Blind Item #7
This former B+ list tweener turned A-/B+ list singer could be overheard the other day talking to her makeup person that she has been purging again because she feels like she is gaining weight.

Demopi lovato
demi lovato
*Demi and I think she looks great
I hate this chick. She said on Jimmy Kimmel that she worked out for a year to prepare for her new record. Try working on your idiotic songs, first!
Demi Lovato. I like her voice, but I dont like her. And lately she's always sporting the "a cow licked my hair thats why its so wet" look. Ugh. Annoying.
She's gaining weight and that's not necessarily a *bad* thing, but I don't believe for a minute she shared this bit of information anywhere where she might have been overheard. Unless Wilmer Valderrama is the source.
I don't much like her, never got why she's even minimally popular, but I think this is bullshit.
I forgot to put a name to that, must have thought it was obvious: Demi Lovato.
Agree with Demi guess. I can't imagine what's it's like to grow up in an atmosphere where your physical looks are scrutinized from such an early age with a heavy emphasis on profit. The Mouse House has an incredible ability to churn out self important low esteem young women.
Never understood the binge eating and purging. Okay, I take that back. I totally get the "binge eating" (/grin) but the purging? Oy vey. I had a stomach virus back in May and I threw up for three days straight - every two hours. No lie. I wanted to die.
With that said...I don't understand the purging. Regurgitating is torture on the body...I can't imagine doing that on a daily basis ON PURPOSE! O_o
Agree.Amazing that's she has come through on the other side(seems she has) hope so.
I want to like Demi but she's a fake. She tells girls to love themselves and acts like she does but then she's hiding all this and stays with Wilmer. Ugh...I dislike hypocrites immensely.
well you kinda answered your own question- it "is torture on the body" b/c Bulimia is a serious life-threatening eating disorder/medical condition often based on self- image, judging oneself severely & harshly as flawed...(Mayo Clinic words)
Why doesn't Demi just go on a diet like normal people?
@Glue I can't speak from personal experience with bulimia, but I am anorexic and I can give some insight. You likely associate purging with illness, the negative mental association reinforces the distaste for the physical act. However, if you have an ED, the association is likely a positive one - purging may be distasteful (it ain't never gonna be fun yo), but the relief of getting food/calories out of your body is way more important than the ickyness of purging. And there's a sense of satisfaction that comes from proving to yourself that you're disciplined enough to do what needs to be done even if it's gross. I'm not AT ALL advocating for ED's, just trying to explain how bulimics can purge despite the gross factor. The only time I ever force myself to do so is the morning after heavy drinking (which is rare cause I don't drink), and that's because even f it's gross it's so fucking worth it to get the excess acid and sugar out of my stomach (instant hangover relief!).
sometimes it's not as simple as that unfortunately @Britney. Remember she was in a Rehabilitation Center & took alot of time off b/c of her issues.
@Riven,that helps ME understand a bit more anyway so thanks for that.My best to you.
You really think that someone want to admit/talk to someone that she/he is purging again? Come on! They will never admit out of shame and such. I call this one complete bullshit.
Wut. Did you seriously just suggest someone with an eating disorder simply "go on a diet." Sweet baby jesus in a rainbow tutu, EDs are horrific mental
Thank you Riven. I appreciate your showing the other point of view. I understand it much better now. Thanks again.
It wouldn't surprise me to find that Wilmer is feeding stories about Demi to Enty (and others). He doesn't work and he's an asshole.
@Glue
@Glue & BackAgain no problem, glad to help! I know how difficult it can be to understand, I thought similarly for a long time, and looking at it from a habitual or physiological perspective can help. I'm currently doing okay, I've learned tricks to help identify relapses and manage it long term. And to the person who asked about a diet, it cut off the rest of my response. What I was trying to point out is that ED's are like addictions, once you have an ED it's really easy to trigger the compulsion. Dieting is a restriction, and once you start restricting again your mind can easily overdo it (like my appetite shuts off - not a conscious decision I make, but I stop feeling hungry and have to trick myself into eating anyway).
Oh for fuck's sake, would you please put a sock in it? This is an internet gossip website - public to the whole world. It's not the place to discuss personal issues.
I swear some of you were raised by wolves.
ugh this. something about demi lovato is unbelievably irritating. not as bad as ariana, but still awful in so many ways.
and the Sketcher commercials don't help!
Fuck you very much no I won't "put a sock in it" when someone asks a sincere question about a disease that kills people every god damn day. But it's hilarious that you think your opinion matters to me in the slightest, considering this is just the internet. Don't like it don't read it, is that truly so complicated for you?
