Today's Blind Items - He Can't Stop
This actor is A+ list. Of course he needs to make sure he makes good movies to keep that listing. I don't see him dropping beneath an A for the next five years no matter what he does and he will be at a B forever even if he throws out bombs for the next two decades. Everyone thinks he picks bad movies because he doesn't know what is good. Nope. he picks bad movies because he thinks with the brain between his legs. Our actor knows what makes a good movie but he also knows that when he works on a movie he gets to be free. He can live out his bachelor days again with a woman or two on set. He tries to never work close to home because it's not as fun for him. He enjoys getting out of the trailer sex and having women in his hotel room. Discreetly of course but he knows how to sneak them in because he has been doing it for years. He has had affairs with some of the hottest, most well known women on the planet and that his other secret to not getting busted. Gone are the days when he would play hide the salami with a stripper for $200. Now he focuses in on actresses who also have something to lose if they get caught with a married man. They don't want to see their careers go down in flames but they also know they are going to be in one of his movies so they know sleeping with him is part of the deal plus he will help them get into better movies later when he makes a phone call or two. After years of perfecting his cheating system he just can't stop using it.
Tom Hanks?
ReplyDeleteM. Douglas
ReplyDeleteHarrison Ford?
ReplyDeleteBen Affleck
ReplyDeleteBen Affleck?
ReplyDeleteDuh.
ReplyDeletetara17 that is who popped into my head.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say Tom Hanks.
@tara-joella - his name popped into my head also but do people think he picks bad movies? He hasn't been in many stinkers. I don't think so. Not a lot of A+ actors out there though.
DeleteBen Affleck.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking either Affleck or Nicholas Cage, but is he really an A?
ReplyDeleteWas going to say Brad Pitt until the "married" part came up. Of course, he could be married?
ReplyDeleteThat tripped me up, too, but knowing Enty...possibly a misdirection. I felt like this was Pitt, too, but Hanks is a good guess, as well.
DeleteOk, but Hanks doesn't make consistantly bad movies, does he? (Not being rhetorical, just can't think. I'll have to IMDB.) When I read this, I thought Nic Cage. He keeps making stinker after stinker, with his name above the title.
ReplyDeleteAnd Affleck's fixin' to be Batman, and even if you hate that casting, that's huge.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if it were Hanks or Affleck, would it mention their Oscars?
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking more like De Niro. He has made some questionable decisions in the last several years but will never drop far.
ReplyDeletePacino?
DeleteWhat about Mark Wahlberg
ReplyDeleteI hate to say this... Adam Sandler?
ReplyDeleteThis has Adam Sandler written all over it. Salma Hayek, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Bekinsale, Katie Holmes, Courtney Cox
ReplyDeletedenzel washington
ReplyDeleteI'm on the Affleck train. He picks some real crappy movies sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say Brad until it said married
ReplyDeleteAll of them.
ReplyDeleteSamuel L. Jackson. He's in everything.
ReplyDeleteWhile Adam Sandler *sort of* makes sense, he's a writer on SO many of his movies, that I don't think he fits. He's not "picking" these movies; he's writing them.
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't it be Bruce Willis?
ReplyDeleteOr DeNiro, who has destroyed his credibility over the past decade. He is married with kids.
ReplyDeleteI thought Ryan Reynolds just because of the bad movies.
ReplyDeleteHanks' last two co-stars were Julia Roberts and Halle Berry. They don't need Tom Hanks calling in favors to get work. Willis might work. I think I saw 4 rentals in a row last year where he played mob bosses. None of them very good. He's in the cashing paychecks stage of his career.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Afleck, if only because of the stripper comment
ReplyDeleteBrad Pitt.
ReplyDeleteAffleck, because of his past affinity of strippers and the stripper bit in the blind.
ReplyDeleteAffleck
ReplyDeleteI like the Willis guess, he's made junk lately. Ben has been extremely successful lately. Has Damon made any bombs? Don't think so but could be wrong. This feels like a recycled blind about an a lister choosing to work in exotic places so he could get in on.
ReplyDeleteHope this one is revealed!
I think DeNiro is the best guess out there.
