Nick Cage?
Honorable mentions Matt M and John T
If I thought John Travolting was smart enough to sepeak Russian I would say him.
Segal? but he isn't perm A despite deserving it for Under siege, love that movie.
Some quick research and found the following big actors who speak Russian -
Robert Downey jr. - yes on hair club
Jared Leto - Probably no on hair club
Eli Roth - yes on hair club imo
Ralph Fiennes - I think no on hair club.
Nice cage (I think for Snowden) Hair club YES. Also nuts and a show off when feeling insecure and forgotten, so probably him.
There's a few more like Stallone, Mel Gibson, Sean Peen to name some.
Segal has no academy awards/noms just rasberrys
LOL I am sure he knows how to say "May I have a massage with a happy ending?" in Russian @sandybrook
So with academy award noms who speak Russian-
Nic Cage (definitely agree he is #1 suspect)
Robert Downey Jr (he did get a nom right)
Jared Leto (still can't believe he got an Oscar, but I don't think he wigs it up)
Mel Gibson
Stallone (he speaks Russian, seriously? wow)
Did Damon learn Russian for that CIA movie he did, I doubt it - just memorized script.
If Gibson speaks Russian he could be right up at top with Cage imo. Especially if he was drinking.
Totally sounds like something Cage would do - he loves doing voices and thinks they're all great. Sounds like a fun night! lol
Bwahaha @Montana!😂
So 'being in the hair club for men' means wearing a hair piece?
Gibson has a child with a Russian, plus he's assholish enough to do this.
"So 'being in the hair club for men' means wearing a hair piece?"
Wigs, plugs, hair piece, toupee, any kind of phony receding hairline/baldness camouflage.
Yep. That's who I was going to suggest, Kate. Gibson's ex wife is Russian.
Malkovich
I can't think of a single actor with an AA winner or nominee who has the mental capacity to learn Russian as an adult. Laughed at by the Russian staff serving them, sure, but no I can't think of any who actually know that motherfucking language.
hahahahaha
THIS IS NIC CAGE. he's at TIFF just premiered Mandy.
Uh, the bar is pretty low at CDAN, we should just be grateful he didn't rape any of the staff. Or rape them in russian.
Mickey Rourke
RDJr. This blind feels like a friendly teasing.
Bestman, after your comments, and going back and re-reading it, it does seem to possibly be some good natured, over the top ribbing.
That’s a good possibility, Best Man. Would be funny if true. My first thought was Sean Connery, because of The Hunt for Red October, but I can’t remember if he spoke Russian in the movie.
Oops! He bald.
McConaughey (sp)
Viggo Mortenson?
liev schreiber
Has he won an Oscar?
"speaking russian" might mean speaking english with a heavy russian stage accent, as if one were an actor playing the role of a Russian..
and .... any actor who has done Chekhov (the playwright, not the Starleet ensign) or a cold-sad cold-war movie (Red October, Widowmaker, evan Shatner from Brothers Karamazov or that guy - not Omar Sharif, who has passed away, the other guy - from Doctor Zhivago) knows how to do that.
As for the personality type of someone who would do that .... Downey seems like the best guess. Followed by M. McC.
How about a bl listing all the phoney hair actors? I hear it's almost everybody. Signed someone who still has all his hair but no fame or money.
Well Nic Cage was out for his Mandy premiere last night so he could fit. Not sure I would consider him permanent A list tho but sure.
Secret KGB Operative Powers Activate! XD
Probably some eccentric.
Leaving Las Vegas?
O/T but in relation to who someone brought up earlier, I wanted to share a funny story. A guy I was dating was very excited about the paper he was going to turn into his call in JuCo. He asked me to meet him to help him proofread it, etc... Imagine my shock when the paper he wrote was on the person he admired most in the world was on....Steven Seagal. O....M....G.....that was pretty much it for me. As hot as he was and as great as he was in the sack, I just could not ever be with him again after that. Major cringe. (And yes-I thought he was joking at first, I did laugh, he was offended...I didn't care.)
Good guess! Spoke Russian in Eastern Promises. Spoke it well too.
