Blind Items Revealed #2 - Mr. X - Old Hollywood

September 20, 2017

They were the leading acting couple on Broadway and even did a couple of movies (they only appeared in one movie together). Heck, they even have (or did have) a theater named after them, but in their personal lives they played the biggest role of all: a married couple. Yes they were both gay and in a "lavender marriage". If you go visit their lavish Midwest estate, which they used as a vacation home/trysting spot and photo op locale, don't even bother to ask about their gay double lives because the tour guide will pull you aside and tell you to shut up.

  1. I love a good Lavender Marriage

  2. I don't think most of the people who visit Ten Chimneys really want to hear the backstory. Mostly elderly folks. The theater geeks who would be interested in their lavender marriage probably already know all about it.

  3. Is this related to the blind from the other day? As their names popped up in the comments..

  4. LOL about the tour guide. And rightfully so to tell you to shut up. 'Old Hollywood' stars where probably far trashier and whore-ier than the present day ones, but at least they put more effort into hiding it. They certainly looked more glamorous and had a better appearance of class than the present day lot.

  5. So what? It worked for them. Can't say that about a lot of so-called heterosexual marriages.
Believe it or not, marriage is about more than just sex.
