In Touch Says Miley Cyrus Needs Rehab

In Touch sets the ground work this week for the inevitable Miley Cyrus rehab stay. It will happen and they say it will be sooner rather than later. I have to disagree with them. I think Miley has another year or maybe even two years before she will need rehab. I think her exposure to the harder drugs has been limited to the occasional coke dabbling. I don't wish rehab on anyone but they make some good points. The article says that Miley hates to be alone and will keep the party going all night long just so she does not have to be alone. She has already said she likes drugs where people do them together. I think at some point her fear of being alone will manifest into other things which will lead her down the drug path and rehab.

The interesting thing is that I think she is much more likely to suffer the 27 curse than someone like Lindsay Lohan who has an addiction problem but will just turn into someone who dies in her 50's or 60's because of drug use rather than some crash and burn overdose.

  1. Miley doesn't need rehab until she leaks that ass-to-ass porn.

  2. I don't really see her that way. I think she's pretty "smart" about her drug use. I guess what I mean is it's the type us 80's kids did. Most of us did drugs and now we're grown up moms and dads with jobs.

    1. She doesn't need rehab. She does need to be careful, but she's rich, young and bored. Both can get her in trouble, but right now, she's ok. Damn. Way to try to tear young folks down, tabs.

  3. Who cares about Miley. Tell me about that pic of Lara Flynn Boyle!

  4. @Reno - I tend to agree w/you. She's not out stealing and getting arrested and being a legit prostitute. She's going a little overboard experiencing freedom for the first time - I think she'll settle down.

  5. She is 20. If every 20-year-old in the world acting like a 20-year-old went to rehab, there would be no more rehab, we would call it finishing school.

    1. @ talks LMAO! Exactly. I liked the social drugs just like Miley when I was 20. whoever this enty is writes like a shut in, who only learns about life experiences from after school specials.

    2. *dead* TTM! You win :)

      As a former 20 year-old, I agree 100%.

  6. Miley doesn't need rehab. She needs to shut the fuck up.

  7. @hollywood & TTM - This pearl-clutching certainly doesn't fit the MO of bacon & booze-loving Ent who drinks from sun-up to sun-down on reveal days.

  8. What is it with celebrities being scared to be alone. I've heard this said about tons of celebs, Blohan, all the way to Elizabeth Taylor. I had a relative that said if you don't like being with yourself, no one else likes it either. Or something like that, long time ago, lol.

  9. @Jodi - Maybe it's something about the personality of people who seek fame. An insecurity where they NEED constant attention, and need people to validate them.

  10. Miley doesnt need rehab. she needs the discipline mom & dad couldnt give her cause she could buy & sell em.

  11. She likes drugs where people do them together - that's interesting.

Not everybody that does coke is an addict. I have no idea whether Miley is or not, but she is certainly addicted to making a spectacle of herself.

  12. Miley inspires "kids these days" syndrome like no one else, even Biebs. She was a pretty, talented singer and actress that tweens adored and parents felt safe with that adoration. Now that she's acting like a spoiled 20 year old seeking attention for her "craft," that safety is gone and "my daughter would never do that" syndrome sets in. Check your daughter's facebook or texts. Chances are, she's done some things you wouldn't approve of even though you did the same stupid things when you were 20.

  13. She's twenty. Have some of your female friends move in and be your roommates. Have a good time and chill out, girl. Damn.

  14. Rehab for what...being a jackass?

  15. It's a known fact that Miley has already gone to rehab twice. Once for becoming addicted to nuts, berries, seeds, and grains and the other for elephantitis of the ego.

  17. Limited to only Coke?

You realize she did a whole song about Molly right? (MDMA for the uninformed.)

  18. I think Miley is too driven to fuck up that bad. Say what you want, but that girl works her ass off and and plans everything down to a T. She strikes me as one of those who parties hard on the weekends, then works hard on the weekdays and smokes joints all in between. Which sounds pretty fun for a 20 year old.

  19. Hey, Enty:

"Yeah, when you're famous it can be kinda fun
It's really you but no one ever discovers

In some ways you're just like all your friends
But on stage you're a star

You get the best of both worlds
Chill it out, take it slow
Then you rock out the show

You get the best of both worlds
Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds"

  20. i think she a FAKE drug kid
she probably smokes a lil weed
but i dont believe none that other shit think she says this all for her new lil image

  21. There are some people who can take or leave drugs. Some can't. They get addicted after the first snort or puff. Miley's likely the former.

I didn't touch the hard shit. It's because I didn't want to die. (Coke + heart murmur = forget it.)

  22. +1 Jsierra

She is way too driven to be as fucked up as Lohan. My humble opinion. Hope I'm not wrong, though...

  23. I'm with Meanie and Sierra..I think she's very driven and will not fuck this up. And I also think she's a normal 20 year old. How many remember their college years (if you went). They were wild and experimental and all about having freedom for the first time in your life. I think that's where Miley is.

  24. This child grew up in the business. And it is clear to me, that unlike many of her predecessors, she's calculated to a tee. She knows exactly what she's doing. It's fame whoring at its finest.

Not saying she won't end up there. Bit I think her drug use & slutty behavior are all kinda blown up to seem more newsworthy. She's gonna live forever..........just like her DOUCHETASTIC dad. Oh the humanity ...

