#1 - This A- list actress who all of you know and has a LOT going on in her life right now has her PR team going full effect in tabloid commenting systems defending the actress and trashing the most recent public ex of the former significant other of the actress.
#2 - At a huge charity concert held in the past few weeks there was some big drama. Great folks all the way around, fun times back stage. What is interesting is there was a lot of chatter backstage about another iconic band whose members were invited to join in on stage with the band too. One member of that band is a total a-hole and was making diva-like demands, so it didn't happen. Too bad because it would have been cool. What is more pathetic is that these guys could have used the boost since most of them have had a lot of money woes, including tax problems and have a concert coming up that they can't give away tickets to... some of these idiots just can't get out of the way of their own egos.
#3 - There is drama about a statue for the deceased rocker. There is currently a conflict between a couple of the charities involved, the widow and a local government. Apparently the widow wants the city to pony up $$ to find a permanent place for the statue and to maintain it. The latest gossip is that the government does not want to get involved in another public facing effort that involves money (i.e. a statue) that will bring any criticism upon them. It wasn't like the rocker necessarily expressed adoration for this city, but he also did what he was told, at least for a while.

1.Jolie?
ReplyDelete3. Chris Cornell and Icky Vicky?
ReplyDelete1-Garner?
ReplyDelete2 - there was a charity concert in LA a couple weeks back - Ed Sheeran and Roger Daltry headlined. So the Who for the band to be joined on stage, but not sure who the band with the a-hole who didn't play would be
ReplyDeleteI assume the deceased rocker is Chris Cornell - no one seems to be discussing a Chester Bennington statue - but I think statues of people are a bad idea in the 21st century.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, within a generation everyone forgets who you were and you become a defacto pidgeon perch. Secondly, tearing down statues is all the rage at the moment, and you never know when what you stand for will go out of fashion.
Here's my prediction: we'll have people tearing down Martin Luther King statues within the next 10 years. Whether the people tearing them down will be from the far left or far right is uncertain.
Do Axl and Slash have tax problems? Or Eddie Van Halen and DLR?
ReplyDeleteI’m thinking this is about a Prince statue because there is a little news about that. I didn’t realize he was married or straight.
ReplyDeleteIs #2 Alice In Chains at the PJ show?
ReplyDelete#3 is obvs the vapid cunt - no more rides for free, asshole. Did she pay Childaven that $100,000 she promised them?
Not Prince, he loved Minnesota. Not sure if Cornell cared much about his roots in Seattle but obviously Seattle cares about that stuff.
ReplyDeleteAerosmith have tax problems???
ReplyDelete#3 Prince? Last year there was a petition going around to remove a statue of Columbus and replace it with one of prince.
ReplyDelete1) J. Garner
ReplyDelete2)??
3) Tom Petty / Gainesville

ReplyDelete@Unknown there was never a petition here in Minneapolis to replace a statue of Columbus with Prince.
ReplyDelete#3 is definitely Cornell. The dumb statue was supposed to go up at the end of this month, now postponed to October. Supposedly.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they can get the sculptor that did the Bronz Fonz in Milwaukee, or the Bob Newhart statue in Chicago, or the Lucille Ball statue in Jamestown, NY.
ReplyDelete@Nutty 👏👏👏 pigeon perch! 😹
ReplyDeleteThe statue is Chris Cornell. The unveiling has been postponed.
ReplyDeleteI misread two and thought they were talking about that Smashing Pumpkins disaster.
ReplyDeleteThree is definitely the Chris Cornell stature. A statue he would not have wanted. He though the Michael Jackson statues to promote one of his albums was ridiculous. I'd say use the statue money for charity instead but Vicky would just buy Birkins.
It's just another round of attention whoring to make it all about her. She's become a professional celebrity widow just like Linda Ramone. It's a dream come true. It's just too bad no one cares about that dream but her.
1- Has Jolie fallen to A-? Has Garner ascended to A-? Either of these could work. Garner has more going on, though, with her husband imploding and what looks like a terrible new "let's make Death Wish/The Punisher only with a woman" movie coming out soon that she desperate needs to overperform.
ReplyDelete2- No idea but it's not The Who. Everybody's dead but Townsend.
3- Whenever we read "The Widow," we know they're talking about Icky Vicky, so this is the Chris Cornell statue that isn't going up now until the Fall. Or not at all.
Roger Daltrey is still living.

