Zimmerman Not Guilty

After more than 15 hours of deliberating, the six-woman jury in the trial of George Zimmerman has found the neighborhood watchman not guilty. Zimmerman was accused of profiling, pursuing, and fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black teen, in February 2012. Zimmerman, 29, could have faced life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder. The jury also had the option to consider the lesser charge of manslaughter, which could have meant up to 30 years in prison.

Sad when I come on blogs and read on the racially charged banter. I mean this case was so obvious is was stupid. I'm walking down the street, a man is following me in the rain (with those eyes Zimmerman has), I begin to run, think I lose him. This man never says who he is, what he wants from me, but continues to pursue me. When we finally come face to face the only thing running through my mind is to fight for my life, right. I mean how many times has someone walked behind you at night, and you stopped to let them pass because it scared the mess out of you? How about those dark allies after a night of partying?? Listen, this wasn't about race. This was about a man who was out to prove a point & be the neighborhood hero (even though the robbery perp was caught weeks before). Ok, ok...now back to the scenario. We start fighting. Who knows who was really on top, but who really cares. They were fighting. I then notice his gun, he notices I notice it. He shots me. Now I'm Trayvon Martin, but I'm no color, race, age, only a human minding my business who is now dead. Why didn't good ole Georgie boy just let the kid know hey I'm blockwatch can i ask where you're off to. Why didn't he just identify himself period? So now you cry self-defense when you were the creepy guy following a kid and not saying one word. Come on now, society can't be this closed-minded. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong. Simple and plain. That boy had no chance & didn't even know it.

The kid didn't even need to defend himself. Zimmerman didn't try doing anything all he did was follow him. Big woop. Doesn't mean you have to get on the guy and bash his head into concrete. This case has easy and simple evidence and witnesses. It shouldn't have taken so damn long.

He didn't need to defend himself. Zimmerman didn't do anything to him besides follow him so that doesn't mean he has to get on him and bash the guys head into concrete. The case had easy and simple evidence and witnesses. It's not like it had hidden clues and shit it shouldn't been over a long time ago. And is this kid really so innocent? He's walking around at night by himself. Where are his parents? And she sure knows how to beat someone up so trust me he's not a little baby.

@Yvettie So...let me get this straight after being chased down by an unidentified stranger once you're face to face you're not going to automatically go on defense and/or fight?? GZ never once stated who he was. Natural human reaction is to either go into complete shock and or fight. Be logical please. I'm sure you know how to do that right? Is it our fault GZ never expected to the wrath of chasing down an unarmed kid. Quite possibly like his Myspace page indicated he's the tough guy because he has a gun. Do a little research on your buddy then get back to me.

@Yvettie ur research sucks btw. It was 7:00pm not the middle of the night. Please lock your teenagers up like prisoners each & everyday so they will never run into such problems when walking to your local corner store. When you have them that is.
Oh, and let's not bring this back to race, age, etc. I don't do ignorance.
