Today's Blind Items - The Dating Intervention
Most families get together to do an intervention when someone is addicted to drugs or booze or gambling and try and get them some help. This family though had a very unique intervention last year when it came to dating. It is not that they are opposed to this family member dating, but it was who the family member wanted to date. Apparently she met a black guy and went out with him a few times as friends to the movies. Well, when this former A list mostly television actor turned indie B list mostly movie actor/conservative speaker found out what was going on, he flipped. This acting family has very strong beliefs and one of them is there should never be interracial marriage. One day I hope one of their kids comes out to them and also says they are marrying out of their race. Now that is reality television. Somehow during the intervention they came up with some kind of logic to convince the family member that it was wrong and that somehow God said it was wrong and then our actor got another family member on the phone who is even more famous and she added more arguments and was equally distressed at the thought of a family member dating outside their race. It got even worse. I know you think it can't but it did because they brought in people from their church to tell some stories they said were about their life but were really just a way to bring out every stereotype they could think of. The kids in this family are so brainwashed I don't know how they will be able to survive in the real world.
Kirk Camerom? WTH
ReplyDeleteBaldwin and daughter

ReplyDeleteHailey
DeleteBut Ireland was dating a black woman...
ReplyDeleteI know..Alex fits rating but isn't a speaker...Billy is tho rating off hmm
DeleteAh ok Tricia I can see that fitting
ReplyDeleteThis was already reported but I can't remember who it was. Dang it. I'll see if I can find it, this is not a blind it just wasn't heavily covered by knee pads.
ReplyDeleteOne of Kelsey Grammar's daughters?
ReplyDeleteSorry Billy Baldwin daughter Jameson
ReplyDeleteI think the Baldwins work for this. Maybe Ireland is dating the black girl to ram it up somebodys belligerant ass?
ReplyDeleteBilly Baldwin
ReplyDelete@Tricia---dammit
ReplyDeleteYeah, my first thought was Kirk, but I don't think Candace would be considered "even more famous," despite DWTS.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like Kirk Cameron ("indie" movie meaning his low-budget propaganda films) and the more famous family member is Candice Cameron Bure (now more famous because of DWTS).
ReplyDeleteAlso, with Full House reruns on all the time and Bure's controversial book, DWTS stint, and role on one of those ABC Family shows as well as the Hallmark/Lifetime fare I think she's the more famous Cameron now.
ReplyDelete@Tara Also the Bure's are allegedly Russian mafia and are also very religious. Don't fuck with a Bure. If it's the Cameron's they should have just put Uncle Pavel on the phone, not Candace.
DeleteAlec has designs to be a politician Tricia which given his background is kinda hilarious
ReplyDeleteSandy why is that hilarious? John mccain has famous short fuse, as does his brother, and hes in polictics. Not that i gv a crap if he runs for office or not, just saying short fuse wouldnt count him out.
DeleteBut what female Baldwin relative is more famous than any of the brothers? (Not sarcasm at all, just wondering if I missed someone). The second person is female and more famous than the male.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to who the girl is--because the blind only says that she's in the family and never that she's someone's daughter or sister or niece, etc.
ReplyDeleteWhat century is this?!
ReplyDeleteNo I know...he does and has wanted to run for office...
ReplyDeleteBut I think this is billy cuz he preaches (so does Stephen) but Steve didn't do a list tv
Billy had a couple hit shows even gossip girl (don't throw up..I know I know)
@ Derek....close baby!!!
I agree with Kirk Cameron actually
ReplyDelete@Riven, I was wodering that, too! Who is the more famous female Baldwin??
ReplyDeleteBaldwin Bros, and Alec the more famous one called.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't state when this happened, so maybe before Ireland & the chick she's pretending to be with for attention.
@Tricia---haha I love Gossip Girl and forgot he was on it---but he did movies first right? I remember he was in Silver or Sliver (?) lol with Sharon Stone--he played a creepy guy---he was HOT
ReplyDelete@ riven...only one I can think of is Billy's mother in law/ Jameson's grandma michelle Phillips
ReplyDeleteMichelle would never buy into any of that bulls*it. No way is it her.
