Betty White.
Lucy Hale is only 28, looks beat.
Krystin Ritter
Not her she's 36
This is on the tip of my tongue, so that means the CDaNers will figure this out quick.
Dakota Fanning, she doesn't look her age. I'm not sure about mom roles, but she looks old for her age.
Oh yeah I think I saw a commercial for some almost network show with her and was surprised at how old she looked.
Dakota Fanning. It's weird on the "Alienist" in some scenes she looks pretty haggard and old, in others she looks like a kid playing dress up in "old timey" costumes.
Mischa Barton - haha.
Fanning is only 24 and not mostly television
Lena Dunham lol
We really need Tricia on the weekends -
Lucy Hale, her new CW (almost tv) show did terribly this week so if the ratings stick, its bye bye to that A- status.
Definitely Lucy. "Almost network" always means CW.
Dont know this one at al, but by image googling the main s uggestions i think of the two mentioned the most likely is Dakota Fanning.
That Lucy Hale - who I've never heard of - could in no way pass for a mother, let alone a Tween's mother. Dakota Fanning, in the Alienist garb esecially, could. Just.
I havent seen the Alienist as I'm from the UK but I read the book years ago and the book is fantastic.
Rose Leslie (The Good Fight)?
Dakota Fanning, would she be b+? I don't think she looks older than her age but she has always had those precocious, deep, emotional eyes that smack of an old soul. I could see her playing older and not because she isn't aging well, but because her look lends to older... and also seeing her in THE ALIENIST more conservative period attire lends to that era where being mid to late 20s was older in many ways. I think she is a great actress though so I don't know if it is her insofar as her not getting work.
LEANS not lends to older
"Our actress who is still on the young side of 30" and DF is 24, so that must be her obviously!
And LH is 28, so totes could be her too!
Dakota's show, The Alienist, on TNT is doing well in the ratings and has increased throughout the season.
Lucy's show, Life Sentence, just started with the DOA ratings referenced in the Blind. Although with CW you never know, because they tend to keep shows around that aren't justified by the ratings because of their streaming deals.
Almost Network = The CW. TNT would be "cable network."
Is FX considered "mostly network"? Their shows blow off "real networks".
@Sandybrook...I agree with your guess of Lucy Hale.
Brie Larson?
"On the young side of 30" is between 30 and 35. Not an actress in her twenties.
And a 35-year-old could totally have a tween. Wouldn't be that unusual. So, shrug.
Michelle Dockery might be a touch old for this, but she is starring in a Netflix show. And she does look about 40 despite being younger.
Allison Brie?
Could it be a Fox show?
100%
How about Sonequa Martin-Green? Just did a season of the Star Trek show, ratings were disappointing, she’s in her early 30s ...
+2 to SteveD for making 2 good points.
Um, on the young side of 30 would be under 30, wouldn't it?
'Young side of 30' refers to
the younger part of that decade, ie 30-35?
Lena Dunham
KATHERINE HEIGLE OBVIOUSLY JESUS
Taking over from Megan Markle on Suits with USA as the almost network and her prior movie status.
Young side of 30 would mean under mid-30s. Rose Leslie actually does look a lot older than 31.
It could be Sonequa Martin-Green, but what new "almost network" show is she on? The Star Trek show is on CBS.
She does look much older than she did 2 years ago.
Heigl is close to 39. Not the young side of 30.
How do some people here not know what words mean? The young side of 30 means under 30. People over 30 having tween daughters isn't that much of a stretch, they wouldn't need to look "much older". Lucy Hale fits, although in my opinion she pretty much looks her age.
Emily VanCamp
How about if the blog writer just says, 'under thirty', or '30 to 35' or whatever he means?
There's nothing provocative about a mystery with inaccessible clues, or phrases that constantly need interpretation. To me, that's boring.
Gina Rodriguez
Carey Mulligan has a new show on Netflix and she's 32. Definitely looks older than her age.
Saw Carey in that cohen brothers thing about the folk singer. she was amazing. never liked any of her perfs before. horrible in gatsby. you never know....
