Fluxing hell. I thought it was really going to be Ace of Base.
NOPE
It was like Faces of Death but with mimes. Two white girls sing an off key tale about their epic love for a mime to the tune of AoB's titular hit "I saw the Sign." Awkward white girl dancing Mime two times the ladies (it's probably for the best, girls)
It was visual and vocal butt garbage.
Only thing that could've saved it is if Death Eaters materialized, folded the mimes into a pizza, and ate them.
I did not, Wigs, I swear. In between commenting multiple times per post and taking endless selfies, there just isn't the time.
HowEVER, it is a Book Club week, I am thinking about throwing up a Sunday Night Social post as well as Fight Club and Gone Girl, for those of us that don't want to finish the book and just wanna talk shite and drink. What do you guys think??
Be careful, @BeckyMae - I like books too, but bookclub ends up being at like 10am Monday morning or something.
If your drinking and talking shite then, well it's going to make me feel inadequate as a CDaN gossip friend. Like I wouldn't put the hard yards in. That I felt there was, in fact, an 'I' in team. All sorts of platitudes.
Nope. Not going to ruin memories of a great drunken weekend in New Orleans in October 1993. We need an auto delete button to make this one disappear permanently...
I've already sent Count the video to determine if it is SFW and get his approval. Lets just say I think the answer to those questions are a great big NO ; )
doh--Sorry Kristin did not mean to ignore your question. It is from the Canadian 1984 classic Mimi on the Beach by Jane Sibery. Look it up on YouTube if you have the chance. You might just find your new jam ; ) **Something is telling me Basil knows it well hehe** and of course there is a little Mariah influence in my video--like everything I do in life...
6:30 Mountain, Reno, for example, an hour ahead of Enty-time. All the posts will go up at the same time, glad you're finally getting to join in this time! Woot!
The Beat as in legendary ska band?? I love them! Dead jelz...I'll be across the road at the cinemas watching Godzilla with my primary gays....how funny! I'm an Inner Westy...
Yeah re The Beat! Brilliantly dropped in my lap! It should be a really fun gig, loads of dancing. If you're going to be over the road, I'll be kinder than usual to random strangers, just in case it's you ;)
Ohhhh the Sando! It's around the corner from me and they just opened the band room at Newtown Social, it looks great! I'm happy that they kept it a music venue... Saw the. Specials a few years ago at the Enmore and it was the best! Gotta love a bit of a skank every now and then...if you love ska check out Melbourne Ska Orchestra they are brilliant too *music rant over*
I'll try and find a white carnation to wear in case you spot me :)
@K---haha a piece of Canadiana history. Maybe it helps explain TTM, myself and other Canadians a little clearer lol
@Becky--I watched a film called Superstar--a really cheesy 80s musical. and than a film called Angel at my Table and I pvrd one called Sweetie. Those may be New Zealand though...
I'll volunteer as tribute since I have penance to do.
ReplyDeleteWe thank you for your sacrifice, Kristin. May your god be with you.

You're the best, Wigs. I couldn't get past the whole counting beats on their fingers and the offkey bit.
DeleteSo weird because I was just thinking of The Sign yesterday, what are the odds????
TTM did you send this video in?
DeleteI did not, Wigs, I swear. In between commenting multiple times per post and taking endless selfies, there just isn't the time.

Drink and talk shite? Please.
DeleteTotally gonna have Fight Club playing in the background too. Good times!
DeleteAnd she'll be gone tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteI won't be able to finish the book or movie by Sunday, but I'm always looking to talk shite and drink.
ReplyDelete@TTM I'd be up for a Social Club post fo shizzle!
ReplyDeleteWoot, Becky!

Yay, Alita! I'm always happy when you are around real time!
Delete@Charlie will you bring risotto or some other tasty snacks??
ReplyDeleteActually a mime would be a great improvement over some of the guys I have dated. At least I could avoid loud mouths. Silence can be golden...
ReplyDeleteUm...
DeleteEhehehe...
DeleteUNLESS it is from TTM than it is Armageddon ; )
ReplyDeleteThat would be one of the seven signs of the apocalypse, wouldn't it?
DeleteNope. Not going to ruin memories of a great drunken weekend in New Orleans in October 1993. We need an auto delete button to make this one disappear permanently...
ReplyDeleteOh great. Now with all the posts Enty thinks his choice of videos is awesome and it's not!

ReplyDeleteDEREK PLEASE DO IT
ReplyDeleteWell if the deal with Vivid is a bust then it may get leaked through my favorite entertainment lawyer...
ReplyDeleteWait, Derek. Is the erotic dancing to a Mimi song or a Mimi video ala My All?
ReplyDeleteI hope it looks like this!
ReplyDeletehmmm--a little....But MUCH more erotic and more tennis rackets

ReplyDeleteBecky, same city, northside. In town tonight ... friend just hit me up for chaperoning her to see The Beat @Metro. Free tix ftw!
Thanks TTM. Me too!
