Henry Thomas /ET
HHenry Thomas ET?? :(
Damnit
My first thought exactly!
Henry will be in an upcoming mini series on History Channel. And he's been working pretty steady over the years.
That clip of Henry's audition for ET is the best audition ever.
Henry has a very active IMDB page. And his wife is German, dont know if that makes any difference, but still.
Maybe one of the kids from The Neverending Story
Any 90's movie that gets remade. Cant believe I know what you did last summer is getting a remake
ET'henry always. Works
I dont want it to be him somebody get a better answer! :(
Barret Oliver...He stopped working in 1989.
Henry has been divorced for 7 years and was in Betrayal on ABC just last year.
Scientology got him.
Henry still shows up sometimes & IMDB is active.
Not Barrett Oliver, he's a photographer and his work is featured in shows around the world. I know this because I covet his book, A History of the Woodburytype, which is on sale at Amazon for $2k.
Barret was at one time a member of SeaOrg (Where's Shelly?) and married a fellow Sci but they divorced when he was a teenager. I cannot find if he ever remarried.
When someone says "you must be a completely different person in order to be with me", expect nothing good.
If not ET, other greats.... Goonies?
This doesn't seem like it should be so hard to figure out but I am stumped!
Jason James Ritcher---Free Willy
Damn Wrong Thread,
The free Willy kid still works, look like he took time off in early 2000's.
Were the special effects bad?
@Shelly---yeah almost 10 years off---and has just started working last year---terrorism doesn't pay for itself! I still bet it is him.
Here are IMDB's top films for the Family genre: http://www.imdb.com/genre/family?ref_=chttp_gnr_9
Eliminated:
Henry Thomas/ET
Barret Oliver/Neverending Story
Jason James Richter/Free Willy
Peter Billingsley/Ralphie-Christmas Story (he's produces and directs for Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau)
I'm wondering if the movie happened in the 70s. Almost all of the 80s kids can be eliminated.
With bad special effects, I was thinking "Clash of the Titans," but that would mean Harry Hamlin and we know it isn't him.
the original still totally holds up.
Would the kid from Time Bandits work?
Oh I love that movie Time Bandits!!! Mother, Father, don't touch that. It's Evil!!!
Good guess, but according to IMDB, his last film was when he was 14.
What about the Puggdley from Adams Family?
Jimmy Workman
Jimmy is the older brother of Ariel Winter from Modern Family and he tried to get custody of her in the past year or two.
I don't think he's married though.
Im pulling this out of my ass, but what about that kid from Puff the Magic Dragon? Or was it just me that was obsessed with that show as a kid?
Never mind forgot he was part of the Ariel Winter stuff.
Noah Hathaway from Neverending Story
Hathaway is still working I think.
This is a great blind. Someone doing something illegal besides raping or abusing others.
What Adam Rich from 8 Is Enough? Didn't he do a film or two?
Justin Henry. Although I can't match up terrible special effects with Kramer v Kramer.
Henry Thomas works and let's be honest, the E.T. special effecst are not horrible, far from it actually.
I think @Jennifer may be on something with the 70's movies idea.
@Violet, I was trying to make Justin Henry work too. I looked through all of the Young Hollywood Award winners but couldn't make any of them work.
Peter Ostrum from Willy Wonka was only in 1 movie and is now a big time vet so I think we can eliminate him as well.

That is the one of the problems with Islam. Once you are in you're in. The penalty for leaving Islam is death and in particular if you convert to Christianity. It certainly was historically - not sure where the different Muslim countries and Sharia legal systems stand on this currently but I do know many countries it is still in place.
Now objectively speaking if you are creating a new religion as Mohammad did about 1000 years ago and you want to retain membership nothing like a death penalty to keep members engaged and motivated.
Clever strategy of the jihadists, send women to recruit empty headed infidel actors.
What about that kid from Close Encounters of the Third Kind? IMDB says he's a financial planner now...
IDK I still think its barret oliver...check out this beard (don't know how to make clicky)
http://screencrush.com/neverending-story-then-and-now/
Read henry yhomas's bio. Zero kn there to indicate its him. Says wife, and he's been divorced since2006. Also has worked steadily in music and film. What about thie jake kid from 2 and a half men?
What about Chunk (Jeff Cohen)? He's now a high profile attorney so it would be easy for him to launder money and he would have room to house people and at one time he was accused of being Enty, so why not accuse him of this! I just can't find anything about a wife.
There was that cult who was known for having their female members do "Flirty Fishing".
Angus t young's a nutcase Christian so he's out.
How 'bout the kid from Pete's Dragon? It's tough to find movies where the kid is the actual lead.
Pete's Dragon?
How dare anyone say ET had bad effects.
Boozie, I'm trying to find evidence he left Sci for Islam. I think it could be him as well. The blind says he's no longer an actor, it doesn't say he's a hermit. Or this could be a bull blind because today's Entern wanted to make a blind about a hot topic.
Sean Marshall (Pete's Dragon) was 15 when he filmed his last movie. If this is him, my mind is blown. He's a US Naval Reservist as well as a Merchant Marine.
"There was that cult who was known for having their female members do 'Flirty Fishing'."
Those are the Children of God, i.e. the cult the Phoenix family were in. They got Jeremy Spencer of Fleetwood Mac, too, and he's still a member. They're called The Family International now, though. Completely gross and bizarre history. *shudder*
Yeah, the Pete's Dragon guy Sean Marshall has a military career. Also, would we say that Pete's Dragon is one of the most popular films of all-time?! Beloved, sure, and adorable, but I mention it to folks or start singing "Brazzle Dazzle Day" and they have no clue what I'm talking about.
Could be Joey Cramer from Flight of the Navigator. There isn't much on the internet about his personal life, but he was just arrested for money fraud.

He's not married and quite active on twitter
Jaws..............
I'm just here to slap Unknown for referring to Ray Harryhausen's magnificent stop-motion animation from The Clash of the Titans as "bad special effects."
How about someone from "Gremlins" or "The Goonies" or "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"?
Nice one Tina!
+2 for Tina! It's such a better plan than recruiting all of the convicts in prison! Much more glamorous with much less bum rape involved
The actor who played jake ryan in pretty in pink hasn't done anything in years and there are no recent pics. Not sure of the blockbuster though
"The Sandlot" ..one of those boys.
Jake Ryan now makes handmade furniture in Pennsylvsnia.
Someone from the last starfighter--Chris Hebert (sp?) hasn't worked since 1996 according to Imdb.
What about the kid from Sleepless in Seattle or Black Stallion or Neveremding Story or the original Hobbit or Lion Witch Wardrobe?!
Barret Oliver certainly is rocking the long unkempt beard these days. Based on looks alone I would guess him. He joined the CO$ at 19 when he married but I guess he left them at some point. He certainly fits the clues.
Hermey the elf from Rudolph. I've never seen him in anything else.
@Cohava- agreed
Noah Hathaway from "The Neverending Story"
A kid from honey I shrunk the kids?
Pete's dragon? Worst. Movie. Ever. My younger sister was obsessed with it when we were younger.
A kid from Jaws???
Now THIS is a hell of a blind. Way to go Enty. Can't wait for the reveal.
Edward Furlong and his tutor?
