Charles Manson Is Getting Married

A 25 year old woman who moved next to the prison where Charles Manson is housed six years ago to be closer to him has told Rolling Stone that the couple intend to marry. To tell you just how crazy she seems she craved an X into the middle of her forehead to match his tattoo. I would say she is trying to get around the Son of Sam laws by marrying the guy and thinks she will make money after he dies but anyone who decides at 19 to change their name to Star and carve something in the middle of their forehead so they can have a romantic relationship with someone sixty years older than her is not really all there. Star visits Manson in jail ten hours each week and has lots of websites and videos she has created to tell you why she thinks the guy should be released.

The men of the world should b releived that this very unstable female is taken out of the pool of (us) barely stable women in this country.

Rest assured that your tires and testicles are ok......

  8. A star?! Doesn't that sick fucker have a swasticka carved in his forehead? Is that what we're calling it now a star? How cute.

  9. It's not an X, it's a swasticka. Good lord, stop neutralizing everything. He is a viscious, evil person.

  10. Tell me again why he is A) still alive, and B) allowed to have visitors?

    1. A) Manson did receive a death sentence, but California briefly overturned the death penalty and once it was reinstated it was considered "cruel and unusual" or some such claptrap to put him back on death row.

      Stupid.

  11. Hopefully she won't be a conduit to continue his "work". If brutal murders start occurring again - there's one place to look. Scary...lock your doors California.

  12. What a beautiful engagement photo. I wonder if that will be on thier home page at theknot.com? What did they registered for? Cyanide maybe?

  14. From 1972-76 the death penalty was illegal in the US. Manson was convicted during this period and that's why he is still alive. I would definitely support NSA surveillance of this chick.

  15. I hope Charlie gets her to hook for him and makes her put the money in his commissary acct.

And it just goes to show you, there will never be a shortage of mental broads.

  16. Someone needs to tell her to watch the movie The Paperboy.

  17. She's not a bad looking girl. If she really needs to fuck an older guy then she can give me a call.
Granted I'm not a murdering piece of shite & sick son of a bitch, but i'm easy to please & a bit desperate & if she wants I'll scowl a lot & maybe grow a goatee.

  18. She probably is motivated by money, because while the Son of Sam laws are unconstitutional, Charlie has been isolated from the press for the past decade. Prison officials got sick of all of the publicity he was generating by constantly being interviewed for his album and other stuff, so they barred the press access to him. Now, he has a mouthpiece with extensive internet access.

  19. She must be seriously mentally ill. Can you imagine if this woman was your sister or daughter? I just can't wrap my head around any part of this situation.

  24. Son of Sam laws block criminals from profiting from their crime. Basically, you can't kill a bunch of people then sell your story and autographs and what not.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Flirty - Son of Sam laws ban murderers from profting from their crimes, ie, book deals, movies, etc. The first law was passed in New York to stop Son of Sam, Berkowitz, from receiving an advance for a book deal he had signed with a publisher. Most states followed NY and adopted similar laws. A few years back, the SC overturned the laws, finding them unconstitutional. It was an 8-0 decision.

  26. The swastika was originally an "X" which all of the "Family" carved in their heads to symbolize withdrawing ("x"ing) themselves from the establishment. The swastika didn't appear until the 80s.

Manson was actually convicted in 1971 and given the death penalty. It was commuted to life with out parole when the death penalty was declared unconstitutional in 1972.

Little known fact: Manson once studied, and considered himself to be, a Scientologist.

    1. Except that even Manson recognized that Scientology was a cult and too freaky for him.

He also audition for the Monkees. Mikey, Davey, Mike and Psycho.

  27. Son of Sam laws are not necessarily unconstitutional. When the original New York law was struck down, the supreme Court specifically stated that such laws could be written to pass constitutional muster. Most states have some form of Son of Sam laws on the books, most are written to trigger extensions in the period a victim had to sue a perpetrator in civil court if a criminal is able to enter into a "profit making" deal.

  28. There was one book about Manson, that goes into The Process, an off shoot of some sort of Scientology. There were 2 chapters on Scientology which were removed from the book, due to a lawsuit, but are available online.

I think The Process was either similar or a precursor to The Family cult that the Phoenix's were in. Charlie took the hooking for the cult idea from them. I forget what it was called, Freaky Fishing, or some thing. Basically the female members used their vaginas to gain funds and converts for the cult.

It has been a while since I read this stuff and I could very well be off. Use this post as a jumping off point for your own research, not as concrete fact.

  29. Yes, there are still Son of Sam laws, however, my understanding is, for all intents and purposes, the heart of the original Son of Sam laws are no longer enforceable, ie, a criminal can receive monetary compensation (profit) for telling his or her story. The modified laws speak to the victims' rights - they have to be notified if the criminal receives over a certain amount of money for his story, extended statute of limiations for civil suits.

