Blind Item #3

For once, this foreign born B list singer isn't canceling shows because of drugs. Instead, she canceled a couple of shows because the ticket sales were less than 100 people in each venue. No one is all that interested in seeing her. It has been kind of embarrassing.

Yep it's old Triple Nipple Allen.

She's got to build herself up again with smaller venues. Or lower ticket prices heaven forbid.

Some of her music was OK to be fair, but she got too political. I'm still waiting for her to open her house to immigrants like she claimed she would do after she chastised the rest of us for not letting immigrants into our homes...

She recently said that Meghans pregnancy was planned in such a way that people became distracted from Brexit! I dont know if i would go watch her show after that, coz what antics she might pull onstage!

Dare I say this? More than a couple concerts have been cancelled due to lack of ticket sale recently. My grown daughter, who used to be Connie Concert Goer, told me this weekend that she and her friends wouldn't be caught near a concert now with all the nut jobs out there. She said the violence will ruin careers and they will be blamed for the ticket sales, not the real reason---violence. She said very soon one of the people on stage will be shot and killed. I believe her. She went to a Beyonce concert in labor!

It already happened, Boo; Dimebag Darrell was shot to death on stage several years ago. By somebody that was pissed that he left Pantera, if I remember correctly.

Low Key--Nathan Gale was the nutjob who killed Dime, along with 3 other people (one of them a fan who jumped onstage to try to render first aid); he was convinced, among other things, that Pantera had been stealing his lyrics, and he was pissed that they'd broken up. This story covers it pretty well: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/behind-the-murder-of-dimebag-darrell-233541/

(For those of you who like gore, there is apparently footage out there of Gale literally having his head blown off by Officer Niggemeyer; the latter received an award--I apologize for not remembering which one--for his actions in saving so many other people that night at the Villa Rosa. As Rolling Stone pointed out, it happened on the 24th anniversary of John Lennon's murder, which is why you'll sometimes hear people refer to December 8th as "rock's 9/11"--not in terms of casualties, but in terms of the emotional devastation among fans. I happened to be on the Metal Sludge forums that night when word first came in via fans who had literally just fled the show, and were clearly still shaking as they posted that Dime had been shot onstage...it was horrible. So yes, there are reasons people get patted down and have their bags searched at shows now, and Lennon and Dime are two of the biggest ones.)

Low Key & Robin: Thank you for this background info, as I never heard of these performers nor their on-stage murders! I must look this up. She was talking about in the future. Wondering who it will be and who will be the gunman and who will be the gun-ee. Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Perry Como are looking down from that Sound Booth In The Sky and are in shock at what goes for talent these days and how violent so many artists appear to be. So glad I am not in my 20's any longer.

I like Lily Allen, still listen to her now and then, good original songwriter, peppy, fun. Sorry not sorry, I just do. I like her. Hope things go better, it has never been that easy for her I think.
