Blind Item #3

One A lister has not said a peep about the passing of Prince. Why? The just about permanent A list singer from an A list family hated Prince with a passion. She has for the past several decades and him passing was probably celebrated in her house.

Other than the rivalry between her brother and Prince I would be curious to find out what other reason there could be for her disdain of him.

There was never really a rivalry between MJ and Prince. MJ liked Prince, Prince shaded MJ on occasion. The end.

Some people say Prince thought JJ stole Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam from him

It's well known Prince had a falling out with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis in the mid 80s. Janet's music in the Control era is similar to the stuff Prince did with ...

This is STRAIGHT from Lipstick Alley!

Hmmmmm,it talks about how Prince tried to steal the song 'What Have You Done For Me Lately' from her... Prince even sang Janet's song 'WHYDFML' at SXSW in March,2013 (and Janet put it on her twitter at the time..the tweet doesn't sound 'NASTY' to me!?)

oops, +1
I just think Janet's pissed b/c MJ named his child after Prince and not her!

Janet did not steal Jam and Lewis - Prince had fired them long before they ever connected.
Jam and Lewis were producing Klymaxx on the side in 1982, and got stuck in Atlanta and missed a Time show. That's why they got canned.
Janet first met up with Jam and Lewis in 1985, when they began writing the songs for "Control" that would come out in 1986.

Jam & Lewis stole WHYDFML from Prince. The Time, the band they originate from had a recording contract with Warner BECAUSE it was a special clause in Prince's contrat with Warner. Prince wrote tons of tracks for them, many unreleased. WHYDFML was one of these demos from the early days. Since the release of the track in 86 Prince has been covering it during his sets by including it into Controversy and asking the audience "Who wrote that ?".
Prince knew Janet is a fraud who does not write her material. She co(opted her ex husband Rene Elizondo because when Control was released the press was saying she was just Jam&Lewis puppet. IT'S ALL ONLINE, ALL OFFICIAL in her divorce papers from RENE. EVERYTHING is there http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/celebrity/janet-jackson-divorce-drama
Janet does not write her material and she does not sing it live either.
She became famous because of her family and who her brother is but she ALWAYS was just an extension of the Michael Jackson brand.
On top of it all she is a horrible person.

You must, Derek, for the good of CDaN! There is no way we can survive without your 30+ narcissistic posts per day! Pull it together for the good of your enormous ego!!!

Prince wrote all or almost all of his own music. I doubt Prince would have tried to steal ‘WHYDFML’.

Jam and Lewis may have stolen from Prince, but Prince certainly was not above stealing from artists as well (and I say that as a huge fan). Sandra St. Victor (of The Family Stand) has been very vocal about the music he stole from her. And why do you think Andre Cymone had Jody Watley utter "Taxi...taxi" at the start of "Looking For A New Love"?

Oh,I'm not saying it's true,I'm just giving the Lipstick alley article site from whence Enty got his Blind!

Her real singing voice is terrible, too. You can get a sample of it on Scream.

Everybody steals from everybody else in music, whether it's on purpose or not. You may as well accuse Prince of ripping off Beethoven - they've used some of the same chord progressions.

Leonard Bernstein borrowed from Beethoven for the song Somewhere in West Side Story.

"Mj name his child after Prince" this is not true. Prince was a "homage" to Michael's grandfather (I think).
