Academy Awards
There was an interview between a cable news channel reporter and this foreign born nominee from last night that was one of the most awkward. Our actor was talking about his film and called his director one of the best men he has ever known. The interviewer said, “Wait. We are talking about the same person right? ________________?” And the actor said of course. and the interviewer just said thanks for your time.

ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Cheers to that interviewer!
ReplyDeleteI dunno....maybe when he isn't shitfaced drunk he's not so bad? Somebody wrote a story about him being really dedicated to a charity that helps Holocaust survivors, could be he's seeing things differently now. The business seems to think he's worthy of getting another shot, but best man you've ever known?
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt Andrew's sincerity, but the thing with shitty people is they're not necessarily shitty to everyone. If you warrant being nice to, either because of your status/power, the fact that you don't embody anything the person hates, etc., I totally get that you can have great experiences with a shitty person. But that doesn't negate the side-eyes - that person is still shitty to others.
ReplyDeleteWell. I guess Andrew Garfield is cancelled for me
ReplyDeleteGo fall off a cliff, yo.
ReplyDeleteMel has done his penance. I've heard many reports of his kindness and generosity. The man just can't drink and I think he knows it now.
ReplyDeleteAndrew was doing his job and playing the game. Even if the people you worked with are jack a sses, you don't publicly say so or you screw your own career.
ReplyDeleteGibson is still an anti-Semite from a family of anti-Semites (his father was a well-known Holocaust denier). Garfield is Jewish. I suppose to him a job is more important than consorting with someone who fundamentally hates you and your people.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, Garfield is dead to me now (actually, he was dead to me when he threw over Shannon Woodward for Emma Stone, but whatever).
ReplyDeleteMel was decent to Andrew. Thats all he knew.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Garfield is not foreign born. He was born in LA.
ReplyDeleteBecause of a blind item on a site that's known for questionable gossip? Man, you're easy to sway.
ReplyDeleteHe punched his girlfriend while she was holding their baby. There's no coming back from that.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people in the entertainment industry - many a lot less talented than Mel Gibson - have a history of bad behavior but only Mel gets dissed by the red carpet interview twits. Whatever.
ReplyDeleteMel maybe a creep and a scumbag but has good reports of him treating fellow actors well.
ReplyDeleteHis girlfriend ended up with two black eyes and broken teeth and he is caught on tape threatening to hit her with a bat; the guys is evil to the core.
ReplyDeleteNo....because Mel Gibson is a racist, sexist, xenophobe and I won't support people who enable him. Also, go fuck yourself
ReplyDeleteAlso, fuck your generalizations. I'm not easy to sway. I hate terrible people. Just like I hate your sorry ass.
ReplyDeleteFucking cunt.
