The US isn't there cheesegrater we fucked up our regional and lost out. I'll watch a few games especially Brazil and Argentina since I have bets on both teams to win it.
Damn f***ing right. It's every cool holiday rolled into one. Even brought a new small fridge for the beer. Currently filling in my panini sticker album.
Too fucken right I am! I just finished watching a pisspoor Russia dry fuck a pub team standard Saudi Arabia five nil. And its Portugal/Spain this weekend! I cant wait.
@Orangesoda.
I suspect our Count is fond of rugby. You know that game where its followers go on about how manly it is and the whole object of the game is to shove your face into an opponents crotch and the ball gets kicked out of touch every 15 seconds to allow the players to fondle each others junk in a mass on pitch huddling clusterfuck?
No, if I didn't get the TV out of storage for the Stanley Cup -- in a sport a thousand times more exciting to watch than soccer -- I certainly won't for this.
Hell yes I'm watching the WC, answering the OP's question, which was not, "why won't you be watching the world cup," or "do you like soccer" or "what sport do you think is better than soccer?" You don't see soccer fans in some Stanley Cup thread saying how boring hockey is, or how it only takes a functioning brain stem to enjoy NASCAR.
Yes every game I can.
ReplyDeleteZERO desire. None. Nada. Zip. Zilcherino.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sport takes TWO balls. (Auto racing)
I'll see how far the US and South Korea get. I'm more interested in the Rugby World Cup next year. I'd literally who're myself out for tickets.
ReplyDeleteSSDD?
DeleteNo US sucks but it will still be fun to watch.

Shows how closely I've been paying attention. 😂😂😂 How'd SK do? Are they in the finals?
DeleteYes they are in cheesegrater but are in an extremely difficult group with Germany, Sweden and Mexico so they probably will be going home early.
ReplyDeleteDammit. I saw the schedule. I'll definitely be watching the Mexico game.

ReplyDeleteI am no Hispanic, Gay/European or a Millenial, so that is a firm NO! on watching the World Cup.
ReplyDeleteYes
ReplyDeleteMillennials don't watch football, Count. It isn't a mix-gender sport.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching even though I already know that England won't win a single game.
Maybe if it's on in a bar, otherwise my SO might make me watch it with her.

Rugby players are hot. The only sport hotter than rugby is Turkish wrestling.
Deleteare the Yankees playing?? ;) cuz if it is not baseball or college football, then nope, i wont watch.
ReplyDeleteI am in Italy, so even if i would want i won't be able to escape it, and anyway i do love soccer ...Ronaldo, Messi..of course i will see it
ReplyDeleteI'll watch as much as I can. I'd like to see some of the underdogs, or at least middling teams, boot out some of the giants.
ReplyDeleteHell yes.
ReplyDeleteGlad The Count is back.
I am with the Count. Love the lumping Gay and Eurotrash together. Nice touch.
ReplyDelete2 sides of the same coin
Delete@Lonely Bastard,
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to mention how some of them piss in their own mouths too.
Absolutely
ReplyDeleteYES! Especially Spain, England and Italy.
ReplyDeleteItaly didn't qualify. I think Germany or France will win since Spain's manager did the dirty and got sacked.
ReplyDeleteNo, waiting for football, College football
ReplyDeleteOnly when Portugal, Espana, Mexico and Argentina play. Maybe Italy too. Love those Euro players

ReplyDeleteI've got a "world cup" drink up tomorrow that starts after the game :) Any excuse.
ReplyDeleteHockey is basically football/soccer on ice...

ReplyDeleteThe world cup is literally the only time I watch soccer/football.
ReplyDeleteI work with an International group so it's fun to all watch them lose their minds every 4 years.
Yes, because this is the only team sport I can appreciate.
ReplyDeleteNo way France will win. It'll likely be Germany. I just hope that Spain flop out early, for a laugh.
ReplyDeleteWatching everything. My favorite team is Argentina but I have no faith in them this year.
