Blind Items Revealed #4

August 16, 2018

One of the organizers of the past tense named event honoring a foreign television show starring a foreign born dual threat A list actor says he was always lovely. He loves the fans and would never say no to any request BUT, was also the reason the event barely made any money because of his security demands and what he charged for appearances. Who was the worst cast member to deal with? This foreign born recurring actor on the show who has been nominated/won a lot of the UK big awards. He says no more often than yes to the requests of fans and is generally rude to all fans and you can tell he only does the event for money.

Sherlocked/Benedict Cumberbatch/Andrew Scott

  4. @Brayson

    +1!!!!

It is no difference how he treats fans, Scott is wonderful. I want more of him, somewhere.

  5. For real. He can be an a-hole all he wants. The only thing I expect from him is to keep killing it as Moriarty.

  6. I dont get why we ever want to meet actors in real life. It's always such a let down. Just act then go away.

  9. Like I said before on another blind-Sherlock fans are odd. They look like they smell a bit, are overly obsessive and to be honest, I would avoid them. As are Star Wars fans/Dr Who fans. I don't mean to offend but a sister of a friend had a baby and called it Benedict Holmes. No word of a lie. She was cross eyed, smelt a bit and was obsessed with Cumberbatch. She scared the shit out of me and her boyfriend was obsessed with Star Wars. He used to wear the same clothes for a week. Need I say more?

    1. Honestly, that's awfully mean and judgmental of you. I'd rather know and be friends with overly-obsessed fans who may be odd and "unattractive" than someone who is unkind and judgmental.

    3. I’m on Amy side. I’m a bit of a nerd but if you visit Sherlock t****r page it’s filled with said desperate fat white girls obsessed with making two fictional male characters gay. The writers are at fault becuase they keeping duping these sexual depressed chicks with homo erotic undertones but never fully making the characters gay.

    4. I'm really not mean or judgemental at all. I am a massive geek obsessed with conspiracy theories! But I wash, don't get obsessed with people (especially those I don't know!) and I'm hopefully not stalker like and creepy. These people are odd but I would NEVER be horrible to them, I just understand why they're not appealing to be around.

  12. Oi, Amy! Let's distinguish between "fan" and "stan".

I consider myself a "fan" of doctor who because I waved enthusiastically at Capaldi and Coleman until they waved back at me.

I am not a "stan" because I stayed behind the security barricades/did not try to get a lock of their hair/ and did take a nice shower with soap that morning

    1. Ophelia, I think people have misread me. Maybe I was a bit harsh. I am not horrible as I have been around these people and I am lovely to them BUT they do get very obsessed and I can understand why they're not appealing to be around. Maybe calling them smelly was harsh but the ones I knew did smell a bit....I shall hang my head in shame!

  13. Andrew Scott is a scenery-chewing ham, IMHO. Not impressed with him at all. Miscast/typecast in "Spectre," because you knew he was bad from the moment you saw him.

  14. Scott is welcome to dislike fan interaction. But then he shouldn't be cashing checks from fan interaction events.

  15. Well obviously the only solution is to make a Moriarty series. :)

"I dont get why we ever want to meet actors in real life. It's always such a let down"

    Ain't THAT the truth!

Except YoYo Ma. He's not an actor but gosh is he a lovely person. So maybe that proves your point. ;P

  17. What @Sal Salington said.

Which is kind of a big deal because so many of these actors can no longer solely rely upon acting & entertainment gigs to make the kind of living they used to make. It is how their industry has changed.

Schwarzenegger is finally doing a Comic-Con (upcoming Alamo) so that should tell you something (he is being obscenely over-paid for it, the rules for those who purchase access to him are a mile long & since I do not care for his performances I can easily skip the $1250.00 per person fee to meet him thanks)

If they are going to be a**holes on my dime at a paid public appearance, I want to know that beforehand so I can avoid them. Not a big fan of this show but who knows what else this actor may do & when he may try this at some future event I consider attending. I know to avoid him & avoid paying to see him.

By the by I have met several actors & actresses in person over my lifetime (some got paid, most did not) & only a very few have been let-downs. But the majority either genuinely enjoyed doing paid public appearances or faked it well. Maybe they can teach this guy a thing or two so he does not prematurely kill off this revenue stream (he may someday need it).

  18. Honestly guys, I don’t care either way? It’s almost refreshing to see an actor who acts anything like the villain they play on screen (not that I necessarily believe Andrew Scott is an asshole).

What do I DO remember about Andrew Scott IRT to fans is he said something about “please don’t see slash fan art to the actors because AWKWEEEERD” or something along those lines. Can’t say I blame him.

You usually hear about the “public darling/sweetheart” actress who plays a oh-tres-innecong-ingΓ©nue who turns out to be a HUGE jerk IRL.

    I find this comforting... 🀷🏻‍♀️

  19. Met Andrew Scott is London. He was very charming. Though my friend and I were in a hurry, so just said few words and left. Took one blurry selfie too. He was very humble with us. I guess we caught him on a good day.

  20. I was really hoping this one wasn’t guessed right before. Moriarty is the best!! It’s a shame Andrew is like that, wasn’t there stuff before about bad blood between him and cumberbatch? And just like the rumors before of cumberbatch and freeman they were brushed aside and made to believe they were miscommunication?!

  21. i love his audio performance in LOCKE

  22. Calling bullshit on this one too, at least the Andrew Scott part of it. I stand by the comments I posted in the original blind, AS is lovely and does not ever treat fans poorly, there are thousands of reports from the cons he has been to that back me up.
