This blind is classic Himmmm. I thought I would leave it in situ so to speak just leaving the names blank and providing a brief clue about each.
Did you also know that _________________ (former child actress turned A lister turned doesn't act any longer) grandfather (actor) was given a s**t-ton of stock from Jack Warner as part of his profit-sharing deal in the late 1920s? It makes those family feuds they had and still have make much more sense now. And when ________________ (silent film actress) and the grandfather split up, SHE got the shares. And through ALL the sell-offs, mergers, buyouts, etc. those shares were NEVER sold! Jack Warner – who apparently f**ked the lovely silent film actress - had them converted to Seven Arts stock; then the family lawyers had them converted to Kinney National stock (aka Steve Ross' Mafia family); then those stocks were split and converted into Warner Communications stock. The silent film actress was actually the third largest shareholder in Warner's back when Jack ripped off his brothers. And after the former A lister was legally emancipated her lawyers got control of those shares, which were split and given par value through the Time-Warner deals, AOL deals, etc.
Today, the former A lister is the majority owner of two shell companies that control those minority limited partnership shares and the voting stock power. Yet, she's not even involved in her production company having any deals at WB. Seems odd. So other people are proxies for her and her company. Proxies also representing other families. It's quite an amazing maze. Oh yeah, those smart lawyers for the silent film actress and later for the former A lister? A legal legend named Sidney Korshak. Google him. Quite the legend himself. He greased the wheels for the mob in Hollywood.
Drew Barrymore/John Barrymore/Dolores Costello

Drew Barrymore/John Barrymore/Dolores Costello
Maybe this is why Drew doesn't work much anymore bitch is rich rich rich rich?
ReplyDeleteIf she doesn't need the money, then why is she selling Crocs?? I'm so confused now.
ReplyDeleteI knew it! Wrong on the silent actress - I was guessing Swanson, as she was into business.
ReplyDeleteThe silent actress name is already given.
ReplyDeleteThis is a reveal, the names are at the bottom.
A real follow the money situation.
ReplyDeleteSo, Santa Clarita Diet is a figment of my imagination?
ReplyDeleteIf I were here I'd be sitting their like Robert DeNiro at the end of Angelheart, and bwu-ha-haing like a motherfucker as I plotted my inevitable terribke vengeance on any cunt who had ever crossed me in Hollyweird..
ReplyDeleteBill Murray's fucked.
Good for her!
When did Bill Murray cross Drew Barrymore?
DeleteAnd if she's so rich, how come all the pedos who messed up her childhood are still free and alive?
"If I were her" not 'here'. Jesus, fucking autocorrect!
ReplyDeleteHer dad had 3 other kids, so I wonder why she would get it all
ReplyDeleteDrew still acts, but she's able to be more selective, she has a few producer credits and has a cosmetics line as well as anything that might actually be true in this blind. I can't wait for season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet.
ReplyDelete+1 Karen
ReplyDeleteDoubt it. Firstly Warners, 7Arts etc were public companies and there is no insider filings showing large holdings by the Barrymore's. Secondly Drew's father was broke and homeless on the streets. Drew herself grew up in near poverty. Does that scream massive wealth to you? Thirdly, if there was anything, Drew is only one eighth heir. Much of her money comes from the very successful Charlie's Angels films which she produced.
ReplyDeleteYou're at the office for the day, and you overhear a conversation at the water cooler where somebody you don't even know spills the supposed beans about what happens at the company. For most of the people, it goes in one ear and out the other. For some other, it's a JUICY story they can't wait to share with their followers.
ReplyDeleteIt's exactly what happens here. It is some urban legend, that comes here with embellishments and an utter disregard for facts. Typical Himmmm, I'd say.
As a few people here have noticed, the blind is full of implausible things. The first season of Santa Clarita Diet was released in February 2017, seven months before the blind. The show was renewed by then. She doesn't work as much as before, but she has two young daughters and went through a divorce with their father two years ago.
Drew has a few siblings, and the shares Dolores Costello supposedly received in the roaring twenties would have been totally diluted at this point. If you know a few things about Warner, the company was sold in the sixties for a pittance to Kinney because they were running out of cash. Even if the Costello story is somewhat true (she may have received a few shares in the day but not a ton of them), there's no way that Jack Warner would have focused more on the shares that belonged to a woman who had been his mistress four decades ago than on his own or the fate of the studio he had created and ruled for decades.
How dare you question me?
ReplyDeleteIt’s pretty easy to do.. you just...question?
DeleteSounds pretty plausible to me. Himmm's blinds are always the most plausible, like he has direct knowledge.
ReplyDeleteAn eighth share in a large chunk of Warner stock, after all the mergers, would be a pretty nice steady income from dividends. I wouldn't turn my nose down at it. It might not be "massive wealth" - which Himmm never stated, but I bet it's more than enough to have a very comfortable lifestyle from - and help fund a startup production company.
Drew's father was pretty much a hermit at the time of his mother's death, crazy and a fall down drunk like his father, which is why Drew grew up broke. By all accounts he was estranged from the whole family at that point - which would explain the family lawyers getting control of his shares of Dolores' estate after she died in 1979. Drew was emancipated in 1989? I think? Adds up to me. The stocks would have been worth pursuing at that point.
Someone needs to tell her about Kevin Tsujihara's partying with Bryan Singer, Ratner, Weinstein and the rest!
ReplyDeleteDon’t drag Bryan Singer into this. He is a great guy. I’ve actually been letting him stay with me a bit lately and I’ve found him to be very misunderstood. We are going to make a movie together actually.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone who can't tell, this ^^^ is not the real Himmmm.
ReplyDeleteDrew has a Netflix show so she still acts. lol