DeleteI agree with the Kirk Cameron guess. Can't think of who the more famous female family member would be if it was the Baldwins.
ReplyDelete@ Derek..yes he was..backdraft too!!
ReplyDeleteHe moved to tv now back in indies.....but dunno..it's a nutso blind anyhew cuz who does this!!!
Or her auntie Kim basinger
ReplyDeleteKim Basinger is more famous than Stephan and Billy
ReplyDeleteExactly
ReplyDeleteSo it be billy/Jameson/ Kim basinger(Alec dialing of course lol)
ReplyDeleteHilarious crying in the childs position(yoga)
Here's the problem with the Baldwins - none of them started as A lost television and then became B list indie. Plus Hilaria is of Spanish descent - so doesn't that nullify the keeping the Irish blood pure thing?
ReplyDeleteOr Michele Phillips whose a legend..mamas &papas California Dreamin
ReplyDeleteNo way is it Michelle.
DeleteWell it's not the Baldwin' s, unless it's Stephen ...who was never A-list anything. Alec is NOT a conservative, more like the opposite. This screams Kirk Cameron.
ReplyDeleteIf this is Kirk Cameron, I wonder if he tells his adopted, mixed race children that they can only date within their own races, too.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Not kirk cameron.
DeleteKirk Cameron.
ReplyDeleteWe know it ain't a Kardashian
ReplyDeleteBBC makes the white bims crazy. More addictive to them than cocaine. Once they get the taste, they keep chasing the high.
ReplyDeleteFamily is assholes. Let the bim embrace her addiction.
JMProductions has a documentary on white bims w/ BBC addiction. Here is the box cover. (Edited to be SFW)
ReplyDeleteAvailable for purchase here: DVD Store
If the Baldwin Family were having an intervention with one of their own, I highly doubt they'd call on Kim Basinger for back-up. Given their ugly divorce, Kim probably doesn't give a flying fuck what that family does/says/thinks.
ReplyDeleteRumor Willis is dating a black guy now. Bruce Willis is a former A List TV actor but I don't think he is a B list movie actor and I don't thnk Demi Moore is more famous than him (I also don't think they would have a real problem with interracial dating.) There are a lot of conservative actors but I cannot think of any who have more famous spouses. I would have to say Baldwins or Willis children just because of the people involved and the fact that both have daughters who have dated outside their race.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Idont think its the willis' bruce dated a couple black women when he was younger and single
DeleteAs much as I don't agree with Candace's religion, I really don't see her being that way.
ReplyDeleteTo add on the "Not It" pile:
ReplyDeleteCasper Van Dien is pretty religious too and has interesting family connections. But he wasn't ever A list tv and Princess of Yugoslavia (his grandma in law) would not stand for this ish.
One of the Baldwin brothers is married to a black woman. You guys need to pay some attention.
ReplyDeleteEric & Julia & Emma
ReplyDeleteI thought Alec Baldwin is big time left wing
ReplyDeleteI also thinking Emma, Eric & aunt Julia. I think Emma's been with Evan Peters to long for this to fit thou?
ReplyDeleteNot the Roberts family -- Eric is not and has never been a conservative speaker.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe Chynna Phillips or Michelle Phillips would be involved with any racist type thing.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI only know about Kirk Cameron from this site, so I have no insights to add. Just wanted to say that I think this is shameful and (ironically) very un-Christian.
ReplyDeleteOkay, my comment made no sense, so I am trying again.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the Kirk Cameron guesses. Billy Baldwin is not conservative and I have to agree with Jon that I don't think Chynna or Michelle Phillips would participate in such an intervention.
I think this is Kirk, with Candance being the person the on the phone. Don't know who the person the intervention was held for though.
Could this Enty think Adam Baldwin is a Baldwin brother? (Re "conservative speaker" )
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I think it's got to be Camerons.
