Wentworth Miller Comes Out
Much like Fred, the Nickelodeon star, the day previously, there does not seem to be much shock in the world that Wentworth Miller is gay. In today's society, unless you have buried your closetness deep and don't ever act on it, it is tough to avoid being outed, at least privately. Yesterday, Wentworth Miller officially came out in a letter to the president of the St. Petersburg Film Festival. The former Prison Break star and all around guy who you don't usually want be around because he is a bit of an a-hole, had been invited to be a judge in the festival and told the guy that he would love to attend, but can't because he is gay, and that he is upset about the new laws passed by the Russian government related to gay men and women. I think it is great that he took a stand, and that he made it public. Not to be callous or anything, but, if someone offers him $5M to star in a movie that shoots in Russia, do you think he would pass it up? I don't think so either. It is a whole lot easier to take a stand when all they are doing is offering you a few thousand bucks and a plane ticket.
