Blind Item #9
Apparently this permanent A list mostly movie actress craves more of those shiny Oscars. She laid down the law the other day with her manager and agent and publicist. She wants another one. Apparently her people then did some yelling and now the movie in which she starred is being released again. Yep, throw in the face of voters one more time. She already knows she has a Golden Globe nomination. Those reporters are scared to death to go against her.
Meryl Streep
ReplyDeleteMeryl Streep for Florence Foster Jenkins?
ReplyDeleteTo be different, I'll go with Nicole Kidman for her movie "Lion"
ReplyDeleteShe was seen mingling at several Golden Globe affiliated press parties during TIFF.
Imma say Nicole. She sure has been out and about a lot lately and acting friendly/endearing.
ReplyDeletePermanent A list is Streep. I hope Kidman isn't considered Permanent A with as many stinkers as she's done.
ReplyDeleteIt's Streep - story in Variety today about re-release of "Florence Foster Jennings"

ReplyDeleteyes it has to be meryl bc florence foster jenkins was just announced to be re-released in theatres.
honestly that's f//king ridiculous.
I don't think it's Kidman. Enty usually refers to her as foreign born.
ReplyDeleteJuicey blind.
ReplyDeleteHas to be Streep, since it would have to be a movie that was released a while ago to be re-released in theaters. I think hers is the only female role to be favored for a nomination that was released prior to this or next month.
ReplyDeleteUgh. That movie was boring. I would be appalled if Meryl won for that role.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a shame if she got a nom this year for something she can do in her sleep, while it's the most competitive year in ages in the Best Actress category. Lock her out!
ReplyDeleteOh Meryl, you know it's Amy's year.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry - Is Emma "La La Land" Stone going by Amy these days?
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about FFJ was the dance scene with Hugh Grant. One for the dance film archives!
ReplyDeleteThe only actor deserving an Oscar nod for FFJ is Hugh Grant. He was really, really good. Meryl was typically good for Meryl, but this was very different for Hugh and a strong performance. I hope he gets the nod.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's her anyway, but Nicole was born in Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteAmy Adams. I think this is her year. I have to look at Emma Stone's projects for this year.