  30. I don't even know what to say to this.

    ReplyDelete
  31. How would the Son of Sam law apply to her? She didn't commit the crimes. Hell, she wasn't even born. This girl needs therapy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. This is disturbing, she is clearly unstable and his gift was convincing others to do his bidding.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Pip, most SoS laws also prevent family members from profiting.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yuck!
One of my classmates in high school (mid 1980's) was corresponding with him for a while. I never read the letters but from what he said about them, they were rambling and incoherent. He thought it would be cool to say he got a letter from Charles Manson, but one of our teachers told him to stop writing.

  37. Son of sam laws- criminal and family cannot profit from their crime. IE, if she marries him and writes a boo, the proceeds wld go to victims families. She is beyond nuts and delusional is she thinks he is husband material. he"d kill her as soon as look at her. Fool.

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Liddy: No he wouldn't. Charlie never killed any of his whores. Yes, they were all whores.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Too bad Sharon Tate and all the others the Manson family killed can't enjoy their marriages, kids, and grandkids because they had it all ripped away from them by this group of psychos.

Whatever happened to Squeky Fromme? Hasn't she been released by now?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Count didnt say he did. As far as I know he did no killing, except maybe out in the desert. Im saying that iif he were to be released and somehow she hindered him he wouldnt think twice about killing her because he is a sociopath.

    ReplyDelete
  41. yep Squeaky is out and about- she was in a women's prison camp in WV forever.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Squeaky blew any shot at release when she escaped that time in the 80s/90s.

re Sharon Tate: The world would be a better place if Polanski was home that night.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Dang! Redd is correct, she was released in 2009. I never woulda thunk it.

She a little too old to bone for the novelty of it. SFW

  44. Squeeky had anything to do with the Tate/LA Blanca murders, at least not directly. I can't remember if she testified or not.

She was in jail for attempting to assassinate President. Ford.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Count Jerkula - you are talking about The Family by Ed Saunders (the book with the chapters removed). Coming Down Fast by Simon Wells also goes into it.

Would disagree regarding the 'whores' comment. Manson was well known for being violent towards his women, particularly Snake, and there are a number of Jane Doe murders around LA that have been potentially attributed to members of the Family.

Manson has not been proven to have killed anyone as such but did apparently stab Gary Hinman with a sword and did shoot a black drug dealer named Lotsapoppa (thought he killed him but didn't, Lotsapoppa later stood trial). Wouldn't surprise me if he had killed, he's a psychopath.

  46. Aunt liddy not all the SoS laws prevent family from profiting. That is actually a newer addition to those types of laws. California does not allow family to profit

Having said that, arguably, she could profit from something along the lines of "My Life with Charles Manson"

    ReplyDelete
  47. All the women got knocked around regularly and yes, Snake got the shit beat out of her by Manson and was gang raped on his orders regularly.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Fitzroy: I think he cut off Hinman's ear.

I thought Manson killed the ranch hand Shorty, or did he have Tex do that too?

All the Manson women whored for him. Whether it was for rent on a ranch, for influence with the bikers/other dudes, for money, or for access in the LA circles.

Knocking them around is to be expected, what other way is there to keep a whore in check and instill fear in the other ones?

I never remember hearing of Jane Doe hooker corpses being attributed to Charlie. Any link to read from? You would think that the others who knew of other killings or Family members disappearing suspiciously would have said something by now. Of course I assume in the 60's there were plenty of dead hookers around LA, from Marilyn Monroe to Jane Doe.

  49. Thanks everyone for explaining SOS laws to me.

  50. Count-he was a pimp and a manipulator and dont think he made any money off them, but wkd regularly iffer women to his "friends", or stage orgies.

    ReplyDelete
  51. He supposedly-as per Ed Sanders, The Family and another book by DA i think-would pick up random hitch hikers and "sacrifice" them. No one knows if its true because everyone so f*cked up in drugs, including manson, they couldnt really know reality from fantasy. I kind of doubt manson git hus hands dirty; he liked the orchestration of misery, not the doing. Sick psychopath-not sociopath as i said earlier, i looked it up-sick pos.

    ReplyDelete
  52. @The Count -- I think it was/is called Flirty Fishing, and of course, the Family/Children of God cited Biblical passages to support the validity of teaching woman and children to practice it.

And, yes, if only Polanski had been there that night!

Read it years ago, but the book by Vincent Bugliosi, L.A.'s D.A. at the time, seemed to be very factual as well as fascinating reading. He had a co-author; the short title was Helter Skelter.

I think a good well-written true crime story is timeless because the same [kind of] monsters have walked with us for ages.
