I heard a funny joke about a boomerang. Give me a minute, it'll come back to me.
An Easy Bake Oven.
Remote Control Car.
My mom would get a small car on a wire that would only turn in a circle and she would call it remote controlled.
(Yes, we were poor and it's all she could afford.)
everything my brother got that i didn't get.
I try not not to think About it because my parents really did try... it makes me sad. ♥
Atari 2600. Had to play at the neighbor's house. THE HORROR. I know I am better off but boy did I want one of our own :)
Holy...my mom did the exact same thing!
Easy Bake Oven. My mom said she'd teach me how to bake using the real oven, and she did, but she also missed the point of the cute little oven I wanted.
I got all the toys I wanted. I was into playing builder with trucks in sand piles, so my requests weren't too extravagant, but I never got the horse that I really, really wanted. Riding was my favorite past time and took lessons for years.
Barbie dream house, Barbie corvette.
A Thing Maker.
krab, you're so right, it was fun. i can still taste the pizza i made once. do they still make these toys? easy bake ovens and thing makers (i can also still taste those disgusting incredible edibles) seem way too dangerous for today's kids.
Barbie Dream house!!!!! It was my birthday and I got the choice of that or a little blow up pool. I could NOT understand why I couldn't have both, but I chose the little pool. Forty years later I'm still in repressed false memory therapy over it!
Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer!
I wanted a Big Wheel. Never got it. Mom said it was for boys.:(
Easy Bake Oven. My mother wouldn't budge on that one, since I'm a guy.
a wagon, the one with the wooden sides
An Easy Bake Oven. No idea what my parents had against it.
Always wanted a Lite Brite and never got one. Still fascinated with them to this day.
A chemistry set; kept getting dolls. Grr. 1950s.
