Blind Item #8

You know what? Missing from that self fellating article that this artist wrote about himself where he basically said he is a victim and misunderstood and that critics suck is that he is an awful human being. Well, let me tell you a different set of facts. You had a child star doing what was really her first transition to being an actress as a career. She had always been on the edge and figured this was a good place to start. My feeling about this film in relation to her is that it changed how she saw acting and Hollywood and has affected her for two decades. At the beginning she was this loving person who was full of life and after the film was over, she was 180 from that. He treated her like crap. He verbally abused her. He threatened her everyday to fire her if she ate any food. He would scream at her because she wouldn't sleep with him. Even after the movie ended, he would call her and scream at her. When he was editing the movie he would call and yell at her and tell her to lose more weight. I feel like he scarred her for life.

  3. Luc Besson and Natalie. That dude is an open pedophile, and the movie is as creepy as fuck. She was 12 years old playing at seducing a grown ass man. Every pedo is the same, it's always the children that are seducing them, disgusting monsters.

    1. Born in Kiev, Jovovich emigrated with her parents to London when she was five and subsequently immigrated to Sacramento, California, settling in Los Angeles seven months later. In 1987, she began modeling at the age of 12 when Herb Ritts photographed her for the cover of the Italian magazine Lei.

      Hang 'em high.

  5. Vincent is a loser. He did some interview saying Ricci was a drunk, Winona Ryder was a space cadet and Kirsten Dunst was a priss.....because...they refused to take "direction" from him on Brown Bunny. The Chloe Sevigny blowjob movie. In the same breath he said Paris Hilton was amazing and so smart, kind, sexy wonderful etc.

  6. Sad, my favorite Christina was how she looked in Buffalo 66 and Opposite of Sex.

  7. In 1998’s Buffalo 66, Ricci played a teenager who falls in love with her kidnapper, played by Vincent Gallo. She has said that Gallo, who was also directing, insisted Ricci’s mother – who would chaperone her – stay away, and that he regularly screamed at her during the shoot.

  8. When the writer mentioned Ricci to the director, he snapped, "It was OK when she wasn't drunk on the set. I think she's an alcoholic — it was either that, or she was on cough syrup the whole time."

Gallo, who also snidely claimed that Ricci lost weight on the set because he limited her diet, seemed to spit fire. "I don't like her," he continued. "She's an ungrateful c--t. But it was OK. She's basically a puppet. I told her what to do, and she did it."

  10. Vincent basically ruined Chloe Sevignys career when he had her give him a real blow job in Brown Bunny. She didn't think there was anything wrong with that, because I think they were engaged but at the very least, in a relationship at the time. However, Hollywood saw PORN and her rising career died for a long time.

    1. Oh please don't defend Chloe "I'm an artiste and will wear whatever crap designers throw at me because I'm so edgy" she wasn't naive she wanted to be an art/ cinema darling and thought Brown Bunny would be her controversial leap into the big time. Too bad she's dull to watch even when she's giving a bj and still utterly humorless about the whole thing.

  11. This is the dickbag who was selling his sperm for a million bucks, but only to Aryans.
Or skip the middle man and he'd personally inseminate you for 50 grand. Again, only Aryans presumably.

  15. I was barely aware that vincent gallo even existed before today. All I knew was at some point Chloe Sevigny's ex-boyfriend tricked her into making a porn tape with him and tried to sell it as a film.

  16. Vincent Gallo is a misogynistic prick. This from years of being around him in NY&LA. Total creep!!

  17. Gallo has always reminded me of Charles Manson. There's a malevolent sickness in those eyes.

  19. @sandybrook I think the woman he yelled at was Ricci who was curvy young and has been a bobble head since. And I hear Chloe Sevigny is just very eccentric about what roles she likes or wants to take. I don't think she was blacklisted bc of Brown Bunny. Then again the whole experience may have made hear weary of the business and industry folks in general.

  20. Didn't James Cameron supposedly do the same kinda stuff to his wife? The food restrictions, verbal abuse etc or was that someone else? Ahhhh, wonderful Hollyweird, run by misogynistic assfarts.

  21. It's definitely Gallo and Ricci. Woke film twitter was raging on the article Gallo wrote, and Ricci has not been particularly shy about how she dislikes him. It is no secret that he abused her about her weight verbally and that she went on a coke diet afterwards. I can't really lay all the blame for her concern about her appearance at Gallo's feet because I recall gossip sites commenting on her weight, and no doubt other Hollywood jackasses did as well. Not surprised at all to hear he tried to get with her. What I'm really surprised at is that he hasn't tried to do porn.

  27. also chloe sevigny is a known B*tch. she's got the worst attitude program. girl is homely af and will end up one of those 40-something spinsters that attend fashion shows, have a snotty attitude, but literally are alone in the world and just have their palace & cats. gee, I wonder why, chloe?

  28. Gallo's always been candid about his own issues. He's had mental health problems and was in therapy for years. I'm not trying to excuse anything but I don't expect perfection either. For all the hate he generates, no one has come forward with any serious allegations. People just dislike him on a personal level because he said something mean about someone they like, they don't like his work or they dislike his politics. That and the porno thing. Someone should ask Chloe if she preferred working on The Brown Bunny or Kids.

I'd like to know if he really did try to fuck Christina as the blind states. She surely would verify that in this current climate. I find it hard to believe, but I would believe it if it came from her. My understanding is that he was just difficult to work with, without been a lech.

I think he's done some interesting work, and I'm not getting on the hate wagon unless a slew of women come forward. Even if that doesn't happen I feel that Gallo will only ever be more appreciated once he's dead.

  29. Much of Gallo's work comes off as if Wes Bently's character from American Beauty actually made films.

Vincent was a Calvin Klein (among other things) model back in the day. He really hit his peak during the whole "heroin chic" craze. Him and Norman Reedus. So that explains a couple careers.... only Norman seems to have done better fir himself in the long run.

  31. Choe was cast in Big Love after Brown Bunny, wasn't she?

Her career wasn't exactly big time before Brown Bunny either.

She's a rich kid from Connecticut who is living her charmed life in NYC, wearing the most avant garde fashion she can imagine and going to the best parties in town. The acting thing is just a hobby. She literally rolled her eyes during an interview about the BJ in BB. Oh little people just don't get it! It's art!

  32. Supposedly, the crazy artsy director from Entourage, Billy Walsh, was based heavily on Vincent Gallo. This all sounds like something Billy Walsh would do
