This still young foreign born B list singer is just a one hit wonder so far so her record label wants her to work with this A list rapper. So far she is resisting because she doesn't like the guy but her label is probably going to force her to collaborate with him.

ReplyDeleteLorde is definitely a one hit wonder. Unless you bought her cd the only song you have heard is Royals (which has a distinctive sound.) She is very limited and really needs to do something other than be bff's with Taylor Swift. Working with some rapper is probably the best way for her career to have a little legs which is why she is now covering one of Kanye's songs. Look for more of this. In ten years she will be a distant memory associated with that royals song.

ReplyDeleteEminem is on Interscope with Pia Mia/Lana del Rey/Carly Rae, as is Kendrick Lamar. Carly had one hit, Lana has basically one hit that goes on radio stations, and I don't know Pia Mia's song. Lorde has at least two songs I've heard on the radio.
