Blind Item #1
This foreign born B+list mostly movie actor who also has starred on some very popular television shows is not exactly known for treating women well. He also happens to be having a fling with a mostly television actress who is a couple of years younger than the age of consent and is having a breakout year.

ReplyDeleteBella Thorne &...? I know she supposedly has boyfriend but compared him to exp. w/older mab, & she's in like 4 movies this year?? I don't know the teenage tv people.
ReplyDeleteA grown man can't have 'a fling' with a child a few years under the age of consent.
ReplyDeleteIf she's too young to legally consent then it's abuse, not a fling.
age of consent... is that 16 in cali?
ReplyDeleteso what 13-14 year old is having a break out year? and why are we not arresting the dude, the mom, questioning the girl, etc...?
Agree and Thank you, Its Just U ~ It's molestation...not "consent". That's why it's called 'UNDER AGE'.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone close to her cares enough to report it. It might save her years of misery, teach him a lesson and save it from happening to other young girls.
ReplyDeleteAll right, all you who are shouting that until midnight on the birthday of the age of consent, it's just abuse, please explain how and why female humans are more mature and mentally healthier in Nevada than California, Oregon, Idaho, New Mexico, or Arizona, the surrounding states.
ReplyDeleteYou can't. If you want to talk about abuse, trauma, mental health and consequences, you have to talk about individual girls/women on a case-by-case basis. If you want to talk about the law, you better know where on the map events have transpired.
But actually thinking about things and acknowledging that they're complicated is nowhere near as much fun as parading yourself around in the glory of your sanctimony, so the fact that you're full of shit isn't going to enter into it.
I remember discussing this type of thing once and one of the men said that there is nothing wrong with it because centuries ago the girls would marry at 12-13. so warped
ReplyDeleteYes and everyone was dead by 50.
DeleteI dunno.
ReplyDeleteDefense attorney here! It really bothers me that my clients (in Oregon) have to register as sex offenders for acts that if they were done just a couple of hundred miles away wouldn't even be a crime.
Our state can make pretty much whatever they want illegal and that's fine. But labeling someone as a sick, chimo pervert for something that is legal in areas of this country really, really bothers me!!!! (Though this guy sounds gross).
Just agreeing with whomever said it above. A high school senior with a freshman is a sex offender in this state. Unless you are a young senior. Then it's not even a crime. WTF? How is the kid any more victimized because her boyfriend is 3 years and ONE day older than her than she is if he is ONE day less than three years????
If we can pick the actress, we can determine whether or not her age makes this icky or abuse. And then take the appropriate action. Kiernan? Amandla?
ReplyDeleteI don't get this "abuse" thing. If Bella Thorne (for example) bangs her same age boyfriend and sucks the hell of his semen, it is OL. If she does the same to an older dude, it is a crime, therefore the crime is being old, because the act is not actually bad. Am I right?
ReplyDeleteUh, isn't it obvious that "age of consent" laws aren't really on the books to protect 17-year-olds but to protect 7-year-olds? Why is everyone being so disingenuous about this? Laws such as these need an arbitrary age, and in most civilized states it's 17 and under.
ReplyDeleteBut I suppose the people complaining here about the AoC are fans of "hotttt teens" videos and are miffed because they're illegal in most states. Too bad.
@Sandy: No matter the age of consent in a state or country, the age of 18 is required to document the sex or nudity.
ReplyDeleteEven foreign based websites keep 2257 information, or risk not being able to have payments processed by credit card companies.
Kermitgosnellknobjockey - Yes, you are right.
ReplyDeleteAt least as far as 14, 15, 16, & 17 year olds go.
In most states, either: the age of consent is LOWER than 18 OR kids that are high school age that are having sex with other high school age kids aren't committing any crimes.
However, like I said, in Oregon, it is a 3 year rule. So if you and your boyfriend are high school age and banging and within 3 years of each others age - no crime at all. All the sudden, if you switch partners or have the EXACT SAME SEX ACTS with a person that is three years and ONE day older than you - now a crime.
This guy sounds gross. He sounds like a predator or, at absolute bare minimum, a guy that takes advantage of young girls. But a 16 year old with a 19 year old boyfriend isn't necessarily being abused, is my point. And once you can see that that is not abuse - where do you draw the line? Yes, it has to be arbitrary, somewhat. But that means automatic labels shouldn't exist and everything should be view on a fact specific basis.
To everyone who wants mom or dad to do something, maybe mom and dad know and are as bad as PMK and allow it to happen, that doesnt surprise me in hollywood. it seems parents there are ok with underage sex if it will get their kid on screen, or more publicity, or a starring role etc.
ReplyDeleteAs a society we have to collectively decide what's okay and what isn't, and that means drawing arbitrary lines. So the age of consent line is drawn at whatever age we collectively pick - if it were a year younger (or older) the exact same debate would be had using those arbitrary lines. It has to be drawn somewhere.
ReplyDeleteWhether you think the of consent should be 12 or 20, we're all a product of social conditioning. It's just that I'm conditioned to thinking people (older) that want to fuck kids are repulsive predators with stunted emotional intelligence :)
Ah, but define "kids", Alita. Because as noted extensively in this thread, 17 is often still a kid but at 18 it's "Show us your tits!"
ReplyDeleteLet's say in this case the age of consent is 16. A few years younger is 13.
ReplyDeleteA man, with an established career and a reputation for past bad relationships, is over 18 (to legally be an adult anyway. Possibly older)
Any man over 18 should not be having sex with a kid of 13, maybe younger.
That's not a fling, that is abuse.
18 is the default age of consent, she's "a couple of years younger" which means two, not three. The girl's probably around 16. What 16 year old tv girl is having a big year?
ReplyDeleteBella Thorne, Maisie Williams, Kylie Jenner, Elle Fanning, Olivia Holt, Ariel Winter?
The guy is a foreign movie and tv star who has a bad reputation with women. Please don't let it be Ned Stark.
Everyone knows that there are 14 and 15 year old girls having sex with kids their own age - maybe they are precocious, curious, whatever.
ReplyDeleteMost aren't ready at 14, 15, 16 or 17. They are still in high school. They are supposed to be getting an education. I agree that situations need to be looked at on a case by case basis.
I think the laws are meant to protect the sexually innocent from being interfered with before they are emotionally ready to be able to handle the ups and downs of a relationship.
It really bothers me the way some guys treat age of majority as the point at which they can start hunting.
If a guy really cares about a girl, he will wait until she is ready.
@Malibu: I think Ariel has had the biggest year, as in her boobs have gotten HUGE. Either that or there is a hell of a lag between current season and syndication, cause I only see that show in syndication.
ReplyDelete@Leek: Just like size limit on fish. If you gonna require a psych eval on broads before the chastity belt comes off, we would have to resort to cloning.
benedict cumberbatch?
ReplyDeleteAriel Winter is publicly with someone over 18; it is why she left her mother and moved in with her sis.
ReplyDeleteSo probably not her.
If she is mature enough to date an adult, then she is mature enough for me to post a bikini pic. She is going to have back problems one day.
ReplyDeleteHolt? JRM?
ReplyDeleteI dunno.
How about that Quavanze girl who was an Oscar nominee last year and in Annie this year? That would be horrible. She's probably around 14
