You know who has lost her touch for comedy? This A list mostly television actress from a very hit very long running pay cable show. Her timing is way off in the new movie comedy she is filming.

Joan Cusack?
Checked, because she was my first thought. She's not filming anything per IMDB.
Melissa McCarthy?
Jennifer Aniston?
SJP - She's filming currently
That is more of a direction problem than hers, in my opinion.
Thx@ Salaam- also can't see her losing her timing - too good.
i think this is it. too much adderall will do that.
@salaam I love your name.
A director can't make you time a joke right without line-reading for the actor and making them imitate, which is annoying and humiliating. Comedy with bad timing isn't comedy. This could mean no one ever hires her for comedy again if she doesn't get over it. Crying convincingly is easy, making others laugh is hard.
Nope, not even the best director on earth can help with that. look at how awkward a lot of Hollywood big names are when they try to do comedy on Saturday Night Live.
I have seen a lot of comedy stars branch out and do drama very well, but it is far harder for a dramatic actor to do comedy... that very seldom works. And, if a comic loses their timing? Nothing is more boring.
