Do you guys know Enty has a podcast, right? He basically spilled ALL the tea about her on it and it was amazing, he basically explained her background and how she came to be an escort, obviously, in these blind items everything's make believe so you're the one who has to tell which one's true and which one isn't, but the way he told everything it made a lot of sense. Really, though, any “fan” who’s more fixated on WAGs of celebrities/artists (more than the main celeb/artist themselves, or their work) should be kept a close eye on.
And I mean that on both sides of the spectrum: The ones who HATE the WAGs as well as the Stans who mindlessly fawn and worship a woman like some deity only because of who she’s married to (but really just live vicariously through said WAG).
I remember one time I was at a hateful Tumblr blog where they pick apart every single [perceived] flaw an actor’s wife had and I thought to myself, “but, judging by the awful things you say on your blog, if YOU were in his wife’s position, you’d be much worse tho, wouldn’t you? How do I know you wouldn’t be more of an attention hoarder/fameho than the current wife is?”
And then there are the haters who think/act they’re the celebrity’s mother and play the role of the “disapproving MIL” and hate on the WAG in a way you’d normally only see IRL toward a DIL (a recurring theme is: “he can do so much better whewheeee and I know what’s best for him!”).
Another time, Enty called an actor’s wife out for going out of line (I can’t remember what she was doing exactly, but it was some form of professional-assholery—something like going around offering/promising projects on behalf of her husband’s company when she had little experience as a producer & didn’t know what she was doing, or something like that). And one commenter said, “OWH MAH GAWD, THATS SO MISOGYNISTIK OF ENTYYYYYU. My SJW sensibilities want me so beh sowh outrahaaaged!” (Even though if a dude did that on behalf of his partner’s company, it would’ve been an asshole-ish move regardless of gender.) And my first instinct upon reading that was, “Woah, you’re only saying that because if YOU were in the wife’s position, you do the EXACT same shit, wouldn’t you?” 😳😖 #Awkward #WeirdassVibes
What outrages us is a reflection of who we are. Ex: I get defensive/mad at people who hate/look down on YouTubers because I want to create my own content too, so I don’t have to couch.
JUST WATCH: If you gave a chance to any of the Meghan haters to be Harry’s wife for a day, just watch what happens... 😏 I’d bet you they’d behave appallingly (worse than anything they’ve ever accused Meghan of).
That being said, IDK if the same can be applied to any Meghan Markle haters just because “she’s her own entity”, if that makes sense? I think she’s just such an “own person” (like she’s not a plain canvas people can easily live vicariously through like Kate—but that rubs Harry’s fans the wrong way). Kate’s whole identity is attached to being married with William whereas Meghan was actress before... Like, WHO IS KATE? 😐 (And I’m not even saying that to be mean, it’s just a fact—because the same could be said about Diana, and I adore Diana.) My favourite hater BS is when they claim “nobody watches ‘Suits’.”
Which is BS anyway because some people (like me) have always genuinely loved that show. Regardless of Meghan.