Kirk Cameron is a religious nutjob.
ReplyDelete"Amen to that!" says me, the atheist.
DeleteKirk Cameron has adopted mixed race children. How does this reconcile with opposition to interracial marriage?
ReplyDelete@aimless, the kids he adopted are probably also the product of pre-marital sex, which he's opposed to as well. So it could be that he thinks he rescued the innocent products of someone else's mistakes. Anyway, he definitely fits better than the Baldwin family.
DeleteKirk Cameron. He probably uses that BS flawed argument that starts, "I have nothing against blacks/gays/whoever I actually have something against! In fact, my best friend (or in his case "kid") is blah, blah, blah!" And then proceeds with, "I just think..." to justify why his white kids should only date whites.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOh, please, as if Kim Basinger would bother counselling anyone from the Bladwin clan, and as much as I cannot stand Alec Baldwin, a racist he is not.
ReplyDeleteI think neither Cameron nor Baldwin fit well enough. We need to keep looking.
ReplyDeleteAny Mormon acting families fit this profile, by the way? You'll hear little in the way of looney toons racial thinking that matches Mormon looney toons thinking on race.
Kim was with Prince for quite awhile, she's definitely not against interracial dating.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who was once on the receiving end of a "Christian intervention", let me tell you, there is not much worse in this world.
ReplyDeleteBrenda sorry about that, but if nit too painful, tell us more.
DeleteBeen there as well. My dad... The rest of his family has always been ok. Just. Yeah good ole dad. For starts did you know that to some dying your hair is witch craft...
DeleteMichelle Phillips would nevah!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I don't think anyone has gotten it right yet. What about Donnie Walburg? Does he have kids?
Yeah, in fact anyone stupid enough to call her and ask her to say such a thing would get an earful they'd never forget! Heeeeeheeeeeheeeeee just thinking about it! :)
DeleteKirk Cameron's family was on a flight from buffalo to Atlanta a few weeks ago no one gave him the celeb treatment It appeared he had a son dating she but the other kids appeared younger. And I didn't think they were biracial. Just sayin
ReplyDeleteThat should read "son that's dating age" oooops
DeleteIf you read thus blind, its hard to believe this happened inTWENTY FUCKING FOURTEEN!!!!!!!!!! Join us in 21st century, dumbasses.
ReplyDeleteWhoever this is needs to retread their Bible, specifically the Song of Solomon. Solomon sure didn't write that to an Aryan Nation chick!
ReplyDeleteLol that is funny and true. Its sad how some religious people and groups twist the bible to suit their unchristianlike agendas. Ku klux klan loves throwing about how their beliefs are founded on christian values. Very sad because it is the antithesis of what defines christianity.
Delete"Retread." Here hee hee. :-) normally I say "damn you Autocorrect" but in this case it kinda makes sense.
ReplyDelete@Aunt Liddy....I was going through hard times and feeling despondent, and the gang shows up unannounced at my doorstep to let me know the Lord was there to take all my troubles away.
ReplyDeleteIt helped soooooo much. Not.
@Eros: I figure he tapped the back up singers when he was doing The Return of Bruno
ReplyDeleteLol had no idea he sang. Loved watching reruns of him in that detective show... can't remember the name of it though. He was such a hottie patottie whenhe was younger. Looked better with hair.
DeleteHow about Clint Eastwood? He has several kids who are supposedly actors. And he "spoke" at Romney'$ nomination convention.
ReplyDeleteKirk Cameron and Candace Cameron Bure.
ReplyDeleteThe Camerons just dont roll like that with the racist stuff...their kids are mixed race, and as long as their kids marry christians and live heterosexual lives, regardless of orientation, they are going to be fine. An intervention for homosexuality, BIG TIME, but not for race. this is Willis...he started in TV on Moonlighting...and Demi is more famous, though not nec more talented.
ReplyDeleteI thought of Kirk C too but was he really B list indie actor? I would have thought C or D. Here's a list of Hollywood conservatives
ReplyDeleteoh no not a list of Hollywood conservatives...
