Alanis Morissette thinks you're a bore. Ironic? No. You're just a bore.
Leave Uncle Joey alone!
I thought it was cute - they're not super-talented, but so many people complain about the examples in that song and these girls finally decided to fix it.
Yeah, that's only about 18 years too late...
An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures
This song is like 20 years old right?
Ironic, no?
Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures
I prefer You Oughta Know. No irony, just rage, and angst, and blow jobs.
Totally with you, Jenn. I was just trying to stay on topic.
Oh my God, what is this, about 15 years too late? Still, I'm glad SOMEONE did it. That stupid song always bugged the hell out of me because nothing in the lyrics was actually ironic, just the diametric opposite of each thing she was moaning about.
Morissette was always a pretentious idiot. Enraged that that the ugly boring guy from that Olsen Twins show no longer wanted to shag you? Right.
This is awesome. Good job, girls!
