Blind Item #8

Provided he can lose the weight and grow back his hair from his current role, this foreign born A list mostly movie actor is set to be offered the most money ever paid an actor for any role if he returns to the superhero franchise he walked away from. Other names might be thrown out there, but our actor is going to be offered $50M just to show up the first day of work and could stand to make another $100M if the movie does as well as would be expected. All of that for just one movie.

  1. Playing Cheney currently and reprising his Batman role.

  2. Think that's it., Montana. BTW - Bale, beyond question best Batman ever.

I just wonder if this could mean Christopher Nolan would also return.

  3. Yeah it's Bale but to do a bad movie just for the money isn't the way to go. DC comics films are starting to get really bad reps as poorly done, poorly thought out and bores. Except for Dark Knight and Wonder Woman.

  6. It has only been one WW movie so far, Sandy. Give them time and I am sure they can find a way to screw it up.

  10. Baffleck shitcanned already? Rebooting the abominable DCCU already? Or would this be set in a different cinematic universe/Elseworld, returning to the Dark Knight-verse?

  14. Christian Bale, but he shouldn’t do it! The Nolan trilogy is best left at that legacy and not tied with the DCU!

  15. comic movies are so yesterday my teenage friends don`t bother going to them any more.

  16. Sorry, but if you read the comics, Batman is dark & broody and Bruce Wayne is the golden boy. Bale nailed both personas. The Keaton & old stuff was just campy, fine for kids but not for a broader audience. Bales could pull it off again, but I don't think he should.

  21. $50 million and possibly $100 more??? I think someone is dreaming. Is Christian Bale's publicist sending in blinds??

  22. I saw Hostiles at a film festival and I know a person who was involved with the film who helped make the movie authentic to native culture. Bale did a pretty good job. I think it is him with Batman.

  23. 50 mil was never better spent, can’t wait.

  24. $150M for one movie? Whether it's good for him or not, Bale would do it. ANY actor would do it, are you kidding me?
