Blind Item #9

This offspring of a still barely A list singer/celebrity has been borrowing huge sums of money and has a big gambling tab that he owes to the mob. He says his daughter will pay like she has before. So far though she hasn't bailed him out this fourth time.

  1. So there are three people here...?
    Offspring
    Celebrity
    Offspring's daughter (who has money)

  2. So the still A list singer/celeb has an adult granddaughter. You'd think that would narrow it down for me.

  3. I'm going to assume the A list singer is the mother, offspring is a son and "daughter" is the usual Entyism.

How about Streisands son as the gambler? Ooooh, or even more juicy, Cher and Chaz or Elijah? Though Cher is foralways A+++++.

  4. Except Basil, Streisand and Cher aren't grandmothers.

And if the "daughter" has money, she likely isn't a kid herself.

  5. The Cassidy's? Shirley (Oscar winner), David and his daughter? I got nuthin'....

  6. The writing of this blind supports my theory that English is a second language for one Enty.

  7. 1. Mother or Father that is an A list singer/celebrity;
    2. Guy with big gambling debt to mob;
    3. Somewhat wealthy daughter to guy with big gambling debt?

Why does this blind need a flow chart for purposes of understanding?

  9. My head hurts trying to read this. And I suuuuck at grammar!

  10. Makes a whole lot more sense if "daughter" is a typo and they mean "mother". Then only looking for barely A list singer/celebrity and her gambling son.

  11. This Enty is obviously confused.

  12. Eric Roberts. Emma Roberts.

    This is too badly written.

  13. This offspring of a #2 reader's daughter has no f* cking idea what this is supp to mean.

  14. I am confused about the dynamics of this as well, but I will throw out Chaz Bono.

  15. what about Bey and her dad?

  16. and yes, i tried to make sense of the blind, then threw my hands in the air and guessed the first parent/offspring couple that came to mind. I think the blind has a typo

  17. Nicolas Cage and the Coppolas???

  18. I don't have a guess but I'm not sure why so many are having difficulty with the scenario. The still barely A list singer's grand daughter has been payingh her dad's debts but not this time. The singer could be 70ish and the grand daughter late 20's or 30's....at least it's not marked easy easy.

  19. I agree, @MikeAdamson. I do not get all the bitching about this blind. It's pretty straightforward.

  20. Doesn't this have to be someone Tony Bennett's age? I don't know, anything, anymore. I do like the Shirley, David, Katie Cassidy guess, since 2/3 are assholes.

  21. Hmmm...Barely A-list singer/celeb grandad: Ringo Starr?

Son - Zak Starkey? Born in '67, IIRC, and he's in show biz like his dad.

    Granddaughter - Tatia Starkey?

  22. What if the daughter is paying off the debts, but not with cash?

  23. thank you Eric! I was beginning to think I was the ONLY one who instantly thought the daughter was paying her father's debts with sex.

  24. and I really like the David/Katie Cassidy for this one.

  25. Enty needs to start writing blinds with each person involved being assigned a number or letter. Such as "A-list Oscar winner (A) had an affair with troubled starlet (B) and his C-list wife (C) found out." That way pronouns like "he" and "her" don't mess up the reader.

  26. There is no way David Cassidy is making less money than Katie Cassidy. He's a staple on the casino circuit, and they pay extremely well. All he'd have to do is perform a few free concerts to pay off any debts.

It reads like the father isn't famous.

  27. This stuff must be getting outsourced. This reads like it was written by someone for whom English is a second... or third, language.

  28. After the third time bailing him out, shouldn't the bailer have gotten the bailee some help?
