It's a damned if you do.. thing and I bet when Mrs. Crowe entered into this the (Eyes wide open) she never thought that every move she made was going to be judged.
Did she really, or does he just want to think she did, because he's a lyin', cheatin' sack o'shit and thinks everyone else is the same way? Even if she did, I wouldn't necessarily blame her, considering the lack of respect with which he treats her. (And yeah, Meg Ryan...that's Karma, baby, and it's a bitch! There's another case of it being OK for the man to tomcat all over the damn place, but when she does it, all hell breaks loose; IMNSHO, Russell and Dennis both can take their double standards and cram 'em where the sun don't shine.)

In Australia we never heard of Russell cheating on Danielle, but there were photos of her with her dance partner from Dancing with the Stars & they were quite damning. The media have been sympathetic to Danielle, pointing out that Russell didn't want to buy a house in the suburbs & that he appeared to want to continue to live a jet setting life. I wonder if he knew about the cheating when they were going to buy a house & just couldn't be bothered putting himself out. I know he isn't the most pleasant of people, I just think cheating sucks. And she most definitely knew what he was like, they dated on and off for a decade before getting married.
I dated a guy once who would just go into details over and over again about how he had been cheated on, the pain of it, etc. We dated on and off for two years until he slipped up and I found out he was married the entire time!! Needless to say, after talking to his wife (and apologizing for any pain I'd inadvertently caused) I came to find out this was normal behavior and I was just one of many. He never understood what he did was wrong. However, if they cheated on him or asked for a divorce, he was somehow the victim. I can see Russell being this same type of hypocritical person. Some people never realize it's a two way street.
First of all Russell you should have know something was up when she married you. Honey, you are the nastiest man on earth. Not bathing should be a sin because you would definetly be in hell by now. Plus you a hoe too. Will stick anything with two legs and a split up the middle.
Who gives a flying fuck if she "knew what she was getting into" when she married him? It doesn't justify him cheating. He is nasty, and is not an innocent in this situation.
@anon: There can be no debate about it. Russell Crowe was momentarily A+ list, for reasons I'll never understand, around 2000-2001. There is absolutely no way he is anything but a fat has-been now.
His hissy fits and assaults on hotel staff have been well documented. Major asshat, minor talent.
It will also save him money not having to divorce the next broad who tires of his narcissism and finds new dick.