Himmmm is a delusional failed screenwriter from Virginia whose hobby is to pretend he's a Hollywood player, or more exactly a few Hollywood players. He briefly spent some time there in the late nineties, but never got a single project produced.
When he posted his big blind item about the wild night he spent with Jaime Pressly on the Fox lot, the story where it was obvious the main character was Paul Thomas Anderson, I teased him with a few comments about how poorly the story was built (he had lifted the structure from The Hangover...) and that the tone reflected in no way the views of PTA, particularly on women. He replied to me, claimed he wasn't the guy in the story, who however had told him all the deets, then out of the blue wrote a story that Thomas Pynchon had told him.
Thomas Pynchon is a famously reclusive novelist. Think J.D. Salinger, but a Salinger who would still release new books. No picture for 50 years. Just a vocal cameo for The Simpsons. PTA directed a adaptation of a Pynchon novel, Inherent Vice. PTA gave at the time a few interviews. The interviewers were all briefed by his publicist that he wouldn't answer any question about his personal relationship with Pynchon.
Then, five years later, the guy drops a Pynchon story, just to win a petty fight.
Yeah, because that's what the real PTA or his mouthpiece would do with a nobody on the web...
That's all you need to know about Himmmmm. Sure, a few people here want to believe he's RDJ, PTA, Kiefer Sutherland and some other less famous guy who's a music producer. And actually so does he. He's a guy who desperately wants to be, at least for a while in his own writing, one of the guys he regards as models or inspirations. He pictures what it would be to be inside their shoes. He definitely loves Hollywood, particularly old Hollywood. There's a ton of urban legends, the kind that Kenneth Anger collected in Hollywood Babylon (or actually made up). He just updates or amplifies them, but he has no more direct knowledge about what he writes than I have direct access to Emma Stone's lily-white panties.
Angella, Please stop insinuating I am that pedophile Talley Griffith. I would never molest my own children.
ReplyDeleteIf you are hot though I'd molest you!
This is a gossip site. I don't read blinds believing they are gospel. I read Enty, Mr. X, and Himmm for entertainment, because they are funny and guessing is a good way to pass some time. It doesn't matter who they are I am a fan!
ReplyDeleteHimmm, as far as I know, is several people, so...I guess you have an opinion, Angela?
ReplyDeleteHmmm pretends to be several people. He wrote one pretending to be PTA himself.
ReplyDeleteI give Hmmm props for doing his research and wringing any rumor dry. Some of his stories are fun and everyone knows they are meant to be only that. Some of his stories are downright disgusting in his constant need to degrade women and make himself the cool guy everyone "loves like a brother."
No, he did NOT write one pretending to be PTA himself.
DeleteYou Are An Idiot.
Seriously, fucking learn to read
Did you hear I am writing a book and I’m going to start selling coffee cups?
ReplyDeleteNo, but I heard you were one of those people the Himmmms are dealing with through their legal team.

"ANY POSTS/COMMENTS SINCE THEN HAVE BEEN BY AN ILLEGAL IMPERSONATOR."
ReplyDeleteComing from a guy who's himmmmmself an illegal impersonator, that's rich...
And yet, here you are... Again. What about scrolling thru any himmmm blinds, or any of that made up silly ped0 nonsense?
DeleteIt's bizarre how much time you put into this
@Kim
ReplyDeleteIt would be a gas watching Hmmm whatever trying to enforce this protection of the Hmmmm name here. I'd make popcorn.
In other words, whatever Hmmmm is posting Twits has no case or power over the other Hmmms posting.
@rosie
" he did NOT write one pretending to be PTA himself."
yeah, he did. 'Course it was exactly like the other Hmmm blinds so it's tough to find it again but it was well discussed in the comments section how Hmmm this time was trying to be PTA.
