Can you have Pizza Friday if you had pizza on Thursday? It's a paradox.
Neither. I'd rather be known for an obscure film like The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension or Videodrome and probably never get another chance.
Most popular picture should be the highest grossing movie of the year therefore a superhero franchise, one which will never qualify for the best picture category. Best picture hasn't been released yet, ask again around Christmas I'm sure the people rebooting Mary Poppins want that to be it.
DA BIZZLACK PIZZLE FO SHIZZLE MY NIZZLES
*softshoes offstage*
I'm after the Oscillation Overthruster as well
Barf barf barf all over this new “category” it is a travesty and should not be instated
Why the hell not.
Although I wouldn’t because I’d have a burger on the Friday. Hmmm. Burgers. 🍔🌶🔥
Is this a trick question to see whether people would rather be well-liked or good at what they do? Or something?
Best Picture but fuck the Oscars regardless.
It depends, will the Most Popular Picture winners get to come up on stage and talk, or will they have to stay in the back of the room?
Most popular seems quantitative. Anyone should be able to determine the winner via $$. Best picture is a quality construct.
I love Buckaroo Banzai. Still annoyed they never made the sequel!
Remember when Enty said the producers would never let Elba be James Bond?
Good times, good times.
Idris is so ridiculously hot. I'm sure I'll need to take a "nap" after the Bond movie.
Still a bunch of hype. I'll believe it when I see it.
Idris Elba will be too old by the time Bond 26 gets going.
I think the second-hand sourcing is garbage anyway.
Oscars are a joke now, I don't care about either award. This latest development on the "Best popular film" award is embarrassing and shows how lost the Academy has become.
The report just said that Elba was "being considered." Now that's probably a big step in the segregated Bond world, maybe they'll even let him use the same water fountain as everyone else during auditions.
James Bond - Scottish father, French mother. May as well be Elba these days.
On the question. I don't know if I've seen a good movie this year. Maybe Deathwish, but I haven't seen the new Mission Impossible or Equalizer 2 yet.
neither. i would only want best costume design.
Would you rather be rich, or respected? Is sort of what the question might be. There's lots of one hit wonder types who've won an oscar, especially best supporting actor. The distance from B to A, is about as long as the Brooklyn Bridge!
There being a black '007' makes a lot of sense with the world being mostly non-white and you want to infiltrate it for spying purposes, but a black 'James Bond' is just pandering.
