"Over the past few years I have done some radio programs as a guest and now the time has come where I, along with my second ex-wife Carli are going to have our very own radio show every Saturday. Yes, for two hours each week you can hear me coming to you live from my basement with my mom and my dad and celebrities and tabloid writers and all of you too. Whether it is calling in or being a guest, I want as many of you to take part as possible too. Although I am doing it for free and so is Carli, the thing is there are lots of other people who are going to be working on the show who can't afford to work for free."
My father is dead and it's no great loss, but my father-in-law is the best and we've sent him a bunch of fishing stuff to give him the hint to slow down a bit and stop breaking his back trying to help everyone.
He's a great guy, generous and kind, and he should be taking it a bit easier now.
*popping corn* Is this the thread where we're going to get the whole speech about what a Dead-Beat Dad Enty is and how she knows he has the money, he just won't pay it?
My Dad died suddenly 2 months ago and this will be my first Father's Day without him. We were always close and I miss him so much. Happy Father's Day in heaven, Dad.
I haven't spoken to my father since March but I think we're slowing trying to patch things up. His Father's Day card is sitting in my kitchen...whoops! He'll get it a day late, but mailing things late is a genetic quirk I got from him anyway, so he'll understand. Hopefully this next year will be better for us.
My Dad died almost 3 years ago. This Saturday would be his birthday, and then Father's Day is Sunday. Needless to say, I am not feeling so happy these days.
My Dad lives in South America being a travel writer, he's living the dream, what he's always wanted to do, so even though he's far away from me, I'm happy for him. Happy Father's Day Dad. My Step Dad is a therapist who has no plans to slow down even though he's at retirement age, he loves helping his clients and people in general. He's an inspiration and an all around good guy. Happy Fathers Day Step Dad.
greenmountaingal,( my dear sister) - mine was sudden too...it is so shocking. This one will be the hardest, but it will still hurt for years to come. Hang in there sister......and much love and hugs to you.
My dad wasn't perfect, but tried to do his best. I always knew where to find, always knew I could call him in an emergency. Better than my bio-father every way around.
Hugs to all the ones who have lost their dads. Mine passed away 6 years ago and I miss him all the time. For those of you who do still have their dads around, make sure to give him a big hug and tell him you love him.
Yesterday was a great day and I hope today can even be better. To give a little incentive, if we can raise $1500 today, I will reveal 4 or 5 blind items tomorrow from the blind item archives and will definitely be sure to include 1 or 2 really juicy items.
I want to thank everyone who has helped or sent me an e-mail or message on Facebook stating how excited they are about the show. Me too. My mom? Not so much. She is not too keen on having people entering her house early Saturday mornings. I told them if they got me a separate entrance, she would not even notice. Until of course they started cooking.
For those of you who contributed, Carli and I will be thanking you on the air, and yes, one of the first guests will be Jax if she would be willing and that way people can know we are two separate people. I have not asked her yet though.
So, if you are able, please hit the button on the upper left. Have a great day!!
My friend's husband says, 'Most people have a broken soul because of their father. Either because he was a good one, or because he was a bad one.' I want to wish Happy Father's Day to all the kids who're glad that they got one of the good ones, and their dads. For the rest of us, we know what not to be or put up with.
I thought I had lost my dad when he was in that car wreck two months ago. I am so happy and grateful to have him. He's old school dad. Strong, smart and wonderful. He can do anything. So sorry to all that lost their dad. I'm tearing up thinking about it.
My dad died one week after Father's Day last year. It is tough, seeing all the Father's Day commercials it really hits home at times he is gone. Big ups to pop in heaven, hope you are having a good time up there!
But hug your Dad, stepdad or anyone who is a strong influence in your life and be happy they are there.
I'm so sorry for all the losses. You all sound like you have beautiful memories to look back on. Of course having the person here is better, but those memories are a gift you should always cherish. I have no contant, or happy memories, with my father. So much time has gone by, it feels like he's gone- but he just never wanted to be around. However, my step-father is a stand up guy, so happy (step) fathers day to my REAL dad.
To my husband, who dumped me and the kids three months ago and has seen his kids once since then, two months ago: you suck. I never thought I could hate you this much. What happened to you?
My dad was a good man but not a great father. He just didn't know how. I've forgiven him a lot since he died, but even good people can leave deep scars.
I will be burying my dad on Father's Day. He was a good man and I knew as I got older why he was when he was...even thru all the bad I loved him very much.May he be at some sportsbook betting on the horses wherever his spirit is.
Happy Father's Day to my daughter's daddy! She's 6 months old now and this is his first Father's Day. He's a wonderful father and seeing him with her has made me fall in love with him all over again.
My father died over 20 years ago, when I was still in university. I miss him as much today as I did the moment I knew he was gone. :( If I could hug everyone here who has also lost their Dad, I would. Father's Day has always been really hard for me.
My husband is a truly incredible father and I am so grateful that my boys are growing up with such a strong and loving Dad.
We are heading to Banff tomorrow morning to spend the weekend in the mountains - my husband's favourite place.
I would like to post this, in part, because I can't say this on FB, lol. My dad - who is an alcoholic, was physically and emotionally abused by his father (also an alcoholic who killed himself - and was the town doctor in a small town so god knows no one can say a bad word about him even to this day, decades later) and his mother (who was also abused by my grandfather, and who says my dad reminds her of his dead father/her husband and will punish him until the day he dies because of it). He is far from perfect, has had his share of troubles, and as far as his side of the family is concerned, is the 'black sheep' and 'scum'. But he has ALWAYS been there for my brother and I, and while difficult sometimes, is always on my side. He has never raised his hand to my brother or I. He is wonderful, and I tell him every time I talk to him that I love him. He is my daughter's Poppa, and I adore him. Happy Father's Day, daddy <3
I'm sorry for all those who have lost their fathers. My Father never raised his voice or hand to me. He truly is an angel on earth. He worked very hard to provide and would do anything for his family. I love you Dad.
