Your Turn
With all the cast members who have left SNL last season and this season, do you think the show will still be good next season? Should SNL continue forever?

theres a wealth of talent waiting in line......
As long as Drunk Uncle is still in the show, I'll be there.
I haven't laughed out loud in months
Lorne needs to start introducing other ethnicities in his cast. Can he hire a couple Latinos? Asians? Perhaps they can add some fire to this dying ship since SNL rarely had a funny episode this season.
Agree MISCH. These people that are leaving took over from awesome talent too. It's the circle of life, lol.
Since when did SNL's existence depend on having good cast members? There have been more bad years than good, but it still is better programming than anything else at that hour.
SNL will be around forever - it's a talent incubator.
Didn't know it was still on, stopped being funny, interesting or relevent years ago.
SNL has sucked shit for over three decades. It needs to be shot to death by a firing squad. Lorne Michael uses SNL as his casting couch. Want to get ahead - suck Lorne's small cock.
Still be good!!!! It hasn't been good for 20 years!! It amazes me that it is still on and discussed. I guess mostly for political satire.
They should hire me, for starters... Darn, if I only knew how to get in that circle!
I haven't watched it since the 1980's.
There are still some talented people left holding the bag at the end of the season. I actually think they have a better male cast than the females - some of the girls REALLY get on my last nerve. Not saying that I think SNL is great anymore by any means, but every now and then they have a great bit or two. I like almost any sketch Kenan is in, and Bobby Moynahan is pretty funny. I think the writers often don't do the cast justice in showcasing their talents. Just my two cents....
I don't find it funny either. They never seem to know just when to end a sketch. Loved the first few seasons with original cast. Other good people have come and gone but they will forever be my favorite.
Yes and yes. They always seem to find talented people. Sure it isnt always funny, but when it is, its great.
The original group were the only ones I've ever found to be funny.
They always seem to find a new class when a group "graduates". I think it will keep going and it may have a slow year while new people get their confidence up and while the writers learn to write for new people but I think it will keep going as long as Lorne Michaels is around.
It is a way for new talent to be seen. Now if it could just be really funny again. If I see one more episode of The Californians I'll
call it quits.
Del, I have no idea how they kept it going all the season... it was the worst sketch ever... not funny at all!
That crapfest should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. It was painful to watch this past season.
When Amy Poehler left, SNL seemed to have a slew of bad female "replacements" who only stayed for 1 or 2 seasons. This year, however, I really enjoyed Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong (who IS Latina, by the way). I also love Taran Killam and think Bobby came into his stride in a big way this past season. I know UCB and the Groundlings have great talent, I'm hoping someone will scope them out! We need some great new male cast members since Bill, Fred, and Jason are leaving!
My two favorites are Kate McKinnon and Taran Killam.
Last good season was probably when Farley was alive.
There are still a few good ones left. I like Taram Killiam and the newer gal - don't know her name yet, though.
I thought they couldn't possibly have a good cast after Belushi, Murray, Radner and Chase left, but there have been decades of talent that have stepped up and subsequently moved on. And some really awful years in-between.
I like the guy who plays Drunk Uncle, too. But damn, I'm going to miss Bill Hader.