ReplyDeleteThey should have a Mr Rogers statue, oh they do, cool, yikes, that is a creepy freakin' statue, Mr Rogers was not lumpy.
ReplyDelete1. Garner
ReplyDelete2. Pearl Jam shows in Seattle, a-hole band, Smashing Pumpkins playing Seattle tonight and can't fill Key Arena
3. Cornell
@Pixie_Sticks I thought of SP too but they weren't too close to Seattle around the Aug 8-10 time.
ReplyDeleteAugust 08, 2018 -- Toronto, Ontario @ Air Canada Centre
August 09, 2018 -- London, Ontario @ Budweiser Gardens
August 11, 2018 -- Columbus, OH @ Schottenstein Center
I don't think #2 is Alice in Chains. They don't have "a concert" coming up they have a whole tour and looking at ticket sales via Ticketmaster/LiveNation it does not appear that they are unable to give them away.
ReplyDeletefor sure Garner due to the Publix Ex statement.
ReplyDelete2.I doubt is Alice In Chains, they will tour worldwide again and IMHO Jerry Cantrell can be a diva and make demands cause he is a fucking legend! I don't think he would be an asshole to Mookie Blaylock, they toured together before
ReplyDelete3.nobody made a statue for Layne Staley, I don't get why Chris Cornell deserves one? I don't think neither singers would want stupid statues that will be vandalized, pissed on anyway
forgot to add, the same artist hired to make chris statue made a sculpture of Layne, it's really nice
ReplyDeleteI don't know about "deserving" a statue, but Cornell's second wife apparently insists on "donating" it out of the goodness of her black heart, but refuses to pay for permanent placement and upkeep according to this blind, which everyone can easily believe. So she is trying to get publicity for herself from a statue she didn't personally pay for, to be placed somewhere in a city that doesn't want it. Makes sense in the fantasy world called Kariaynnis Land.
ReplyDeleteTrue @Dannette. In the end it's all about her being in the news again
DeleteI doubt very much that Jen needs to employ a a troll farm to make her look good and Ben like look like a bum . Comments will automatically go that way. I think Ben's team would be the one hiring the Bots for damage control.
ReplyDelete#2Pearl Jam concert, if this was Smashing Pumpkins, I am glad they were not there because BC is not someone I care to see.
ReplyDelete#3 Vicky effs up everything. Put the statue it in the Circus Cemetery and leave Seattle alone.
My dad told me Vicky is begging people to come to this thing. She begged Chris's family in Seattle to be there. I hear they don't pick up the phone when Vicky's people call.
ReplyDeleteAfter the lack of respect that family and especially Toni Karayiannis has shown towards the Cornell family, it is the least they can do. That would explain the reason for postponing that event. No one was going to go. Maybe with the new date she can secure some players, Matt, Kim, Linda Ramone.
DeleteReally Ddonna? I didn't know Roger Daltry died. Pretty sure he's doin' ok.
ReplyDeleteI'm really just tired of hearing about the super incredible wonderful ness, that supposedly is Jennifer garner. Here's Jennifer garner staging an 'intervention' (uh huh) and driving her ex husband to rehab, because she is so wonderful. Here's Jennifer garner getting a star on the sidewalk, because she's so wonderful. Here's Jennifer garner skipping into church, because she's so wonderful. Here's Jennifer garner reading a story to a pet chicken. There's a lot of wonderful women and working mothers out here; but we don't get the "instagram followers", because we aren't married to Batman. still wonderful though.
ReplyDeleteSince when is Linda Ramone a "player?" Shes more like a crusty troll who is rolled out for curiosity factor. Oh look there's Groupie Linda with no interests besides making money off her dead husband.
ReplyDeleteI didn't imply Roger Daltry was dead. I war riffing off another comment that pointed out Daltry sang at a charity concert, my point was that it would be tough for there to be a failed reunion of The Who when only Townsend is left alive.
ReplyDeleteDaltrey is known for staging the annual teenage cancer trust charity concerts at the royal albert hall in the UK, a good guy. This is obviously the pumpkins, the other three blew their millions on drugs like the fools they are.
ReplyDelete
