Demi Lovato Was A Coke Fiend
Demi Lovato is finally telling the truth about what sent her to rehab and she is doing it in a big way. In an interview with Access Hollywood she says that at the peak of her coke addiction she couldn't go longer than 30 minutes to an hour without coke and that she would smuggle it on planes and wait until passengers were asleep and then do it in her seat or go to the bathroom constantly. She says she did all of this even though she had a sober companion with her 24/7. So, yeah when you hear Lindsay Lohan use a sober companion as an alibi don't believe her. Brooke Mueller also had a sober companion when she used.
Demi says she used to fill Sprite bottles with vodka and drink out of them all day long. I'm sure Sprite is thrilled they were the bottle choice of an alcoholic Demi Lovato.
Demi went on to say that she has dealt with an eating disorder since she was 8 and Demi's mom says that she is responsible for Demi's disorder because she had one herself and would eat and then throw up and did this constantly and Demi learned the behavior from her.
As I have said before the only complaint I have had with Demi in the past couple of years is her unwillingness to discuss why she really went to rehab. With that out of the way now, I can be fully on board her amazingness at the way she deals with herself and her recovery. If she could only get Wilmer out of her life.
It is wonderful that this young girl can discuss her issues and attempts for recovery. While these Disney tweens are not obligated to be role models, it's nice to see someone trying and perhaps by sharing her story, may save someone else.
ReplyDeleteOne step at a time now Enty, she will hopefully get to the point when she will be rid of VILEmer.
ReplyDeleteShe's got a nice little list of "issues" to keep herself in the spotlight:
ReplyDelete1 Wilmer
2 Coke
3 Drinking
4 Bulimia
5 Mommy
6 Handlers
She can do an interview per month.
Did she get it from Chico?
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to admit to yourself much less the entire world. Here's hoping she gets away from Vilemer as Montana so aptly put it.
ReplyDeleteWhy does " she have to be honest with us about why she went to rehab?" Its none of our business!! I mean, she wants to share, im listening, but if not, her business.
ReplyDeleteI admire her for speaking out.
ReplyDeleteI fucking love Demi.I'm also impressed a at how supportive this post is
ReplyDeleteOh! I didn't even draw the Lohan/Mueller connection when I read her interview. Solid point.
ReplyDeleteThat said, if I got anywhere near that stuff again I could turn like that in a hot minute. I just remember less of the high and a lot more of the feeling like shit the next day. I guess that knowing I could keep Columbia in business and simultaneously drink a hot tub's worth of booze and choosing not to is called being a grown up.
LOL I was just reading the timeline of her rehab on TMZ

She's NOT in Treatment For Drugs!
Did anyone catch her on The LateLate Show with Craig Ferguson? She is so likeable, she was there to promote her book about inspirational quotes and writings for 365 days. It was nice to see her so... authentic.
ReplyDeleteYou know her personal demons belongs to her. She shouldn't have to tell us why for is to be on board!! It's none of our business. We should be supportive regardless. She owes us nothing. She needs to be honest with herself - which I believe she is. Way to go Demi!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe FSP quoted Jazzy Red. That's awesome!! I was thinking I was one of the few remaining people that liked that song back in the day. Every time I hear the word "fiend", I think of that song.
ReplyDelete@MissInfo - that song's a classic!
DeleteIt is about time she admitted this. She would only address her ED for a couple of years, when it was so obvious she had a drug problem too. Either tell all, or keep your mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteDrugs and disorders like Bulimia tend to do hand in hand.
ReplyDeletethat is bullshit. i've been in and out of treatment for anorexia since i was thirteen and i've never done drugs and i don't drink. my only demon is my eating disorder.
DeleteGary T, where do you get that information from? I suffered for 8 years from Bulimia in my 20's, and all the people I know who had an ED did not have a drug addiction.
ReplyDeletePlease don't speak about this unless you have experience. Otherwise, you are talking out of your ass.
Not saying that all those with an ed get drug addictions. The obsession with weight can lead to substance abuse.
DeleteCoke fiend? Nice one.
ReplyDeleteHow many of us have dealt with eating disorders or other addictions? How many of us have been used, abused, taken advantage of? How many of us have been arrested or done things we are ashamed of? And how many of us walk around carrying a sign detailing all of those personal details of our lives so everybody we pass by on a daily basis will know everything about us, because it might "help" these other random people?
ReplyDeleteNaughtynurse: I deal w clients who battle w addictions daily. It never goes away. It's hard work. Everyone has their poison.
DeleteHow do people like celebrities who are frequent flyers sneak cocaine onto planes and not get caught at least once.
ReplyDeleteYes, Rach. I know. I struggled with eating disorders for many years before getting healthy, and it's something I have to deal with every day for the rest of my life. Eating disorders are horrible addictions, just like alcohol and drugs, but worse, because you don't HAVE to buy alcohol or drugs, but you MUST have a body image and you MUST eat food in order to survive. Kudos to you for helping people recover.
ReplyDeletei wonder if the blind gossip about the nude pics of her and wilmer being the worse bf ever, joe jonas recent article led to her making this shocking revelation. I hope this openness leads her to do a total life inventory and dump wilmer and other bad people out of her life.
ReplyDeletePositive I commented on this, but like most of my comments, they end up disappeared, 1-2 days later. I know she has had several relapses in the last 18 months, pretty tough ones, I wish she could take 6 months off and go hike around where no one knows her name. Or, I'd let her come stay w me and mother her. Sounds like she needs a real one. Hope she gets better, and leaves that douche nozzle Wilmer in the dust.
ReplyDelete@ Runswithscissors:
ReplyDeleteI saw her on Craig & found her to be very charming. Even my cynical husband liked her even though he didn't expect to & made a comment about it.
Her laugh is adorable. I'm rooting for her to keep it together.
