Fault In Our Stars Breaks Box Office Record

The movie Fault In Our Stars has not even opened yet, but it already holds one box office record. According to Fandango, the movie has become the number one biggest pre-selling romantic drama in the service's history. This doesn't mean the movie will be super huge because the previous record holders include The Vow, Safe Haven and Dear John. It is a nice little publicity boost though because now everyone will write a little piece about the record and people who were on the fence about going or didn't know about the movie might end up seeing it. The Vow did open to $41M in its first weekend. One thing Fandango made clear though is that the Twilight franchise is not included in the romantic drama category. Aren't you glad they aren't making any more of those movies? Well, not for awhile anyway. They will end up making some based on scripts rather than the books. Fandango says Twilight is classified as a fantasy romance. That category sounds like something Lindsay Lohan charges extra for.
