Your Turn
How old were you when you first flew on an airplane? Where did you go?

25 Ft. Lauderdale Fla.
I was 23. Went to New Orleans. Hate flying, however.
19. St. Louis to visit my college girlfriend.
6mos -Palm Springs CA.
Once when I was flying to Amsterdam, I got quite sick at the airport. My doctor was quite concerned my illness was terminal.
3 1/2 and I have no recollection of it. Better story is when I was about 8-ish, Ken Rawlings, the founder of Otis Spunkmeyer, was on our flight and gave everyone on the plane some cookies.
5ish. sfo to lax.
6ish BOAC (!!!!!) to London
15. PEI (Prince Edward Island).
Just there yesterday actually.... it's growing so quickly(already quite large and a tourist face)- but man Hotels left and right
*new hotels
One of my favorite cities. Of all time:)
Very expensive hotels some combined with condos. I don't think my 2 favorite cheap ones are still there--The holiday Inn at the North end of the strip and the HoJo near the middle. I think the little ones down where all the bars used to be are history too.
The Yankee Clipper! It's still there but being rebranded....(didn't see any HoJos lol).... TheW/The Atlantic is my fabe to stay on...such a pretty place still -and the Marina is immense(cruise ship /boat capital I think?)
Just as all the cast of Below Deck ?
???
The HoJo hotel also had a Howard Johnsons which was good for breakfast and ice cream anyway
Mine as well. Fell in love with that city. Need to go back.
They always say there are 2 kinds of people when they go to N'awlins... those who are visiting and those who are coming home:)
7, to Majorca (Spanish island).
Went to Tasmania when I was 2 but don't remember it. Next plane trip was to Sydney I was about 22. Not a fan of take off and landing.
I was 13. Old, as far as I was concerned! It seemed like EVERYBODY else had flown, although of course they hadn't. We went to Vancouver Island.
Off the top of my head the first time I can think of was 17, when we flew from Toledo, HO to London. But that seems awfully old -- I can't believe I didn't fly before that, but I can't think of anything. We drove everywhere.
21. I flew from Washington DC to Chicago.
13, Orlando!
Three years old. Jamaica.
21 and it was for work..Sacramento to LAX. I missed flight because I was so naive I didn't know how early you had to be. Had to wake up exec mgmt to let them know I was on a later flight and to arrange another pickup. So dumb. Been all over like a pro now.
4 yeats old. Or maybe younger. Flw visitng relatives and than imigrating.
~4 years old. LAX (or maybe a transit to Hawaii/some Pacific island first).
23 years old. From the UK to Paris for my honeymoon. A cheap hotel at La Pigalle in Paris - we didn't realise at first that La Pigalle was the red light district, and we saw lots of 'ladies of the night' and quite a few drag queens. We had a great time!
7 years and it was to California to visit relatives and see Disney land. That was when they served actual meals on planes.
