Today's Blind Items - Good Luck With That
The general public thinks they are out there doing good and are thisclose to getting a show canceled. Nope, nope, nope. The public needs to learn the new reality of Hollywood. It is not just agents and managers that are trying by hook or crook to get sex with aspiring new talent. Nope. It is also the executives who are out in Santa Monica trying to create content for their respective streaming networks. The biggest is also the biggest problem. They have a show that has not even debuted yet but it is going to be renewed and renewed if even a couple people watch it each season. Why? First of all, the lead actress who is still very young is a close companion to one of the people who makes a lot of big decisions for the network. He is old and married and would get turned down by every woman who he wasn't paying. The thing is though, now he has a 20 something actress on his arm and in his bed. You think he wants to cancel the show? I don't think so.
Do you think the dozen executives beneath him who regularly visited the show during the casting process where hundreds of barely legal teens were brought in each week and were interested in spending time with the executives want it canceled? Nope.
Do you think the execs who stunt cast at least a dozen of their high school and college crushes for an episode or two and got pictures and pretend love want it canceled? Nope. Do you think the one exec who got to actually hook up with the former A+/A list mostly television actress from back in the day in return for casting her on her own new show wants it canceled? Nope. She was brought in for one episode and managed to get a series out of it. Do you think she wants it canceled? Maybe now that she has what she wants and it will be interesting how she responds.
Finally, this network is not exactly known for shutting everything down just because someone complains. It is a whisper in the back of a nearly deaf ear drum.

That new Netflix show. The fat shaming one. Insatiable.
ReplyDeleteAnswer - every single show in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteDeby Ryanfor the young actress
ReplyDeleteAgree. Debbie Ryan for the lead actress
ReplyDeleteAlyssa Milano is the other
ReplyDeleteMilano or McDowell for former actress. Gheez. Its a sleazy life.
ReplyDeleteAnd people wonder why Julie Chen ever got a permanent job on air at CBS. It's her talent in bed not her brains that kept her employed. I'm sure it's the same at NBC, Fox and ABC\Disney (all the varied networks) as well.
ReplyDeleteI thought Alyssa Milano was the leader of MeToo. Gotta make that money I guess!!
ReplyDeleteShe also dated Timberfake lest we forget...
DeleteSo presumably, there is an asshole lurking inside her somewhere....
Duh. That's why Hollywood will never clean itself up. The execs obviously have no incentive to, but the talent don't either. Even if the outright raping were stopped, not much would change. For every actor/actress who refused to play ball on the casting couch, there are ten more rolling into town who are just as hot who will say, "Hell yeah, I'll do that for a part [gobble gobble]." And the ones who already walked that gauntlet to get famous don't want to break the system that has worked to make them rich and famous.
ReplyDeleteYou'll get some noise when someone like Weinstein doesn't keep his promises, but that's about it. If a exec keeps his side of the deal, he will always have more willing takers, and Americans will shrug and say, "Consenting adults." And the bad ones, the rapists and child molesters, will hide behind the others.
Do you think any of the women who are now on tv (or almost tv) because they willingly had sex with someone want it canceled?
ReplyDeleteNot sure why they were left off the list. Again.
Meanwhile, the NXIVM indictments continue to pile up.

That creepy Netflix Sex education show with Gillian Anderson
ReplyDelete"A teenage virgin who lives with his sex therapist mother teams up with a smart and edgy high school classmate to start their own health clinic."
also that Netflix cartoon Big Mouth about teenage sexuality. it is really gross and has a lot of big names (adults) in it It is basically a show about teenage sex aimed at adults, not teens.
ReplyDelete"Teenage friends find their lives upended by the wonders and horrors of puberty."
@Cail.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully put! 😎

ReplyDeleteJohn "Johnny Ace" Laurenitis and 205 Live. He's got a thing for Cedrick Alexander and still laments Enzo being fired.
ReplyDeleteGood one laurenitis is a p.o.s. him and double p.
Deletethis can’ct be true!
ReplyDeletedidnt netflx just hire the obamasa and isnt one of his old advisors on the board?
the democrats would never put up with that hypocrisy!
I'd heard of "Insatiable," but was wondering--does she inflict her revenge on these people by eating them, too? Is this the second cannibalism show on Netflix?
ReplyDeleteWhen the heck does The Santa Clarita Diet start up again? LOVE that show.
ReplyDeleteDo we think with the Netflix contacts she has that Gilly gets to "cast" the young fillies for that show, she does love a bit of puss and having Netflix's fav show The Crown's writer as her supposed BF I bet she can have whoever she likes.
ReplyDeleteGoodness gracious, are there any entertainment execs who can get laid on their own? Or is that like a job requirement, they have to be completely unappealing sexually. What's the hiring the process like, "Nah this guy's too handsome, he might rat us out, oh this guy's a toad schedule an interview. Ugh this guy looks pretty normal, wait he's super creepy? Cancel the rest of interviews we've found our man."
ReplyDeleteWonder when women take over Hollywood if they'll do this stuff to men, casting couch, etc.
ReplyDeletethe #metoo era is only superficial.
ReplyDeleteshit like this still going down all around.
"Where everyone is either a whore or a john."

ReplyDeletePICTURED: Hillary and Bill's intimate dinner with Harvey Weinstein weeks after her election loss - showing just how close the Clintons were to the 'serial rapist' movie mogul
Were the barely legal teens really interested in screwing these execs? I highly doubt that.
ReplyDeleteThey'd much rather be double checking their calculus homework, of course.
DeleteThe #metoo "reckoning" only happened to Hollywood stars whose harassment stories couldn't be controlled. For a few months, there was a real fear in Hollywood that many more people would be exposed. But once January came around, the tide ebbed and everything is back to business in Tinseltown. Notice how suddenly you don't hear about #TimesUp anymore.
ReplyDeleteLet them think it's back to business as usual. Silence is golden.
ReplyDeleteIf you give someone that you suspect of bad behavior the freedom to behave badly, eventually he or she will be caught and punished.
Yo, Debbie Ryan has always been a hustler. She don’t care.
ReplyDeletegauloise. Jeez it's an ADULT CARTOON! Don't watch it if you get so easily offended. WAL.

ReplyDeletehollywood is an abuse ring full stop

ReplyDeletePretty much as you've described. I mean, you have seen these trolls, haven't you? They invariably look, smell, and act like Wolf of Wall Street Jonah Hill.
I even saw on the local morning news show yesterday that Fuckface Franco is being set to direct and/or act in some movie based on the early days of ESPN titled "Those Guys Have All the Fun". I mean, talk about the Hollywood disconnect from reality.
This doesn't surprise me. When Debby Ryan was on that dumb Disney show, I was around her age. I was too old for Disney by then but I would flip past it and see her in commercials for the show all the time. I have seen a lot of Disney and Nick shows in my day and I'm not blind to what goes on behind the scenes, but let me just say this --
ReplyDeleteDebby Ryan really carried herself like she thought she was hot shit. The way she was, her demeanor, you would think you were watching a poorly acted porn intro. It's good to see she's landed a new role by boning some old guy, and the show itself is about her being a sex object. I always had an instinctive dislike of her and now clearly it's justified because she is, irl, as big of a whore as I had always suspected.
