Wendy Williams?
Likely...but how do you renew "The Wendy Williams Show" and have it hosted by someone not named Wendy Williams.
Unless you're bringing Wendy O Williams from the Plasmatics back from the dead?
+1 It was announced yesterday her show was renewed for 2 seasons
Haha.I remember her
Yeah, the previous Wendy O. Williams had a highly-publicized trial after being arrested in Milwaukee. I don't think any of her music has been particularly influential, however. It's not referenced very much.
Her show was renewed through 2020 many months ago.
Saw that she is contemplating divorce now that she learned her husband impregnated a mistress however when he is thoroughly wrapped up in all aspects of the show and her career (manager) how can she cleanly extricate herself from all that.
Surprised she didn’t learn from her first marriage.
It was renewed yesterday through 2021
No way they’re replacing her. The show wouldn’t be the same and they know it.
@Nutty_Flavor - I think Wendy and the Plasmatics were known more for stage antics than any of their music. Songs like "Butcher Baby" simply weren't that good. But set against a stage where Wendy, wearing nothing but whipped cream and strategically placed electrical tape would chiam saw a guitar, or smash a TV with a sledgehammer, it made for what the 20 year old me saw as decent entertainment.
Saw them a couple of times. It would take my ears three days to recover from the decibel level.
Ha ha Moose! Great to hear from someone who saw them live.
I've always had a soft spot for Wendy O. Williams if I ended up a housewife in Connecticut at the end of my career. I might blow my brains out too.
That part! She needs to pay him to go away and enjoy his life with his mistress and their kids
If I paid for a man who cheated on me to go away, I would find a way to also use that money to make sure he is always miserable.
There are always ways out of contracts and you know they definitely put in some loopholes this time.
She's always known about her husband and didn't care, but can't risk losing face when it goes public.
The affiliates continue to be bought into Wendy. Her people pushed Deb-Mar and 20th Century (distributors) hand to show confidence and renew and distributors got a 'discount' to commit to another year. That said, with Jerry OConnell, the ratings / demographic stayed the same. 20th Century doesn't want to lose the prime timeslots. And they have Wendy on tape - at a minimum - medicated. She has a doctor to back that up in court. Ultimately, if she doesn't get her stuff together, there are clauses to get her out and the producers would have a year to keep the timeslot and build with another talent. Its always a win-win for the 'big guys.' We all know this comes down to money. Wendy isn't well because of her choices. Primarily, sticking with the dead beat husband Kevin Hunter.
Damnnn Wendy
