Congrats to her! It's funny because I was just looking at an email from Goldstar about Cyndi playing The Greek next week.
Awww, so many memories from that song from my childhood. That was cute. It actually made me tear up a tiny bit, too.
I love Cyndi. Good for her!
As do some of us non-celebrities! Met her once when she was on tour. She's amazing. One of the good ones for sure.
imo she is one of the most underrated artists...she can outsing pretty much any female artist.period. I think bc Madonna sexed up n Cyndi punked up..sex won..Good for her that she's getting shine..
Kinky Boots was a great show my friend at work's husband works on the show and we all went to support him a few months
It isn't 'Broadway' sounding it is a very modern pop sound that you can wiggle your butt in your seat to the music.
I am actually going to watch the Tony's this year.
Kinky Boots is a timebob recommendation!
timebob, you're absolutely right. I saw it a few weeks ago (with another long time reader) and we LOVED it. The dialogue and character attitudes had Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi all over them. It was a truly a great show.
At first glance I thought that was a big red penis Hoda was holding.
So glad to hear this--she and Harvey are so talented. I would love to see this show.
I watched her little reality show a couple of times and she seems like what you see is what you get--a genuinely sweet, talented person.
Love the cyndstress. Much much more talented than ever given credit for.
I haven't seen the show. Watched the movie. Loved it.
Love her.
Love ALL the songs on this album. I was totally on the Cyndi bandwagon in the Cyndi v. Madonna debate.
I saw Kinky Boots last month while it was in previews. It amazing, has a great story about boys not living up to their perceived dads' expectations. It was a fun and lively play. I hope it has a long run on Bway. I cant wait to go see it again.
It's also the 30th anniversary of Girls Just Want To Have Fun.
I loved the movie Kinky Boots and would love to see the musical. "SEX ISN"T SUPPOSED TO BE COMFY!!!" It is the same, right? Had Chewetel Eijofor in it? HOW DO YOU SPELL THAT???
Yes Maja that is the one and they use that line in the show got huge laughs.
I will always love Cyndi, especially for her True Colors residential home.
girls just wanna have fun and time after time will always be timeless classics to me.
Aw, good for her! Love Cyndi, she's such a sweetheart and super talented. I wish I could have been there when she came to Mardi Gras.
