Nile Rodgers
Little RIchard?
First choice John Sebastian 2nd choice Flo or Eddie from the Turtles 3rd choice Roger McGuinn from The Byrd's?
Not McCartney, I just saw him in concert, totally energetic. Not Jagger, he is still touring and still rocking. Ringo is still playing dates. I hope it isn't him.
Sad for whoever this is. Tom Petty was a big enough loss. No more this year.
Nile Richards had the hit Get Lucky over four years ago with Daft Punk
Neil Sedaka. Seemed well loved by everyone that knew him.
Tony Bennett?
5 decades ago would be 1960's. Little Richard Sounds right.
jeez, there are guesses here for permanent A list i never heard of! the part about 'getting himself ready' sounds like little richard to me. he was very into having his hair done and getting all spiffed up. bless his heart.
I think Montana got it.
Little Richard recently gave an interview, his first in years, maybe for a reason...

Neil Young's the first person to pop into my head. Hope it's not him.
Met Little Richard way back in the 80's!
He was one of the nicest people even though he was struggling with a record company about his record ownership rights.
Hope he's OK.
I am afraid it’s Brian Wilson.
i agree it's little richard. he's in a wheelchair and no longer putting on makeup...he matches the description best.
Definitely Little Richard. The "goodness" is an extra point. I've seen him before in concert and he was amazing. He's not a spring chicken. Regardless, I hope he knows that he's loved.
It is most certainly "the b Little Richard,"as he used to refer to himself. And he does know he is loved, the man has a very, shall we say, healthy, sense of his own self worth. Which is one reason he was always such a joy to see in person.
Jerry Lee Lewis. "Goodness" gracious great balls of fire.
Both Jerry Lee and Little Richard are in wheelchairs now.. so sad to be losing all of these greats.

Nile Rogers is in remission and planning next tour dates. He's an amazing guy, but don't know if I would call him the life of the party.
