Ariel Castro Is Going To Plead Not Guilty

If you believe the attorneys for Cleveland kidnapper and rapist, Ariel Castro, he is a great guy and loving father and all of the reports about him are all wrong and that he is going to plead not guilty to all the charges. When asked by a reporter in Cleveland, how he could explain away all the evidence and the stories from his victims, the attorneys said that would come out during the case. I think they are going to try and convince a jury that they women were there voluntarily and were just into some kind of strange sex. Oh, and if you have not thrown up yet, this will make you. He apparently is looking forward to spending as much time as he can with the child he fathered with Amanda Berry. Ugh.

  1. It's these kinds of lawyers who give lawyers a bad name. I know he deserves a trial and a lawyer, but a good person would take the case and just make sure none of his rights get violated along the way to his lifetime imprisonment or death.

  2. The latest is that he used the oldest one as a punching bag and she will need reconstructive surgery on her face. Hopefully he will get similar treatment in his new home.

  3. The guy should man up & plead guilty. Admit what you did & beg for forgiveness.

  4. What do you tell the child? Name change and move to Europe and say you are orphans or something like that?

  5. Good luck w/ that you fucker. I don't even know why there should be a trial. He's fucked. These girls posters were on every phone pole, every Target, Walmart, Kmart, liquoir stores front doors for 10yrs here in Cleveland. They need to lock him up, in solitary & randomly let him out once in awhile, so he can be raped & beat like how he treated those women.

  6. Just put him in general population and let the problem work itself out. That way he can get raped and beaten just like those poor women.
There's a major flaw in his case - his multiple victims lived and will have their day in a court of law to recount the monstrous things he did. And there are witnesses to their rescue.

  7. Posts like these are what makes me think that maybe Enty is not an attorney.

@iheartgoss - these people make lawyers just as sick as they make everyone else. But we have an absolute obligation to give them our best representation. It's not an easy thing to do, but everyone's rights are stronger when everyone's rights are protected. Statements like yours really, really simplify complex issues like, oh, constitutional rights.

  8. Okay... And after he is brutalized in prison his fellow inmates can tell the guards that they are involved in a consentual adult relationship and they were simply "making love", he was constipated and asked his "boyfriend" to help him with that broomstick, and the brick that fell on his head was due to the shoddy prison construction. Totally believable.

  9. oh, and I'm guessing the not guilty plea is due in large part to the fact that the prosecutor has openly stated, repeatedly, that they are not done charging him yet.

  10. I don't (always) condone vigilantism but when I do, I say string him from his balls if he has the nerve to plead not guilty.

  11. I dont like this case at all. The horror!
I really wish these 3 ladies could spend 48 hrs with him & let them have their way with him. After that, he should be put in prison & be anyone's fuck-mate, everyday, for the rest of his life! May he rot in hell.

  12. Death would be too good for this piece of trash. I wish they would put this garbage in the general prison population but we all know prisoners have rights. ::smdh:: I also wonder if he's going to pull the insanity card and pretend he didn't know they weren't there voluntarily because he wasn't in the right frame of mind.

    Disgusting pig

  16. I'm with gypsy on this - I don't believe in vigilantism but in this case perhaps an exception should be made. Bet there are more than a few cops who would willingly turn their backs when the mob shows up.

  17. He has GOT to be kidding!!!!!!! I read two of the women CANT MOVE their heads from being chained in one position, all 3 greatly malnourished, all have bedsores and hair loss, which will NOT grow back due to malnutrition. So yeah, im sure they all enjoyed the hell out if that. Spare us your bullshit story and go straight to hell.

  18. The job of a defense attorney is one of the skeeziest jobs in the industry. They are usually in it for the huge payday and have very low morals.

    ReplyDelete
  19. So then why did he write a suicide note admitting he was a sexual predator?? Why is he on suicide watch now? Not guilty my ass. No jury will buy it.

  20. I hope there is some way to remove any of his parental rights (real or imagined). Does he have any right to see that child considering she is the product of a crime that he committed on her mother? He can't have the abiltiy to torment Amanda forever, can he?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Let him plead not guilty and claim he is a great family man, and then his kids will all take the stand and talk about the way he treated his ex-wife and the injuries she sustained at his hands (and I'm sure the judge will allow it because some of those beatings happened after the first victim was kidnapped).

He is entitled to a defense, but these attorneys are going to look pretty damn foolish when the prosecution presents the case. They probably won't even need all 3 of the women to testify, Amanda alone will be enough.

He won't get near the child, no judge will allow it once her medical records are presented.

  22. SOP. He'll plead guilty if there's an offer on the table but given the probability there will be capital charges, I doubt he will get the chance to cut a deal for life instead. Should be a prosecutorial slam dunk at trial.

  23. It's the defense attorney's job to mount the best defense he can. But how his are going to sleep at night is mystifying. Having to defend that piece of vile trash would make me quit and go become anything other than an attorney.
You do have to sympathize with the Public Defenders attorneys though - they get into it to protect the rights of the innocent and wrongly accused and end up with nightmares like this being assigned to them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @staple I don't get why you felt my post was saying anything different than what you said. I said his rights deserve to be protected and that's what the lawyer should do, but pleading not guilty and saying how they'll show his innocence has nothing to do with his rights. They're just hoping to get a payday off of it.

  25. This monster is allowed legal council because that is the way our system works. If a defendant is guilty, it is not the lawyer's job to LIE to get him/her off; rather, the lawyer's job it to make sure the client's rights are protected during the legal process. It's only the lawyers who LIE in the name of "zealous representation" who deserve our condemnation.

