Today's Blind Items - Video Store King

A bunch of different names, but all owned by one person. This former B list television actor turned A list mostly movie actor turned seems to be in a ton of movies A- lister owns them. What does he own? Video stores. All over the west coast. All of them lose money hand over fist but our actor doesn't care. Our actor, who is a multiple Academy Award winner/nominee is also a huge pot grower. Massive. Well, let me clarify that. He owns all the land where the pot is grown by farmers who do the actual selling. He just gets a really big cut of the profits. The thing is though, he gets paid in cash. By the 3rd of the month each month, all of his paying tenants have dropped off hundreds of thousands of dollars. So, what does he do? He funnels all that cash through all those video stores. On paper they must be the most successful video stores in the country. Hundreds of fake customers renting a bunch of non existent movies. When he does get an actual customer they are usually faced with a collection that has not been updated in four or five years. But hey, no late fees at his stores.

I guess they may still exist in places where there is no cable TV or high speed internet services? So no DVR and streaming?

woody harrelson has a hemp farm in kentucky, is a proponent of the use of all parts of the plant. is there really a need for secret pot stores now that ca made it legal for recreational use? maybe the video stores are in kentucky or thereabouts too?

Profitable video stores? He could diversify and invest in typewriters or myspace, that will never draw attention from the cops.

  12. All we have to do is just wait for the news of some A+ Lister suddenly being audit by the IRS.

(Then, he can make the (fakenews) Don claim that he can't show his taxes because he is being audited!)

There's one in Portland, OR that I've been to, but it's also got a lot of movie props and costumes. Pretty kitschy.

They still have video stores in rural areas like Indian reservations and coal mining towns. Where I live the drug money is laundered through, no joke, laundromats, bodegas, taco joints, tons of pharmacies and bakeries. The Dominican drug cartel is YUGE in my barrio. YUGE!

Enty, you think this shit is scandalous? Try these hipsters: https://video.vice.com/en_us/video/meet-the-masterminds-behind-las-new-jerry-maguire-video-store/5881151ed670a17f4b6a9fde

I'd set up a Gitmo-like prison on an island to lock and contain hipsters like that up. Save the children. Fucking hell.

Weed is just veggies. In certain parts of Indonesia, people cook it in soup.

Why not be legit and take your pay in weed? Bring the crop to the store front and have it be a chain of weed stores like MedMen in WeHo. Also add delivery service. Make it a super trendy place and then take it public. I get mine delivered in less than an hour. I'm not much of a smoker, it's for pain, but it's like ordering a pizza and the brownies are soooo good.

Getting movies on VHS that are 4-5 years old sounds good to me. That must be hard.