ReplyDeletelet the bashing begin
:(
please don't assume you know that all/most conservatives are racist
it is untrue
I'm with @Aimless... I don't think it's Cameron or the Baldwins! Keep searching, y'all, and spill it :)
ReplyDeleteI work in Hollywood, it's surprising that in such a creative field (entertainment) that racism is right there. Sometimes in your face or thinly veiled underneath the surface!
I agree @rajahcat... conservative does not equal racist.
UGH! Racism/bigotry/hate makes me angry!!!! I gotta go back to trolling. I need a pick me up!
@rajahcat @Yeoman....100% correct IMO....conservatism is an approach to life based on a mentality concerning fiscal, moral, intellectual, religious, and other issues not inclusive if racism...at all. To categorically suggest they are the same is...unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is Kirk, I did think it Stephen or billy baldwin(who publicly attempts to sound liberal) but whose wives last album was a born again Christian effort..
But maybe...the answer still out there, probably behind the closed doors of a seemingly "tolerant PC " phony household.
Welcome to Hollywood
Welcome to 2014. All conservatives are not religious or stupid, all liberals are not automatically tolerant of race or culture and well educated. There are no more hard and fast rules.
ReplyDeleteThis family is massively fucked up and their politics or religion probably have very little to do with it. I wouldn't want my daughter dating Chris Brown or Justin Bieber. I don't care about color but the culture these two belong to. Druggies, mysoginists and abusers of women. Not with my daughter. Her daddy may be a retired Marine Gunny but if they get through him, then comes the really tough one, Me.
Sean Astin/ daughter Alexandra/ call to mom Patty Duke
ReplyDeletehttp://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/05/12/sean-astin-im-not-afraid-to-make-christian-films/
ReplyDeleteLet’s do a little mental exercise here and imagine Sean Astin criticizing anti-racists, for example, wondering why they “dismiss the feelings that millions of [white supremacists] have. ” Most people would be outraged and cry racism if that were the case. That is because it not only would be racism but because decent people know that racism is wrong and harmful and that there is no acceptable amount of racism. Such people would not think that we somehow owed it to racists to remain polite and respect their racism and their (harmful) feelings and assertions born out of racism.
ReplyDeleteYet religion and its followers get all sorts of leeway and passes even though religion is just as harmful to people as something like racism.
This is religious supremacy and it happens all the time: religion and its followers, despite harmful actions, directives and messages, are not viewed as harmful and detrimental – instead, they are sympathized with as these unjustly judged people who have feelings they do not want to see bruised and questioned, even if those “feelings” cause real harm.
Again, if Sean Astin understood that religion was harmful (just as racism is harmful), he would not be defending the feelings of its followers In fact, I doubt he would even consider their feelings worth defending because there is no virtue in defending harm.
Just putting out out article on Astin..don't know why he popped in my head...and alas
ReplyDeleteI don't know who it is (sounds like a Cameron or Billy Baldwin, but could very well be someone else), but they are seriously in a bad way mentally.
ReplyDeleteNow, if it was a conservative politician's family...well, open the missiles and fire away! :D
Other than Stephen I don't think most Baldwins are religious or Conservative. I think Chyna did some Christian album do not sure about Billy but this is not Alec's style at all. I was on board the Cameron train it fits perfectly but I do think having mixed race children would deter you from this way of thinking. What scares me is there are bigger lunatics out there than Kirk and Stephen and I don't know who they are. Off to google.
ReplyDeleteNah all the usual suspects. If Chuck Norris has famous relatives we could have a winner but I doubt it. Cavizel is listed as having done tv but I don't think the one Wonder Years episode cuts it. Anyone from SNL maybe?
ReplyDeleteOnly problem with the Sean Astin guess is politics - he's supported all Democrats in the past (even serving as campaign manager for a friend who was running for Congress as a Democrat in California.
ReplyDelete@Russell point taken..but that's just it...conservative speaker..not necessarily having to do with his political bent..father his faith.