Yes, I'm married to a lawyer.

  26. Oops, I meant "legal counsel" not "legal council".

grade A asshole if there ever is one. The other day i had my windows closed in bedroom and felt suffocated, i cant imagine being imprisoned for years.

  28. Begin broken record: why wasn't this guy in jail? He broke his wife's nose twice, dislocated both her shoulders, caused her to have an inoperable brain tumor and continued beating her in the head, sometimes with a lead pipe, even after the diagnosis. He imprisoned his three daughters. Law enforcement had ample opportunity to get this sicko off the street and did what? ALL that violence was OK because it was in the family??

Is it rocket science to think removing some of these violent men, especially those violent to their own family - such as the dead Boston bomber, would be a GOOD idea and save lives? Or does it just not matter because it's women and children??

    /end yet another crazed rant

  29. He can plead not guilty all he wants, there's no way he will be found anything but guilty!

  30. I say this as an attorney: whomever is representing this scumbag (that word seems too generous for him) should BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Yes, he is entitled to representation, but the public defender's office is what he deserves, not some high-priced private lawyers looking to make a name. I find it disgusting, the welfare of a child is at stake.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The three women should be allowed to cut his dick off with a dull knife and let him bleed to death.

  32. @Patty:

    http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/2012/08/31-states-grant-rapists-custody-and-visitation-rights/56118/

Horrifying but true. At least as of last August, 31 states had no problem in concept with giving a rapist visitation rights to his child. I sincerely hope that in practice, this rarely happens. In hearings, the rights of the child triumph the rights of either parent and I'd like to see the judge who signs the order giving him visitation.

The rest is just legal folly. Of course his attorneys will have him plead not guilty. It puts the burden on the prosecution to either put the three victims on the stand, or let Ariel Castro plead to a sentence that, for instance, takes the death penalty off the table.

And it is the job of the defense team to do just that. No matter how horrendous the charges, everyone accused of a crime has the right to an attorney. I can support that right while despising the crimes he is accused of.

    1. There is no reason in this world to ever have a rapist's kid. That's just bad breeding. It's a total risk to society considering men with personality disorders rape. Who in their right mind would want that genetic trash! The mother herself would be at greatest risk of having the kid beat her to deah as soon as it could.

      Delete
    2. @_-_=_ are you fucking high??? Amanda gave birth to this bastard's child in a kiddie pool! None of these girls ever had medical attention while they were imprisoned. You really think she had a choice? & that whole genetic bs you're pulling is trash. Heffah please. That little girl will now continue her life, growing up with a loving family, along w/ the other 2 girls. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. She is not a psychotic because of how she was conceived, but a normal 6yr old girl that will forever be loved, & have a normal, happy childhood now.

  33. I agree that every lawyer has a right to defend his client to the fullest degree possible IN THE COURTROOM. You can prove what a great guy your client is there. It just induces vomit to hear this crap about what a great guy my client is at this point in time. Murder case in my area right now and you just want to tell the lawyer to shut the f**k up also because the lawyer is setting himself to look like a liar already.

You can say I believe my client is innocent and let's not prejudge until the facts come out but you paint a pretty picture of your client especially in the case of heinous crime and then it turns not only did your client do it but he is far worse than anyone imagined you got some big ass egg on your face which only damaged your own credibility at least in the public sphere.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @TinaMallette: I have to disagree: This is pre-trial posturing, and it's normal and legitimate. I didn't see them painting a pretty picture, just stating that the facts are not all out. Which is what any criminal defense lawyer would say at this point.

I haven't come across anything saying that the lawyers are claiming it was all willing kinky stuff and the victims wanted to live that way. They've just said, "Not Guilty," and now the prosecution has to prove its case.

If they did any less than that, they'd deserve to be disbarred. Their sole duty is to defend their client. The prosecution expected this.

It's uncomfortable and I hate to think of those women taking the stand and being humiliated or portrayed as kinky sluts. My heart is very much on your side - send him away already. But give him due process, not so much for his sake, but for everyone accused.

Every defendant has the right to legal representation. Without it, we might as well be a fascist state. If for some reason they ever come after me, I want a defense lawyer.

  35. @__-__=__ - sometimes women don't have a choice. Hell, they didn't have a choice as soon as 50 years ago and it's in the process of being taken away again since some fucked up in the head men think that women have the ability to "shut it down" and can't reproduce after being raped.

Many children of rape from women who had no choice except to birth them went on to do great things. Just because your sperm donor is an asshole doesn't necessarily mean you'll be one.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This asshole can fuck. right. off.

And ___-___=___, actually sometimes there are "reasons in this world to ever have a rapist's kid" - like when you're being held captive by an asshole like this or JC Dugard's captor. I would imagine for these women, those children, despite who their fathers are, are all they have in the world. Those children did not choose to have those assholes as fathers.

  37. This is exactly what I expected. Castro's a sadist. He's had all these years of torturing these girls. This is his last chance to do so. The final agony he can put them through is to plead not guilty, drag out the proceedings, force them to testify, and claim they wanted it. He's going to milk every last drop of sadistic pleasure he can from these girls before he's finally put away. Even then, I'm sure he'll be trying to get messages to them. Their terror will never end until he dies.

  43. This dude is going to burn and burn hard. I just don't see any legal holes he can jump through to get away with this.

If he really wants to play the innocent card, he must have a nice card up his sleeve. If not, start building the insanity case now.

And it is infinitely too early to jump on the defense. Everyone is 99.9999999999% sure of his guilt, but he is still innocent. And a good defense team forces the prosecution to not go through the motions, which is a good thing.
