But Im kinda a hypocrite cause I make fun of Tori Spelling but her parents were never lookers to begin with...and The Willis girls arent THAT bad just um not THAT great...and need to surrender the fantasy of having a career in Hollyweird

ReplyDelete@Tina Mallette, perhaps I'm out of touch, but I haven't heard anything about the Willis girls studying acting, directing, producing, or technical skills in any depth. If they did, they have the same right to dream about a career in Hollywood as anyone else in their age group.
ReplyDeleteWhat they can't expect to do is just walk into a career based on their looks and name as, say, Dakota Johnson has done. The name's not working and they don't have the looks. They could go the Mamie-and-Eve Gummer route and look for character parts, but that requires serious acting training, not just showing up.
NuttyFlavor, you are right. The Willis girl doesn't want to do the homework or any work. She wants to waltz to fame and honestly she really isn't as gorgeous as her mother. It's just the truth.

That is why I said IF they are willing to do the hard work, they can have careers and I agree 100% with what you said.
If they are coasting on the parental fame, beyond getting a reality show like all the other talentless people who I do not need to name, they will get nowhere. I wasn't aware of what these girls have or have not done. Shame on their parents for not encouraging their daughters to get experience and/or training in something.
I just didn't like the insinuation that just because they were not as beautiful as their mother they did not have a right to dream about a career at all. Given their mother's beauty cost a lot of money, you could also understand where they got the impression they could buy their way into a Hollywood career too.
Demi was better looking before the "improvements".
ReplyDelete@Tina Sorry if I came off wrong - I wasn't disagreeing. I think we both agree: they need to do the work if they want to make a career for themselves. And it's hard, and there's no guarantee of success. Maybe they should leverage their contacts instead by becoming celebrity real estate agents or dentists or bar owners. You know, the Rande Gerber path to influence.

ReplyDelete@Tina---there have been several blind items revealed stating that the Willis girls often act bratty and entitled. One example is Rumor having a guest role on Pretty Little Liars and being rude to the crew and cast mates. If it wasn't for her last name doubts she would be hired in the first place, let alone feel entitled to act like a bitch. I believe on of the girls really does not like the spotlight and graduated college recently. She will probably have a more successful and fulfilled life compared to her sisters.

ReplyDeleteI've read that Rumer is really upset that she hasn't gained superstardom just because of her name. They actually said this in "Kneepads" (quoting a source) so it's probably true. I don't think any of those girls are willing to work for anything, they just want movie careers handed to them because they are Bruce and Demi's kids.
