This writer/producer/showrunner is probably A list right now. This, despite one of his shows being canceled because of his behavior. Will he lose everything once this new story becomes public? He should, but Hollywood loves a winner more than anything and right now he has a winner and the studio wants a sequel. Lets see what they think of this. He is a celebrity offspring and as I have said, I have written about him previously. This though, tops all of what he has been accused of to date.
This happened when he was back in college. In college, he had a reputation as a racist. He referred to anyone Hispanic as brown, or brown people. He never held back on commenting on the size of women's breasts or their appearance. If someone had a heavy accent he would always tell them to learn to speak English. He yelled at professors and they couldn't do anything because his dad had given money to the school. All of that is bad enough, but one night he raped a woman. He did so at a party in a second story room. When he finished raping her, he took her clothes and threw them out the window. He then forced her to walk through the party downstairs without any clothes on after raping her. That woman was subjected to bullying and taunts for the rest of the time she remained at the university. She was the one bullied even though he raped her. She had an emotional and nervous breakdown because of the trauma he caused. He doesn't care. He has shown no willingness to change any of his behaviors and even though he has continued to be horrible to women, studios keep rewarding him because he makes them money. This has to stop.

Wow, what an entitled POS. Love his Dad’s work and was inspired by his Mom to go into my career field. Someone needs to take him into a back alley and teach him a lesson he won’t forget. And btw, Bright sucked hard! The writing was very elementary. He was striving for originality and ended up with a high school level fantasy book. Among some of the noteworthy elements done well that only money can buy, was the makeup fx application. Otherwise, he needs an ego check stat.

Max is a pretty well-known younger screenwriter, aside from being known as John Landis's son. An interesting note about him, from CDaN's perspective, is that he seems to be a friend of Macaulay Culkin. I take that from the fact that he got Culkin to do a cameo on a little video he did for an appearance on Red Letter Media's Best of the Worst bad-movie review show (it's at the very end). In the clip, they take the DVD of a movie starring a young boy (How I Saved the President) and sacrifice it in a satanic-looking ritual. Hmm.
I don't know how seriously to take this one. He annoys the crap out of me, and I can easily imagine all the arrogant BMOC behavior, but rape is another level. Honestly, I would have guessed he was gay, not that that rules out the possibility of raping a woman, of course. But I can also easily think up another explanation.

Actually, we had a lot of people know who this was when it first came out. Don't underestimate this crowd. It's pretty remarkable

Max Landis is well known to the under 30 set who are into Comic Con, etc. He's gotten a lot of screenwriting opportunities because of his father. He had one movie that worked (Chronicle) but the rest of his projects have died at the box office. Netflix won't release their viewing numbers, but word on the street is that Bright was a bomb and the only reason they've ordered another installment is to give the appearance they didn't make bad creative decisions (starting with the screenplay). Make no mistake, this is definitely true. And he is/was surrounded by a group of enablers - many who'd heard the story or knew the girl, and know other people he's assaulted, but continued to be friends with him because of all the benefits. He's a giant POS. He must be going insane not being on Twitter 24/7 because he's afraid of these exact details sinking his career.
