What B list celebrity who keeps trying her hand at television, but fails miserably except with some specials and one night a year has made some really big enemies with her overly aggressive push to replace this icon. She says it is just business and wants to be first in line. Too much too soon.
Kathy griffin fashion police
ReplyDeleteOooooh
DeleteYep!
DeleteMenounos and
ReplyDeleteOh, good call derek.
ReplyDeleteKathy griffin / joan rivers
ReplyDeleteKathy's My Life on the Dlist was great and popular, wasn't it? Plus News Radio was successful and wasn't she on that? Goid guess though. I do think it's someone trying to replace Joan Rivers I just don't think it's Kathy. Maybe Whitney Cummings?
ReplyDeleteThe specials could be the Comedy Central Roasts. Unsure of what the once a year thing could be.
DeleteKathy was on Suddenly Susan. Vicki Lewis was on NewsRadio.
DeleteOne thing a yr is NYE with Anderson Cooper.
DeleteDamn it! You're right! Those 2 are probably tired of people confusing them with each other. Or they would be if anyone still knows who Vickie Lewis is.
DeleteKathy has 4 specials a year but otherwise it sounds like her or Cummings. I'd rather it not be Kathy though cause I love her.
ReplyDeletethank you thank you
ReplyDeleteI agree Sugar but that was years ago and she had a couple of attempts lately that didn't pan out---plus the one time a year---New Years with Anderson Cooper--she was really good friends with Joan--I am personally not a huge fan but Joan would agree the show must go on ---and I miss fashion police---but get rid of Kelly while they are mixing things up!
@Derek good guess. Kathy makes sense with her comedy specials that always bring in the high ratings & the one night a year being New Years Eve w/ Anderson Cooper. I can see her trying to go after Joan's spot on Fashion Police.
ReplyDeleteI love Kathy and I absolutely adore her drunk mama!
ReplyDeleteWow. Kathy is a great guess!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Kelly Osbourne.
ReplyDeleteOr Jenny McCarthy.
ReplyDelete@Vera Christina, I actually shuddered at the suggestion of Jenny McCarthy on Fashion Police. Thanks, ya stinker!
Deletei like the KGriffin guess.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this sounds like Kathy, but I would hardly say she fails miserably. She has a pretty solid fan base, her show won an Emmy and she's friends with Cher for god's sake.
ReplyDeleteTeam Cher
ReplyDeleteVicki Lewis was on News Radio. They get mixed up all the time.
ReplyDeletePersonally I'd live to see Vicky Lewis in something again. She was pretty awesome and like Kathy lite, 2/3 less irritating.
DeleteKathy does NYE with Anderson cooper
ReplyDeleteKathy's one night a year is her from the clue is here New Years Eve gig with Anderson Cooper. It usually gets a lot of press and promo because she tries to blow him or does some other outrageous stuff every year.
ReplyDeleteWhile Kathy may have the snark, she does not have the fashion sense Joan had. They need someone with both.
ReplyDeleteMy vote would be to go in a totally different direction and get Tom and Lorenzo. They have the snark and fashion sense.
You are correct! Although I remember Kathy doing some red carpet event hosting (? Or am I crazy?), someone smart with their own personal style is a better fit.
Delete@Dixie, having ne we seen Tom and Lorenzo I can't be sure, but I hope the gig goes to a comic, and a woman.
DeleteI think there are enough men in the industry telling women what to wear and judging their looks. I'm sick of it.
*never, not ne we. Bloody phone...
DeleteI don't think there is anything wrong to do what she did. It's smart. It's the most successful non-reality show on E!and reels in a ton of advertising. Kathy would be great on it BUT wasn't she is some sort of feud with Ryan Seacrest? He would never sign off on it. I absolutely hate Whitney Cummings and hope she doesn't get the gig.
