Blind Item #8

This almost A list mostly television actress who goes from show to show like a treadmill has A list name recognition. She also has had a recurrence of her cancer. She seems pretty hopeful.

  4. When did Locklear have cancer?

Sadly, I think it's Tierney. Falco would be a-list TV.

Whoever it is, I wish her the best. Cancer sucks.

  10. Sad, for whoever it is. I hope it's not Maura Tierney, I'm looking forward to her new show.

  11. Christina Applegate? Hope not...

  12. Edie, Applegate, Maura... Hope it's none of them or anyone else, but prayers to all afflicted.

  13. Other than a couple guest spots on 30 Rock Edie Falco has only been on two TV shows in the last 14 years. Doesn't fit.

  14. Oh man. I hate to guess Maura Tierney but she's been in Newsradio, ER, guest stint on Rescue Me, was supposed to play Lauren Graham's role on Parenthood when she was diagnosed with cancer, had the show with Rob Morrow, guest starring role on The Good Wife, did an episode of the Office and has a new show coming out.
    Cancer is an awful disease.

  15. @Rose Oz, The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie... all on premium cable, and overlapping at times. Don't hate.

  16. It can't be Applegate, as she had a double mastectomy and can't have breast cancer again.

  17. I think it's Maura too, as she goes from show to show. I would think that Applegate and Falco are A List.

  18. If the primary cancer had metastasized isn't it still considered a recurrence, ie breast cancer recur as bone cancer, lung cancer, etc?

  19. Yes, then it is metastatic stage 4. I hope this isn't the case.

  20. Is that why Applegate quit her latest show?

I thought it was weird that she just quit that show.

    1. The network overhauled the show repeatedly, then half the cast left, and then the showrunner/creator. It was a sinking ship, and I think she quit when the creator left- and I don't blame her.

Whoever this is, good luck to them.

  21. I don't think it's weird Applegate left the show, it was a directionless wreck. I love all the actresses mentioned.

  22. @Angela said, "It can't be Applegate, as she had a double mastectomy and can't have breast cancer again."

That is not true. The type of cancer is dependent upon where it started, not where it is. For example, I have colon cancer. If my colon were entirely removed and they found cancer in my abdomen a year later, it could still be colon cancer, just latched onto a different place.

As it happens, mine has already metastasized to the abdomen and liver, but it is still colon cancer.

  23. Feline, my wishes go out to you, and I hope that you are the Lance Armstrong of colon cancer.

  24. Much love to you Feline! I have a dear friend with Stage 4 Colon Cancer and it has metastasized to the liver, etc. She is just the best of the best, and is fighting it, but I worry about her constantly. But while I worry about her she worries about others. She is that kind of lady. You CAN kick it - positive thoughts and love to you!!!

  25. Prayers & hugs to you, Feline!!

  26. Applegate.

Rooting for you, Feline!! F*ck Cancer.

  27. This is sad. Love all of these women. What about Valerie Harper? She's been in a bazillion shows the past few years, too.

  28. @Ryan, lol I wasn't hating. I was just naming the last two and that they equaled almost 15 years alone. To me that isn't going from show to show like a treadmill. It's very steady work.

She also has emmys so that is A not almost. I was just deducting from the clues given.

  29. Definitely Christina Appelgate.
