ReplyDeleteMaybe Aronofsky and Crowe have "Career Opportunities" and "The Hot Spot" on endless replay on their DVD players. Anybody would want to be close to Connelly after seeing those two movies back to back. Jennifer Connelly around 1991 may have been the most beautiful woman who ever lived. At least she would have given Grace Kelly & Helen of Troy a run for their money.

When the movie ended I turned to my ex and said "so who was Kaiser Souze?" He seriously looked at me like nick looked at Jessica after the tuna fish/chicken discussion. I'm not very, um, "swift". After rewinding and gingerly explaining to me the ending, I too thought the movie pretty badass.

I also lurve Kevin Spacey. No matter what anyone can say about him being an ass to people he's still an amazing actor and yes..Kaiser Souze.

Thank you JBE..That was always something I wondered. If that was the same Jennifer I thought it was. She's lost so much weight and her curves too. Shame. Stil gorge though.
@fancy, have you heard the story about the line up scene?
ReplyDeleteApparently, Benicio del Toro passed gas and the rest of them lost it laughing.
As a result, the other actors kept cracking up while director Bryan Singer angrily told them to keep their shit together. It didn't help that, according to Kevin Spacey, the actors were intentionally trying to get the usually serious Gabriel Byrne to laugh, and even got him to do impersonations. Eventually Singer gave up and just left the actors' completely improvised interaction in the movie -- you can clearly see them trying not to giggle and utterly failing.
You're welcome Count. There's also another set of Miranda that I like. It's actually a series of pap shots of her doing a phota shoot where everyone is walking back to the tent and her top slides down. It takes her a moment to realize what has happened. I'll see if I can find it for the next time.

Heigle has knock knees, I know she can't help it, but it drives me nuts. Especially on runway models that are modeling knee length apparel - WTF?

I also agree that Jennifer Connelly was far more beautiful pre-Oscar weight (as if she needed to lose any weight) She has lost her figure and thus her looks. It's so sad.
I hate that Hollywood has this ultra tiny standard for women. Most women look unhealthy and older at such undernourished weight. I blame Calista Flockhart for wanting to stand out in her ensemble cast. Look at the impact it had on actresses since then and it didn't benefit her career either. Go back to being a healthy weight. Hire taller, bigger actors! It's not impossible.