ReplyDeleteVicki Lewis is working almost constantly, her imdb is actually pretty impressive. She was in Finding Nemo and is back for part 2
ReplyDeleteShe also dumped Nick Nolte and married someone else in '08
Life on the D-List was pretty popular, though, so if this is KG, then Enty's description of her is way fuckin off. As usual.
ReplyDeleteThis ran this morning, Kathy Griffin depressed about late night
ReplyDeleteKathy already has a disturbing amount of plastic surgery. Problem is she isn't remotely endearing.
ReplyDeleteKathy is probably the only one who could try to replace Joan and they were good friends and Joan would probably be the first one to say go for it honey because when you are a woman in this business you have to fight for everything. Unfortunately Melissa R may not see it that way and she is one of the producers right?
ReplyDeleteI'd watch her on Fashion Police if they only ran after award shows. Weekly?
ReplyDeleteMight be too much Kathy.
Above poster is right, kathy doesnt hv the fashion sense, altho she is hilarious. And as for going hard for the job, believe me, Joan would approve and understand! Having said all that, i mever watched fashion ploce ir whatever anyway, lol
ReplyDeleteAm I the only person on this planet that doesn't like Kathy Griffin? She really annoys me, and frankly isn't really all that funny--no matter how hard she tries.
ReplyDeleteAudrey, I love her for being innovative, but I do get annoyed too sometimes. I think she's so smart that being annoying is part of the schtick she's using for her audience right now and she's smart enough and knows comedy so well that she would know what to tone down and alter for a different audience. The fact that she's friends with Cher and Joan Rivers tells me that she's a smart lady.
ReplyDeleteI can't help it, it cracks me up when Kathy makes Anderson Cooper blush.
ReplyDelete"If you think this is the part where I'm gonna apologize for trying to go down on Anderson Cooper, you are sorely mistaken," the Grammy nominee replied. "I tried, ladies and gays. I tried for you."
And Derek got it.
Remembering Joan Rivers: Kathy Griffin shares her memories
I watched Fashion Police once and once was enough! I loved Joan, but the other three...eeesh. Kelly was obnoxious, Giuliana was dull and George's fake laugh shredded my nerves. None of those three are qualified to critique anyone's outfit.
ReplyDeleteThere are some fabulously bitchy people working in fashion, why not give them a shot at the show.
WWJD? Joan would pick Kathy and have no problem with the early lobbying for the job. Will Melissa still produce? Does she have rights to the show or is it all the network's.
ReplyDeleteLife on the Dlist was pretty good
ReplyDeleteKathy would make a great replacement IMHO
I'd like to see EJ Johnson on Fashion Police
He is FIERCE
Joan would have done the same thing, no shame in those broads game. They need to lose jelly o too..
ReplyDeleteJenny McCarthy
ReplyDeleteOh Derek I hope you're right.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see that witch's "career" end--she's nothing but a bully.
I love Kathy Griffin and I think she would be a natural to add to the show. Personally I don't see how Kelly O. Is qualified to judge fashion. Gulianna either. Just because you have been on the red carpet doesn't make you an expert on anything. Just look at some of Kelly's outfits & hairstyles. Dump the rest of the crew and get a new panel.
ReplyDeleteGawd, I hope it's not Jenny McCarthy. I think Kathy would be great, and whomever said that Joan would have done the same thing, totally agree.
ReplyDeleteKathy has already commented on this and says not her as that was always Joan's gig
ReplyDeleteJenny McCarthy?! Oh hell no!!!
ReplyDeleteI also wonder if Melissa Rivers will continue to produce and if she does how the transition will be handled.
Just no McCarthy. UGH!!!
Whoever this is Joan would probably say "Why don't you just dig me up and take my jewellery too!!! Just kidding... GET THE MONEY, HONEY!!"
ReplyDeleteCan't be Kathy. She's been successful on TV, and her and Joan were reportedly very close.
ReplyDeleteMark my words, they will give it to Khloe Kardashian. What was the fight with Chelsea and Joan? She was on her no funeral list.
ReplyDeleteIf they give this to one of the Trashians I will never watch FP again.