  25. Well, hell, random hook-ups in her 20's, sounds like I should have been drawn and quartered too because I sure as hell enjoyed them way back then.

I have to disagree - I think she's fully aware of what she's doing and will keep surprising everyone with her antics until she finds the style of music and image that suits her. She strikes me as being smart with her $ and having huge ambition ... I hope I'm right. I see her more as today's version of Madonna than a train wreck waiting to happen.

  27. I see this again and again on this site, seemingly most often said by people who are no longer in their twenties; "She's just a kid, she's only 20, she's young and dumb" - and it bothers me greatly.

I'm in my twenties right now, and I have several years left as a 20-something-year-old. I do not act like this, I have never acted like this, and I will - in all probability - never act like this. "Young and dumb" is a poor excuse for irresponsible behavior; if you consistently act like you're dumb, then it's more than likely because you are in fact dumb. Will you be wiser tomorrow than you are today? Probably. But smarter? Most likely not.

Personality is a bigger factor than age when it comes to behavior; if it wasn't, then we would all act exactly the same way at the same age. That is not the case. Childhood personality traits are a strong predictor of adult behavior. The people around me who drink excessively, do a lot of drugs, and sleep around a lot, are - without exception - people with serious emotional problems. Did their emotional problems act as the cause of their behavior, or did their behavior cause their emotional problems? For most of them, it's a combination of both.

I think before I act - carefully. I have always thought before I acted, as I am very much aware of the consequences of both other people's and my own actions. Logically, my chronological age has limited how far I can think to a certain extent (e.g. as a kid), i.e. how far ahead into the future I can look; but my personality and my cognitive abilities made me think before I acted from a very young age. In fact, as long as I can remember, and my first memory is from when I was 2-3 years old. Thinking before you decide to act, greatly reduces the chances of regretting something you did or didn't do; and as we only live once, I would like to live a long and happy life with as few regrets as possible. That said, do I regret some of the choices that I've made in the past? Of course. Absolutely. But compared to all of the bullets that I've dodged, I can live with the ones that hit me.

There are certain things I don't need to try for myself, to know what the outcome will be. Because although there are some people who can only learn through personal experience, there are others who can learn simply through observation and second-hand experience.

  28. One of the most noticeable traits about 20-somethings is their focus on themselves to the exclusion of all else. Almost eerie. It's like sometimes all you hear when they are talking is: Me me me me ME me meme and then I me me me. So next time me me me me MEMEME me me and in conclusion: me.

Hey, where's Beaker from yesterday? That guy was awesome!

  29. @85134943 I really hope my kids turn out like you! Seems unlikely with the parents they've got, but I can dream!

    ReplyDelete
  30. She's college age, right? Everybody is drinking and doing drugs at that period of their lives. You had to regularly black out & do dangerous crap to stand out as having a problem at that age.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @85134943
I'm the same age as you and I totally agree. When I was a teenager all my friends did drugs, smoked and drank. I went to a school populated mostly by the kids of extremely wealthy absentee parents so there was a lot of drug activity. I would drink at parties and I would smoke cigarettes, but I never touched drugs because even back then I'd seen people die from a bad batch of MDMA and I was not going to risk my life for a good time.

You are accountable as a teenager. You are accountable in your twenties, and your thirties. Being 'young and stupid' is an excuse. I was young and stupid then, but I still didn't do drugs.

I didn't judge my friends, who often did them in front of me. I didn't let myself be swayed by a desire to fit in or peer pressure.

I wasn't an angel. I was having sex before any of my friends because it made me feel grown up and cool, I smoked a lot in spite of my health issues and I even got drunk on a school trip which was so obnoxious and dumb, but I take responsibility for my choices.

Miley does drugs because she wants to, not because it's something everyone does at her age.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @85134943 - Jeez how do you walk through life with that stick up your ass. Better yet put on another person's shoes and walk a bit.

FINE, you chose not to do what others did. Good for you. But not everyone takes the same path to wisdom.

Seriously ALL the people around you who drink or do drugs have emotional problems? Judgmental much? I'm usually the most non-confrontational person here but I think you're an asshole. And a child who has zero idea about life.

At age 20 I was a wild child like Miley. At age 23 I had my own business that eventually employed 10 people. Granted, not huge but I was responsible for making sure everyone got paid and I gave them health insurance and paid vacation to boot.

I'm 53 now and personal "issues" notwithstanding I still make a good showing for life. I manage to perform my job well, assist in taking care care of an elderly parent with dementia and feed that homeless lady on my front stoop (until I can get a social worker to assist me). Oh, and I have a wonderful relationship with my partner/friend/husband of 17 years and my cats of 19. In other words (hold onto your girdle Myrtle) I'm somewhat NORMAL.

And I have NO REGRETS for anything I have done, by the way. I have accepted myself, I accept others for who they are and everything has been an amazing lesson and journey that has made me wiser.

Get back to us when you've had a bit more experienced. Then you can tell us how your 20's were compared to the rest of your life. You are far too young to be making judgments at this juncture. At least for others anyway.

  33. Sounds like a few people here wasted their youth by not joining in on the fun by becoming a wasted youth. You don't know what you missed people. Watch Dazed and Confused. That's what you missed. It was a blast. Wish you could have been there.
