Today's Blind Items - Stranger Danger
This actor was never higher than C+ list. Foreign born and mostly movies he has actually been in some of the biggest movies of all time. Speaking roles in most of them but just a minor character (although one all of you would know). He actually has a chance to be more famous outside of acting in his current career than he ever did acting, despite being in such a huge franchise. He was talking to an interviewer about his new profession and the interviewer asked the former actor why he chose the new profession. The former actor said it was because on the set of the franchise he was scared everyday of getting molested or raped by many of the older men that were on the set. He said this was especially true in the first few films where you learned really quickly not to walk around certain areas of a set or to wander too far away from other people. There were just too many men there who loved nothing more than dragging some 10 year old boy somewhere for 20 minutes and threatening to hit him or get him kicked off the movie if he told anyone. Our former actor said there were only a few older actors who took part, but they were some of the worst. An actor would tell a crew member and the crew member would grab the boy and hold him for the actor and then often the crew member would take a turn too. The former actor said some of the tween girls on the set were bothered, but as far as he knows, none were raped liked the boys. Once the actors got to be a certain age, they could fight or were big enough to get the men to back off, but with new young boys coming in for every film, it was a never ending cycle of sexual abuse and no one did anything to stop it.

I suppose even Enty wouldn't consider Luke Skywalker to be a minor role, but this made me think of Mark Hamill, even though he was an adult filming the first Star Wars film.

'10 year old boy' is key clue here - that's unlikely to be Pirates, or LOTR. That could be Harry Potter. Any other huge franchises with numerous 10 year olds?

Maybe Josh Herdman, who played Goyle in the Harry Potter franchise... he's an MMA fighter now.
(Sad to say this, but I never witnessed molestation or rape when I worked. I just heard a lot of stories about certain actors while on set.)
But, this story sounds like the Hollywood stories that I heard about while working a few films back in the 80's.
Then, again, 80% of all actors are Gay! I was told back then.

If someone wants to state this in an interview, as appears to be in this case, then that's their story to tell. Otherwise, I don't want to know which 10-year-old was raped. I'd rather know who the predator is, so they can be shunned by the industry and the public. Just my opinion.

If his story is true, he needs to make the guilty known. He says they were usually under 10,so there is no grey area of consent.Perhaps another actor will back up the claim.
No, I'll back that up too. Rowling writes very well. And OTOH, a lot of so-called literary "classics" are basically crap.
No wonder why Ian McKellen jumped on the chance to be a part of the franchise when Richard Harris fell ill...

@Guesser, completely agree. These are children, who at the time had no voice. Cannot imagine how difficult it is to reveal their experience now, but if they've reached a healthy way to start healing -- they could save others from the same fate. Silence is what keeps this going. Exposure is the downfall of these pedophiles. How we treat the young and helpless is what we collectively become as a society. Enty, please, "out" the adults, not the children. They need our protection, our outrage, and our action to end these predatory practices. I'd write, "soapbox over" but having now adult children - this one's never over, until it stops. Silence is complicity.
If this goes back all the way to the first or second film, there weren't THAT many older actors who had continuity across the entire series (or even most of it). In terms of characters - Hagrid, Snape, Flitwick, Mr. Weasley, Filch (the ones I can think of off the top of my head). As to Dumbledore - McKellan didn't show up until the 3rd film. Fiennes didn't show up as Voldemort until the 4th film. Creepy to think about.
me! You probably don't know this but Kno Won Uno is spelling 'Huge' the way Gary Trudeau spelt it when he was mocking Trump in his 'Doonesbury' cartoon strip from the 1980's and 1990's. 'Huge' became 'Yuge' when the cartoon Trump was saying it.
Gary even has a book out with all of the Trump cartoons in it.
I cal BS on this story if the person is supposed to be Josh Herdman. He was neither attractive nor desirable during the Harry Potter filming. No man would go after this pudgy, and likely smelly kid. Pure BS.
