Blind Item #2
To boost the shippers on this network hit, these onscreen co-stars are now "dating." Someone should tell his boyfriend that the closeted actor is now "dating" a woman.

What's a shipper?
"Shipping, initially derived from the word relationship, is the desire by fans for two or more people, either real-life people or fictional characters, to be in a relationship, romantic or otherwise. So a shipper is one of those fans." (Wikipedia)
It comes from "relationshipper" and was first used by fans of "The X-Files."
Dang you're smart, even if just for Binging (I'm over google). Thanks!
Yup, the original internet ship, mulder and scully.
The term may have been coined during the X Files but slash fic about Spock/Kirk predates it.
