Burt Ward.
Sorry Ward is still alive my bad!
Billy Mummy?
Ross Martin. Portrayed Artemus Gordon on Wild Wild West in the 60s.
Billy Mumy, who started out in the Twilight Zone in at least 2 episodes and then was a sidekick to a robot.
Now every time I hear a celebrity spent a lot of time and money on children's charities, and things like scouts, I am dubious. :(
Ross Martin is a good guess, he was deeply involved with Children's Asthma, and did some cartoons too.
Ross Martin is a great guess.
I think cowboy got it
I was going to say Jay Silverheels due to terrible movie reboot, but it doesn't quite fit.
Billy Mumy is still alive
Martin got involved with Childrens Asthma while researching for his role in Experiment in Terror

Ross Martin. When I was a kid celebrities would talk about what a great guy he was on talk shows
@gauloise I hear ya. LOTS of innocence lost on this site.
Tonto? Jay Silverheels?
The Lone Ranger reboot was awful!
Ross Martin. Not a blind. His involvement with an asthma charity based on a role is discussed here: http://ross-martin-remembered.com/Charities.htm
Sorry, Gauloise--missed that you'd already posted that link.
One of my dad's favorite actors. "Wild Wild West" one of his all-time favorite TV shows.
@Amartel - that's why I went there with it myself, but he never really had any other roles - was typecast and did little before and after.
But starting with "westerns" was the right impulse.
@Cowboy
Had the same guess but you beat me. Always heard how great Ross was.
Sorry to step on your guess. I wasn't around back then but should have known that he would have been typecast and not have a lot of other roles back in the day. But Lone Ranger reboot was truly awful!
I wish they would stop ruining old shows by "rebooting" them. But then without the old shows there wouldn't be anything of substance to hold our entertainment together. It would be reality bitches all day long.
In other words, a complete flustercluck.
Ha! Yeah, I forgot I was reading a kindness blind and was expecting this to go another way.
If it is the late great Ross Martin he is my BFFs favorite!
My bestie used to go to TWWW conventions back in the 1990s & the fans were trying to replace a collection of videos of all of Martins many guest star appearances that were lost in a house fire. For almost a decade they also tried to raise the money to buy him a star on the Walk Of Fame (& kept raising ever more money & jumping through ever more hoops to do so) but were unsuccessful & gave up after 10 years of trying. That pretty much soured me on the whole Walk of Fame (it really is such a tacky payola thing).
For some reason I thought of Bob Barker
Ross Martin, impressive guy, spoke at least 7 languages, graduated magna cum laude from the City College of New York and earned a law degree from George Washington University.
Lone Ranger but time is wrong I think
Bruce Lee.