ReplyDeleteAston does have forums wherenhebspeaks about Christianity
And public vox(his political beliefs)
But the guy in blind isn't mutually exclusive...I read it as is faith based conservative, dosent mean hebcant be a democrat
I feel like this should be easy but it's not.
ReplyDeleteAnyway this family should break bread with the rapper/actor Common. He wrote a song about how black men are ''lessening" black women if they date white women.
Funny thing is now on that western he's on they have him hooked up with a white girl LOL.
It is an acting family
ReplyDeletehttp://www.seanastin.com/bio/
the more famous would be his mother Patty Duke
the dating age daughter would be Ali Astin,
and the assumptions that party affiliation does with religious and racial attitudes is a poor assumption. I can't find any pap pictures going with the story, but she's a low fame actress at this time.
This isn't the kind of thing usually advertised, unless you part of the Bob Jones (University fame) family.
JFK is a great example of a religious democrat..his left lean had nothing to do with his approach to his relii, or his biases(we don't know cuz we really didn't know..him did we)
ReplyDeleteI thought the interview Aston gave about being pro white supremacy was sort of...comelling in relation to the blind
So @aimless are you agreeing with my Aston guess? I can't tell lol
ReplyDelete*astin
ReplyDelete@Tricia The only good example JFK makes is that he came from a majorly fucked up family. Yes, I grew up in Massachusetts and it was sacrilege to question the Kennedy's but they were all horrible people. JFK almost got us in a nuclear war for Christ's sake, he was a drug addict and fucked anything with female genitalia. Teddy murdered Mary Jo Kopechne.
ReplyDeleteI dont disagree.. I'm actually not a Kennedy fan. Not my political leaning and I think many people (American s) have a revisionist and idealistic telethon on his presidency..
ReplyDeleteBut that wasn't my point...point was ge was a devout csthot and a democrat st the Sandy time..tbeybare not mutually exclusive...so my guess of Sean astin and mom party duke could work...because while he's Christian..he has lobbied for democratic candidates
*take

ReplyDeleteI figured that out, Tricia. I'm just super cranky pants today and needed to vent about something. My old man kitty, Monkey pissed on me this morning, every other animal including hubby is working my very last nerve and the beer is warm. Just one of those days.
ReplyDeleteParty Duke is bipolar and found out later in life. Don't know if Sean has issues with her or not.

Too tired for aurocorrect Sorry guys
ReplyDeleteBottom line is my guess of set astin works because he's from acting legacies,, is intensely religious, has a daughter 15 or so, an impressive resume starting vwith TV going into Indy film..is close enough to mom party(_much more famous) to call...and gave interview s(see above) about bringer anti..anti racists(which is a supremacy and the gist of the blind)
Signin iffy..nite
@ Jen..I hear us ..me too...and auto correct makes me mental!no energy for it..I hope you find a colder beer and a nice nites sleep:)
ReplyDeleteYou too! And may tomorrow be better than today.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking this is the Duff's. I think people are making it more complicated than it is.
ReplyDeleteDoes Michael j fox have a daughter? ?
ReplyDeleteHe has twin daughters that are 19.
DeleteHe is very politically active with Parkinson research and stem cell research and is always giving political speeches and talking before Congress.
Delete@Jennmcn, ur kinda harsh there girl- & I suggest that you research the Bay Of Pigs Situation from all sides now that the classified files have been released(doctored as they are)in short,I respectfully disagree w/your simple synopsis.
ReplyDeleteAlec Baldwin is not a racist? So he can throw out racist and homophobic insults on several occasions and he is not a racist but Mel Gibson is. I don't quite understand the double standard here?
ReplyDeleteOr wait Alec has Tourettes right or paparazzi don't count?
@Tina: I think Alec has blood pressure and anger management issues. Saying something inappropriate in the heat of the moment doesn't make someone racist. If he was not working with certain people, or not hiring certain people, or spewing racist/anti gay rhetoric in interviews I would think differently about him.
ReplyDelete