ReplyDeleteFurther proof that it can't be Affleck: "He tries to never work close to home because it's not as fun for him." Affleck's made a bunch of movies in Boston, his hometown, where he and Garner reportedly have a home and spend a lot of time. Plus the only "bad" movie he's made recently is "Runner Runner." DeNiro's list of bombs goes on for miles.
ReplyDelete@125records Other Affleck bombs:
DeleteThe company of Men
State of Play
Hollywoodland
Man about Town
Surviving Christmas
Jersey Girl
Gigli
Daredevil
Changing Lanes
Forces of Nature
He also was busted with strippers while engaged to Lopez.
I am going to say Billy Crystal.
ReplyDelete1. he hasn't chosen the best films for the past few years; and
2. "play hide the salami" is a line from When Harry Met Sally...
Well...his cheating system can't be all that great, because if it's a BV, someone must know and someone opened their mouth.
ReplyDeleteDi Niro did a SNL skit where he lists 'hide the salami' as a terrorist name. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=07d_1358283299
ReplyDeleteEnties love SNL so could be a clue.
Affleck. There aren't that many black chicks in DeNiro movies for this to be him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is Affleck because after "Argo" he's not just an A+ actor anymore. He's now an A+ director, and with his Oscar for writing "Good Will Hunting" I'd say he's not going to drop to B list ever. He'll probably just shift his focus to one of the other areas. Has there ever been an actor who has that sort of a track record before?
ReplyDeleteantonio banderas
ReplyDeleteSpacfleck
ReplyDeleteAffleck isn't an A+ Actor. DeNiro (and pacino and Jack) will be A list forever, none will drop down to a B, no matter ho wmany more bombs they are in. Adam Sandler i just don't think could help anyone get a decent acting career. A mediocre second-string comedy career maybe.
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought deNiro
ReplyDeletepretty sure its ben affleck
ReplyDeleteTotally Tom Hanks.
ReplyDeleteWith such recent stinkers as Cloud Atlas, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Larry Crowne, Charlie Wilson's War, The Terminal, and Ladykillers...he's totally riding on his precedent.
Plus, this blind sounds like it's describing an older actor.
Doesn't have to be the leading ladies he sleeps with, btw. Probably more of the newbies who have more to gain (and lose).
I think Brad - they are the same as married, certainly not single, silly to consider them anything but married regardless of legality.
ReplyDeleteTom Hanks seems to be a good fit.
ReplyDeleteAffleck has been in good films lately. And Adam Sandler just seems to be one of the good guys so I don't think it's him.
Nic cage
ReplyDeleteStill think RDJ is gay or Bi at best. Always have that image of him blowing James Spader in Less Than Zero in my head.
ReplyDeleteBen Affleck

ReplyDeleteTom Hanks. He told me.
ReplyDeleteAgree with canasta-totally Denzel all the way. Isn't it common knowledge that his costars are expected to put out if he ok's them for the role?
ReplyDeleteThis is someone with the power to "make a phone call or two" to get his female co-stars bigger and better roles. Hanks, Denzel or DeNiro.
ReplyDeleteDon't see Willis or Harrison Ford with quite that level of pull, maybe 10-15 years ago but not anymore. RDJ's wife is with him during most shoots.
Affleck has more pull now as a director, but no way as an actor - he's not A+ for that!
I read it as Denzel Washington.
ReplyDeleteAffleck has his own prod co w/ wb so he can get anyone hired on at wb. he is their boy, they will do anything for him.like make him batman.
ReplyDelete"Bachelor days" + Bachelor Party = Tom Hanks
ReplyDeleteBen Affleck's bad movie phase was over a while ago. He's totally redeemed himself since Gone Baby Gone came out.
ReplyDeleteTom Hanks will always be A and had made some duds the past few years, but I hate to think this is him!
Is Bruce Willis really always going to be A? This sounds like something he'd do. He seems slimy to me.
I don't see how this is Ben - he has not been making bad movies. He just won the freaking Oscar! Adam Sandler and Mark Walhburg - now they seem to purposely pick shit movie after shit movie. You'd think just by the law of averages, they hit a quality flick once in a while.
